The television reception was horrible. The signal kept fading in and out for most channels making it impossible to watch television programs. The parking lot was always filled to capacity each evening so difficult to find a parking space.

Clean, well-maintained property. The room was spacious. Felt very secure and free parking was readily available. Excellent steakhouse restaurant in the casino area. Employees were very friendly. The only criticism is that there is no swimming pool. Other than that, this property is an excellent value.

This hotel is a good value, but mildly inconvenient. The check-in area is in a separate building (the casino) across a large, busy parking lot from the hotel rooms. A plus is the lake on the east side, where you can take a walk with lots of locals.

Nice hotel. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Area was quiet and felt safe. The odd thing is the front desk isn't attached to the hotel, but across the parking lot, inside the casino. And, because it's a casino, the actual hotel parking lot is crowded with casino guests, which made finding a space after 6 p.m. rather difficult. And while we weren't in our room much, the TV kept losing the channels due to poor reception.

I stayed a few nights… by the morning of the second night I was covered in red bites on my torso, no doubt bed bugs. Room 237. Checked out and reported to front desk, and asked her to make sure they clean and spray the mattress for bed bugs. She stated she would let the manager know at 8am when she came in.

The room smelled like an indoor pool or like the whole room carpet was cleaned with bleach. i could barley breath correctly and i couldnt even stay in the room so i got my fing refund and went to a hotel that didnt make me want to throw up. By far the worst stay or i guess you call it attempted stay at a hotel in my life Also, the sports book closed after the last game started in the day.........every sports book in the world closes after the last game of the day is OVER not started. the manager basically hid from me in the begining when i asked for the manager at the front desk. then when i called same thing but i persisted. she made me out to be ""sensitive"" to the smell of the bleach. TO MCUH BLEACH IS TOXIC AND CAUSES ALL KINDS OF HELATH PROBLEMS! READ A BOOK!

Issue #1 - I brought my 2 small dogs so I had to pay a $200 deposit. When I got to my room I found what looked like pet stains, 4 of them, on the carpet and a spot by the door that looked like dried vomit. I immediately took pictures and informed the front desk. One of my dogs is white and she got so dirty from the room that I had to get her groomed after my visit. Issue #2 - The toilet and sink where both severely cracked. Issue #3 - This was a very minor issue but the remote for the TV didn't work. Had to wait for a new one. Issue #4 - Parking was absolutely horrible. After driving over 12 hours the only thing I wanted was a bed, didn't happen. The staff was nice but it would have been appreciated to have my pet deposit, or the $25 extra a night pet fee, to get comped. As a matter of fact even any kind of compensation would have been nice, all I got was "...sorry for your inconvenience...". How this place has a 9 star rating I'll never know. I will not be using Hotels.com or visiting Western Village ever again.

I have never seen a place so clean! The many restaurants made it easy to choose what to eat and the food was excellent The young man who checked me in (sorry I forget your name. (Long black hair, one ninth German)) was so nice. He made checking in easy.

This is not my first time staying at this hotel. A few times a year I will stay here when I have to go into work at the office and don’t wanna get up really early because I live a little over an hour away. I was a little disappointed at the cleanliness of my room. There were a lot of crumbs on the ground/carpet which made me think the room was not vacuumed before my stay. There was hair in the shower.

Nice enough stay at a great price. Parking is crazy, especially with an XL vehicle. Room and bathroom quite nice - surroundings not so much. Some grassy areas instead of all concrete and rocks would be nice.

Erica was a wonderful clerk. I didn’t realize I book a regular room instead of a pet room. She was gracious & patient with my mistakes. She accommodated me & changed my booking. The room was wonderful & comfortable. The dog relief area (dog potty) was sticker free & easy to access. No, wonder the OTR truck drivers stay here. The price was very reasonable. Thank you for excellent service.

The stay was excellent and the hotel staff were great. I have nothing but good things to say about the majority of the staff at Western Village. I did want to bring something at the Sportsbook to management’s attention though. I overheard one of the bartenders and cocktail waitresses openly talking trash about my father and my wife. The cocktail waitress blurted out loud enough for customers, particularly me, to hear her say why is she with him, he is bald! That was my father she was talking about and that was my wife they were insinuating was with him. I thought that was extremely unprofessional to do on the floor. At least do it where no one can hear. I will gladly come back to stay at Western Village but me and that bartender and cocktail waitress will have a “come to Jesus meeting” if I ever hear them say something about one of my family members again. One of the most unprofessional things I have seen in a while. I will gladly point them out if management is interested in more information.

We only stayed one night at this spot but it was very nice, clean and comfortable. We were close to the festivities happening that weekend and did not have to deal with a ton of traffic. The location overlooked the marina which was gorgeous. This is definitely a place we plan to stay again.

This is a great place to stay if you like to be detached from the gambling hall. It is also across from a lake that is great to walk around and see geese and take in a sunset . The hotel is also convenient for all major freeways for going to Tahoe or Pyramid Lake . Also many great restaurants are nearby . I will be coming back soon .

Great location, easy in & out. Right by the beautiful Sparks lake. Restaurants in the casino were very good. Staff very friendly.

A great bargain for the Reno area these days. Close to the Legends shopping complex if that's your thing, otherwise it is a bit removed from other Reno activities and downtown is 4 miles away. Casino is all slots after Covid, and I miss the table games. Restaurants are good, and rooms are great. A fine place for a stop over in the Reno/Sparks area.

Surprisingly nice for a smaller property. Gas and Starbucks nearby, and close to the freeway. Incredibly delicious food at the in-house Mexican restaurant, one of four in- house. Plenty of variety in casino.

Room is clean although the building is already old, they’ve maintained the cleanliness of the hotel. The 24 hr restaurant in the casino was really good in terms of taste, serving and price.

Our stay was excellent and so was the entire staff in the hotel and the casino. Room was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The casino and restaurant were spotless and very nice. We were there for 9 nights, and the only disappointment was the food served in the main restaurant. Most everything was overcooked, cold, or bland. Ate elsewhere when possible. That being said, everything else deserves 5 stars. We will hopefully be returning next year, and fingers crossed the food will be better.

The room was very clean and large. The best bathroom I have seen in a hotel. The cafe had three dinner specials. Drinks at the bar near the cafe were outstanding and came with great conversation.

Steakhouse on property is excellent, the rest of the food options are mediocre at best. Bar areas are small and understaffed, you will have a long wait for a drink. Casino and hotel are both fairly clean and seem secure. Check in process was quick and easy.

Hotel was clean and grounds and pet area recently redone and nice. Only complaint was that we got there a little after 3 and we weren't able to check in until after 4:30 due to room not being ready. Because we had our small dog with us we had to sit outside until our room was ready. We understand that due to the Hawk fire they were busy but it was 92° outside and we're senior citizens. No consideration. We were there to celebrate my husband's 86th birthday. We won't be returning again
