Staff were superb, lovely room and food very nice. As it was a business trip stay I was bitterly disappointed that I had minimal/no internet connection in room 23. With an important conference call that evening, I was given a meeting room from the very kind staff - however it would have been nice in the comfort of my own room

Beautiful setting and lovely buildings. Room was good but stairs are a killer if on floor2 - I had notified about accessibility. Food was great and staff in bar were very attentive- both were excellent. Noisy room 22 - due to kitchen air conditioning right outside window - great after restaurant and bar closed. Would go back.

Absolutely Brilliant stay but InternetWiFi connection let stay down. As a business traveller, I need Internet connection to be able to run my reports and send in, et cetera. I couldn’t do it on this occasion from the room I stayed in (room 17) otherwise, the place is brilliant to stay at.

A really lovely original old style building surrounded by well maintained grounds. Set in a quiet countryside location. Staff very helpful and friendly, I would definitely stay again and recommend!

You can't have a hotel room in this day and age without wifi edpecially at a hotel that has poor phone reception. The TV has facility for Netflix, Prime Video, etc but they all can't be used due to the lack of internet signal. It surely isn't that hard to fix a few routers throughout the corridors even if the building is listed

While the staff were really friendly (couldn’t say anything bad about that part of our stay) we were really disappointed with other parts of our stay. We had requested a cot (rang up on the 10th March) which they hadn’t made a note of so it took 2 Hours to be delivered to our room, meaning that our baby couldn’t have a nap when we arrived. We also were not informed that that there was no bar area available to sit, which we had wanted to eat in as we knew we wouldn’t be able to eat in the main restaurant as it didn’t open until 6pm. The general manager was really helpful and found us a seat in the restaurant and said we could eat in there early, however it took over an hour for our food to arrived and the food was very disappointing and expensive. The burger we had ordered wasn’t fresh and it was missing some add ons that we had requested and whilst the mackerel salad was lovely, it was very small for the price it was. When we then came to check out the next morning, we were surprised to find a charge of £10 for the cot (this didn’t include a sheet) as this hadn’t been mentioned to us at all and then had charged us wrongly for dinner, despite us mentioning that some things we had ordered hadn’t arrived. Again, we honestly can’t fault the staff and the room was lovely (as are the grounds) but overall our experience wasn’t positive unfortunately.

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are absolutely stunning—an old manor house with plenty of outdoor space, making for a peaceful and quiet retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. As expected with an older building, there are no lifts, which wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for those who struggle with stairs. The room itself was amazing—spacious and much bigger than our last stay. The shower was powerful, and the room was well-equipped with tea, coffee, and biscuits. There were plenty of plugs for charging, plus a desk, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the very soft mattress, which unfortunately left me with some backache. It’s a shame because everything else was perfect. Parking was plentiful, with spaces available both at the front and back of the hotel. Overall, a wonderful stay—I’d love to return, but I’d have to check if firmer mattresses are available!

The property is lovely however the rooms could do with a refurb. The carpets are old and marked, mould around the windows and bathroom. Shower was cold, no hot water from the shower. Shower head was on a tilt facing the wall so you had to swivel around to get under it. Food was lovely. Staff very friendly. T.V had limited Channels so couldn’t watch Netflix or anything. Quilt could do with being changed as was flat like a blanket no softness in it and same for the pillows.

Room 6 was appalling, with stained carpet, damaged woodwork, peeling wallpaper, stained bed base (not even covered with a valance) and cracked floor tiles in the bathroom. The mattress was rock hard and no mattress topper was available. We asked for a non feather double duvet, but were given a single duvet only. We asked again the following day and were given a double duvet. The continental breakfast offering was poor, with only a croissant or one pastry, the only fruit was watermelon, and a poor selection of cereals, and few spreads for toast. The cooked breakfast was nice. The building and grounds are beautiful, but don't be fooled by the claim that the bedrooms are 'luxuriously refurbished'.

