Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Festus

After checking in my kids and I immediately went and got changed to go to the pool. We live in the area and only got a hotel room for pool access for a mini vacay. Only after a few minutes in the pool my oldest who is special needs came up to me holding his arm freaking out. He had a large deep gash that hadn’t started bleeding yet but we knew was coming. There was a place on the wall of the pool that was broken and he slid against the wall it sliced him right open. I left my newborn and my 1 year old with my daughter while I rushed to the front desk for help. He was very cold and not very helpful other than just saying here’s a first aid kit if it isn’t enough then go to the hospital. I left to take him to the hospital but requested an accident report since he is a foster child and I like to make sure I have all proper documentation. I was traveling alone with my special needs foster children and my husband was an hour away. I was freaking out. My son did end up needing stitches which we already knew he would get. After returning from the hospital there was someone else at the front desk and she knew nothing of the incident with my son. So he never did any sort of documentation. We went to check and the pool was still open. There on the broken wall was the chunk of my son that was ripped out of his arm. And my the chair was all the drops of blood from where he started bleeding. They never cleaned up after the incident and didn’t even close the pool.

Looks like it's being renovated, or needs to be.

Room dirty, mirror cracked all the way down, shelf for towels hanging by one arm so no place for towels, stinky, pool to cold to get in and dirty.

One of the worst I’ve stayed in. Very unkept. The pool water was freezing. Would not recommend it

The floors were dirty. Trash all over. Indoor pool was freezing. Breakfast was either empty or still frozen (sausage, hash browns). Apparently Baymont just acquired this property, but much more work should have been done before opening. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets though. The toilet had to be flushed 6x just to get rid of toilet paper.

I didnt appreciate that I wasn't informed about the pool being closed for maintenence. Our TV had one channel, the toilet only flushed about 1/2 the time. We did enjoy the air conditioning and the vanity and shower. Breakfast was meh. Honestly I am probably not going to be staying at a quality inn ever again if I can help it.

The property itself was horrible from the lobby to the room. The carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years and the mold smell was terrible. I requested another room which was some what better but the smell is terrible. The pool was not clean. The experience here is one that I would never try again. The pictures on line does not look anything like it in person. The Code Inforcement needs to be called because this hotel needs an overhaul.

Moved rooms twice for no heat. Heating unit removed in first room entirely. Exposed wiring. Bathtubs not clean. Threatening appearing people loitering around outer door and smoking. Workman tried to enter room with key while I was in the room. Security latch barely held - allowed large opening anyone could reach through. Did not feel safe there. Noisy. Construction/repairs ongoing into the night. Defective smoke detector beeping constantly.

The building was a combination of a couple of buildings. They never used the AC. Made getting around from room to other areas difficult.

They was doing construction on The floor I was on . The had 10 Mexican people in the hallway drinking and partying. They refuse to give me my money back.

Room and bathroom were clean, our room’s carpet had holes and was ripped up by the AC the room smelled moldy. Employees were polite

The room was so filthy and smelled of cigarette smoke we asked for a refund and left. Maintenance was horrible, stains in the carpets, holes in the walls, paint missing! One of the Worst Hotels I have ever been in!

Toilet did not flush ptoperly. Also found a piece of chewed gum stuck to the headboard. Gross...

Hotel was very dirty, shower had a washcloth over the showerhead, had been rust stained. Found out it was there vecause of a leak. Had a window that overlooked a hallway inside, but the window would not close. Was a very bad experience!

Older hotel that needs some tlc. Staff was accommodating and addressed the problems we had. Beds were new and very comfortable. Carpet was dirty.

The hotel was very clean and had a nice variety for breakfast. Breakfast area was kept clean and well stocked.

I liked lots of restaurants near by. The bed was cofortable. The condition of rooms was very old, torn carpet. broken shower and furniture stained.

Heater did not work-was provided a a small space heater- no smoke alarm in room-only wires hanging out where it should have been-hotel appears very aged and not well maintained

Room 1 had no curtains, room 2 had a broken tv, a wire hanging where the fire alarm should be and ants, finally ok room with curtains falling off the windows. The whole hotel was dirty with furniture falling apart, road noise, and no security. The staff were lovely and did their best to help. Don't stay here.

I really don't want to give them a lousy review because they are trying to do repairs on the building. Beds were comfy, breakfast was good, tv works, and a nice shower!

When you drive around the building it looks like a homeless camp. Trash and garbage on the side walks like chicken bones. Every time we flushed the toilet in our room we had to use the plunger to just get water to go down. No sugars, stirrers, etc. For the coffee. Im sure we will not make that mistake again.

This hotel sucks, but it’s cheap. The staff was pretty nice and accommodating. The hotel is just really rundown and has some questionable guests.

Bathroom TP spindle missing, coffee maker missing lid. Tub was extremely worn out. People hanging out in parking lot during the night.
