A gem of a place - they have made so much out of a simple sparse farm area. The staff was absolutely lovely and the restaurant - both dinner and breakfast - was super good, high quality and excellent service. Rooms are simple and clean. Cows are behind a glass wall but you can visit them whenever you want! Perfectly located for Myvatn area visiting.

We loved our stay here. Our cabin /room was in pristine shape with wonderful bedding. The restaurant and meals were amazing. We dined while watching the cows being milked. 5 star stay!!

This was a working dairy farm. It was very interesting to see the cows being milked or feeding in the pasture. The buffet breakfast was the best we had on our 10-day trip around Iceland. They had very many offerings. Since it was a dairy farm, they had fresh cheeses and yogurt. The lodging was in log cabins. The beds were very comfortable. Each cabin had parking.

Incredibly good value for money. Our room was cosy and spacious. Parking was super close so easy to get luggage in and out. Very quiet location. Restaurant and shop over the road was lovely especially seeing the milking cows. Beautiful scenery and we saw the northern lights!! Highly recommend.

This is a unique property set on a working farm. One of the highlights was being able to see the cows through the dining room window during breakfast and dinner — and even getting the chance to visit and pet them, which was a real treat. The rooms were cozy and cabin-like, with effective blackout curtains, though it did get quite hot in June without air conditioning. The bathroom was small but the space overall was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the property and soaking in the peaceful natural surroundings — though do be prepared for mosquitoes and bugs. The food was a standout (but expensive): the vegetarian dinner was delicious, and breakfast featured the most amazing fresh bread.

The rooms were located across the street from the reception and the restaurant. Parking by the rooms was very accessible. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I had not realized that not only do you have rooms on either side of you but also on the back as well. So it was very noisy, but I had a portable sound machine, which was helpful. Also, the rooms were all in a small area so when people were out at night, it was very noisy. I Highly recommend eating at the restaurant. We had the best lamb shank and lamb fillet dinner! The staff was extremely friendly, and the dining area was very cozy and comfortable. Also, the included breakfast was excellent.

Centrally located to visit Myvatn region. Very clean, spacious and convenient rooms who do not really have an interesting outside view though. But who cares, you don't come to this region to stay in your room. The view from the main building is much more open to the countryside on one side and looking directly into the stables on the other side. The restaurant/bar is very nicely decorated, staff is very friendly and helpful and food served is really good. For us this was our favorite guesthouse on our 11 days roundtrip of Iceland!

Der Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft hat uns gut gefallen. Zimmer war gemütlich uns sauber. Frühstück sehr gut. Wir haben im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen - war sehr gut! In der Ortschaft befinden sich eine Tankstelle und ein Supermarkt. Preis-Leistung stimmt! "Negativpunkt" - das Zimmer war sehr warm und wir mussten Nachts mehrmals das Fenster aufmachen. Ein bisschen hellhörig.

We stayed at Vogafjos for two nights on our trip around the ring road. It was super comfortable, clean and quiet. We had dinner at their restaurant one night and it was fantastic - one of the best meals of our trip so far! I highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again!

Lovely rooms across from the farm, spacious, cozy and very comfortable. Breakfast was typical European offerings, nothing hot, with windows looking onto the cow milking operation and the farm. We arrived to a very beautiful sunset over Lake Myvatn. The hotel is conveniently located close to the lake, Crater and geothermal area. Dinner was good but expensive like most Iceland restaurants!

Wow! This place exceeded our expectations on every level. Our little cabin room was darling, spacious, with a comfy bed and powerful shower. Dinner was fantastic!! Location’s beautiful and we saw the Northern Lights :) Happily stay here again!

This is a great place with a kind staff. You are very close to all the things to see in the area. The working farm was fun to see while we ate breakfast. We would 100% stay here again.

This was our favorite place that we stayed during our trip around the ring road. We were supposed to stay two nights, but we're unable to arrive until our second night due to road conditions further north. They were so understanding and accommodating. We will definitely stay again.

This property is a treat as they have a farm, restaurant and the inn. We enjoyed everything except the wind and rain - lol! The owner/manager was super helpful with Road.IS as a big storm was on our heels and many roads were closed. I would highly recommend this property!