There was no heating in the rooms so it was freezing. The staff weren't bothered and had no blankets when asked. The rooms weren't that clean. The bar staff couldn't make a hot toddy for my sister who was feeling unwell due to her cold room and no hot water. Apparently this drink wS not on the system so impossible to make. Such a lack of customer care is shocking. We won't be booking again

The staff were very helpful at the hotel, very polite. Helped us with recommending somewhere to eat as we were half an hour too early to check In. Sadly the room which was meant to be executive felt very tired and worn. Under the bed it was really dirty and hadn’t been hoovered for months by the build up of dust. The water was only tepid in the shower in the morning. Overall very disappointed after the money that we spent.

The surrounding grounds were beautiful and very well kept, unfortunately the room didn’t meet the same standards. It was perfectly fine for a quick stop over, but there was dust and cobwebs around the window sills and bathroom, grubby throw on the bed and the decor is generally in need of an update and refresh. The room was nicely quiet and the staff were pleasant. Plenty of parking space.

Stayed at this hotel overnight whilst awaiting to collect our dog following surgery. Hotel set in it's own grounds,we were woken by blackbirds. Room very clean and both bed linen and bath linen,first class, soft and fluffy. Staff very kind and professional. Food well prepared and very good dinning room. Glorious views from all rooms. Recommend, away from it all

We absolutely loved our stay at Inglewood Manor. The setting is beautiful, gorgeous grounds and the sound of the birds in the morning was delightful. Lovely seating area outside on the patio. A short convenient drive into Chester. Our room was lovely, very comfy bed and super strong shower! However the TV noise from the next door room was so loud we had to go to reception to ask them to turn it down (which they did!) - the walls are paper thin unfortunately. This was the only minor problem though, everything else was perfect and would definitely stay there again

This is a beautiful Manor House in equally beautiful grounds. It is a very comfortable and calm place to stay and the room was large with everything needed with a lovely view over the grounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful; the breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked dishes as well as a buffet with cereal etc, as was the Sunday roast dinner. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt it was very good value for money. This is now our favourite hotel on the Wirral.
This is a beautiful Manor House in equally beautiful grounds. It is a very comfortable and calm place to stay and the room was large with everything needed with a lovely view over the grounds. Only reviewing room 18. Surely it needs to be listed on the hotel that rooms at the back of the hotel are going to be effected with noise by the kitchens extractor fan 24/7? If I knew at the time of booking I was going to get a room with the single glazed window within 20cm of the extraction I wouldn't have booked. Can't add photos but it is right outside the window. Extraction apparently gets turned off at 10pm but it definitely does not. You will need earplugs to sleep in my opinion in the rooms facing it. Also the radiator valve was broken and the heating was set to full wack so the windows had to be open and I had to listen to an extraction system until 11pm when the heating in the building was turned off or basically not be in the sweaty room.

Food was great and staff in bar were very attentive- both were excellent. Noisy room 22 - due to kitchen air conditioning right outside window - great after restaurant and bar closed. Would go back.

Absolutely Brilliant stay but InternetWiFi connection let stay down. As a business traveller, I need Internet connection to be able to run my reports and send in, et cetera. I couldn’t do it on this occasion from the room I stayed in (room 17) otherwise, the place is brilliant to stay at.

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are absolutely stunning—an old manor house with plenty of outdoor space, making for a peaceful and quiet retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. As expected with an older building, there are no lifts, which wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for those who struggle with stairs. The room itself was amazing—spacious and much bigger than our last stay. The shower was powerful, and the room was well-equipped with tea, coffee, and biscuits. There were plenty of plugs for charging, plus a desk, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the very soft mattress, which unfortunately left me with some backache. It’s a shame because everything else was perfect. Parking was plentiful, with spaces available both at the front and back of the hotel. Overall, a wonderful stay—I’d love to return, but I’d have to check if firmer mattresses are available!

The hotel is a good stay but I’m concerned about the way the keep and destroy personal data. On checking in a was asked for id, not a usual thing but perfectly okay. The person on reception then tried to take a photocopy. When I asked why I was told it was for any damages. I asked how my data would be destroyed after departure and they couldn’t explain, they also didn’t seem to understand why I was bothered about it. He should me a stack of check in forms with photocopied id attached. They were just on the desk, anyone could access them, and bear in mind when I checked in the desk was unattended. In the end I refused to let him take a copy. It is unusual for a hotel to ask for ID, this is needed for those that are not uk citizens but it is not usual to them photocopy and as far as I’m concerned unnecessary as I can’t see how that will help recoup any room damage costs. For this reason I wouldn’t stay again, I found the reason and process very slack

Hayden is a credit to the establishment unlike the young girl that eventually checked me in…stood ages as she checked a man in…then tried to belittle me in a fake condescending accent when I asked if I could have a robe and slippers&a charger for my mobile if any…straight up no with a dipped tone and an impolite shake of the head…with a smirk on her face! Then she reverted back to her own accent & began whispering and laughing about me to the young waiter&waitress as I sat at 2 cluttered tables beside reception at the real fire…with 2 logs burning on it…I asked a more mature looking young man if I could borrow a robe&slippers&charger&he smiled and said certainly and immediately went to get them…I replied I knew you’s would have them…your colleague said she didn’t! And thanked him…I then asked her whilst I waited on them if she could give me a tray&cloth to clear the tables! She hesitantly said she would get someone who eventually arrived&clattered&banged as she removed the littered tables against her will…she never returned to clean them…I said again to the young girl it would be nice to get them wiped so the next person could sit in comfort…she gave me a snyd smirk..after having to change rooms due to the shower water going all over the tiled floor…the 2nd room was more spacious but tired and dated…the teddy on the bed didn’t have a price tag which was misleading.i sat in the bar for dinner which was lovely! Hotel and most staff very good. Breakfast excellent. There was a large party in at evening dinner and it took 1 1/2hrs for the two of us to get our food. Had to ask the staff to take our order as left in a corner and made to feel like an inconvenience. Fire alarm kept going off and staff just disappeared and left us on our own. No communication from staff at all re waiting time for food. No apology until complained. Spoilt a special birthday break away. Won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

This is the third time at the property as it's convenient but every time there has been issues with overcharging. the latest stay has finished me staying here, we were relegated to a window less room for dinner and refused access to the bar as there was a function ?? Overcharged again (double charged for dinner) promised a refund but on checking nothing had been sent. Found somewhere else for future.

So exterior of the hotel & grounds look good, room was OK. Hallways could do with some paining, alot of woodwork & banisters with wear. Breakfast, fresh fruit on the menu, but not present. Full English with cumberland sausage, wasn't cumberland. If you want any alternative, e.g. pancakes = +supplement charge. Eggs Royal = Supplement charge. Beer at the bar in the evening = + service charge (Discretionary ....!) I didn't have dinner but presume there was the +service charge there also. I had a small VIP voucher/credit to apply to my booking, was not recognised at check-out, so had to question it to get it applied. Good job I did in the end as I wasn't given the option to check my bill & they had charged wrong room onto wrong cards, so had to wait for re-charging to my C.C. ( still waiting for the real copy invoice which was to be sent by e-mail 2 days ago) Not a good experience for me.

We absolutely loved our stay at Inglewood Manor. The setting is beautiful, gorgeous grounds and the sound of the birds in the morning was delightful. Lovely seating area outside on the patio. A short convenient drive into Chester. Our room was lovely, very comfy bed and super strong shower! However the TV noise from the next door room was so loud we had to go to reception to ask them to turn it down (which they did!) - the walls are paper thin unfortunately. This was the only minor problem though, everything else was perfect and would definitely stay there again

It's a wonderful Hotel within a nice tutor style residence. The location is excellent just a short drive to the coast and Liverpool. Great place to make a base for a few days on my way back down to London. My room was very large, excellent comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, heating, water pressure and very clean. I had a great view of the grounds, I as on the top floor in one of the attic room. The staff were particularly pleasant, very friendly too. Great location, great Hotel and pleasant stay. I'd stay again.