Lovely rooms across from the farm, spacious, cozy and very comfortable. Breakfast was typical European offerings, nothing hot, with windows looking onto the cow milking operation and the farm. We arrived to a very beautiful sunset over Lake Myvatn. The hotel is conveniently located close to the lake, Crater and geothermal area. Dinner was good but expensive like most Iceland restaurants!

Wow! This place exceeded our expectations on every level. Our little cabin room was darling, spacious, with a comfy bed and powerful shower. Dinner was fantastic!! Location’s beautiful and we saw the Northern Lights :) Happily stay here again!

Incredibly good value for money. Our room was cosy and spacious. Parking was super close so easy to get luggage in and out. Very quiet location. Restaurant and shop over the road was lovely especially seeing the milking cows. Beautiful scenery and we saw the northern lights!! Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful time here. You are basically right in lake Myvatn and the rooms are basically in the lava fields of the area. We got to pet the baby and adult cows and ate breakfast while they were being milked which was amazing. The dinner and the breakfast buffet were both delicious. The room itself was very nice (but very hot) and the bed was good. Everyone who worked here was really lovely.

Centrally located to visit Myvatn region. Very clean, spacious and convenient rooms who do not really have an interesting outside view though. But who cares, you don't come to this region to stay in your room. The view from the main building is much more open to the countryside on one side and looking directly into the stables on the other side. The restaurant/bar is very nicely decorated, staff is very friendly and helpful and food served is really good. For us this was our favorite guesthouse on our 11 days roundtrip of Iceland!

This was a working dairy farm. It was very interesting to see the cows being milked or feeding in the pasture. The buffet breakfast was the best we had on our 10-day trip around Iceland. They had very many offerings. Since it was a dairy farm, they had fresh cheeses and yogurt. The lodging was in log cabins. The beds were very comfortable. Each cabin had parking.

This is a unique property set on a working farm. One of the highlights was being able to see the cows through the dining room window during breakfast and dinner — and even getting the chance to visit and pet them, which was a real treat. The rooms were cozy and cabin-like, with effective blackout curtains, though it did get quite hot in June without air conditioning. The bathroom was small but the space overall was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the property and soaking in the peaceful natural surroundings — though do be prepared for mosquitoes and bugs. The food was a standout (but expensive): the vegetarian dinner was delicious, and breakfast featured the most amazing fresh bread.

The rooms were located across the street from the reception and the restaurant. Parking by the rooms was very accessible. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I had not realized that not only do you have rooms on either side of you but also on the back as well. So it was very noisy, but I had a portable sound machine, which was helpful. Also, the rooms were all in a small area so when people were out at night, it was very noisy. I Highly recommend eating at the restaurant. We had the best lamb shank and lamb fillet dinner! The staff was extremely friendly, and the dining area was very cozy and comfortable. Also, the included breakfast was excellent.

We stayed at Vogafjos for two nights on our trip around the ring road. It was super comfortable, clean and quiet. We had dinner at their restaurant one night and it was fantastic - one of the best meals of our trip so far! I highly recommend and we would definitely stay there again!

Best of our trip! You recover cows-need I say more! Breakfast and dinner was loaded with tons of options ( vegetarian too)high quality, locally sourced and homemade dishes. We rented a cabin type room. The only down side was that there wasn’t tv. Loved exploring Mývatn nature and going to the baths too. The staff and animals made this place really special

Absolutely Adorable Farm Stay! One of Our Favorites in Iceland! Oh my goodness, we absolutely LOVED this place! Such an adorable, charming farm stay! The young woman at the front desk grew up on the farm and was incredibly knowledgeable. She gave us wonderful recommendations on places to explore and things to see. The farm-to-table breakfast was PHENOMENAL! We loved watching the sheep and cows while we ate. Such a fun and authentic Icelandic experience! Our room was perfect, the location was great, and everything was so peaceful and quiet. You can truly tell how much love and pride this amazing family puts into their property. They have done a fantastic job! This was one of our favorite stays in Iceland, and we would absolutely return! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend staying here. Check in was easy; however, they will charge you a city tax. Rooms were spacious, clean, and the area was dark for viewing the Northern Lights. The breakfast was amazing. Great spread / options. The dinner was also great but it's on the expensive side. Wife and I thought it was well worth it. The staff were exceptional. They quickly assisted when needed and were down to earth. Great stay!