Hotel was very nice. Gardens beautiful. Executive room was lovely. Very quiet when we were there & no atmosphere so didnt drink at bar. Breakfast needed to be hotter because it was luke warm which was a shame.

As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by extremely friendly staff, they made us feel very relaxed straight away. As checkin was at 3pm, we booked an afternoon tea for 1.30pm to make the most of our stay - it was delicious, and catered for allergies altering my platter beautifully. We booked the Executive suite, Room was spacious and the addition of bath robes was lovely. Evening meal and breakfast was awesome 10 out of 10. Would definitely stay again

While the staff were really friendly (couldn’t say anything bad about that part of our stay) we were really disappointed with other parts of our stay. We had requested a cot (rang up on the 10th March) which they hadn’t made a note of so it took 2 Hours to be delivered to our room, meaning that our baby couldn’t have a nap when we arrived. We also were not informed that that there was no bar area available to sit, which we had wanted to eat in as we knew we wouldn’t be able to eat in the main restaurant as it didn’t open until 6pm. The general manager was really helpful and found us a seat in the restaurant and said we could eat in there early, however it took over an hour for our food to arrived and the food was very disappointing and expensive. The burger we had ordered wasn’t fresh and it was missing some add ons that we had requested and whilst the mackerel salad was lovely, it was very small for the price it was. When we then came to check out the next morning, we were surprised to find a charge of £10 for the cot (this didn’t include a sheet) as this hadn’t been mentioned to us at all and then had charged us wrongly for dinner, despite us mentioning that some things we had ordered hadn’t arrived. Again, we honestly can’t fault the staff and the room was lovely (as are the grounds) but overall our experience wasn’t positive unfortunately.

Very disappointing stay, mainly due to poor communication and customer service. We booked a room for three, but on arrival it had only been prepared for two. When we raised this, the receptionist was dismissive and suggested it was because we booked through a 3rd party website. However, our receipt clearly shows that we paid the additional fee for the third guest, including a bed for them. We were told we should have contacted the hotel beforehand to confirm the arrangements. We had actually tried several times to call, but nobody answered. We also emailed the hotel directly a full week before our stay and received no response. So this was not simply a third-party booking issue — we had actively tried to resolve it with the hotel in advance and were ignored. By chance, we found a sofa bed in the room and had to make it up ourselves. Bedding was provided when requested, which I appreciate, but we were told nothing else could be done as there was no housekeeping available. At checkout, the same receptionist challenged the factual mid-stay review, saying she disagreed with it because she had done her best. She also said it wasn't her fault our email hadn't been answered because she wasn't on reception that day. We weren't blaming her personally, but her attitude towards negative feedback was terrible. Mistakes happen, but how they are handled matters. Unfortunately, the communication, room preparation and customer service fell well below expectations. We will not be returning.

We also emailed the hotel directly a full week before our stay and received no response. So this was not simply a third-party booking issue — we had actively tried to resolve it with the hotel in advance and were ignored. By chance, we found a sofa bed in the room and had to make it up ourselves. Bedding was provided when requested, which I appreciate, but we were told nothing else could be done as there was no housekeeping available. At checkout, the same receptionist challenged the factual mid-stay review, saying she disagreed with it because she had done her best. She also said it wasn't her fault our email hadn't been answered because she wasn't on reception that day. We weren't blaming her personally, but her attitude towards negative feedback was terrible. Mistakes happen, but how they are handled matters. Unfortunately, the communication, room preparation and customer service fell well below expectations. We will not be returning.
