Previous Hotels.com reviews did not match the reality on this one. Low 2 star hotel at best, but previous made it seem better. I was specifically looking for one wiyh a fitness room, and this one had no towels, the door wasn't secured, the light goes out after 5 mins and you can't move enough on the treadmill to get it to come on. Equipment is pretty cut rate and uneven. Room was adequate, although my office chair was broken and there was a stain on the couch. The area is not good. Next to truck stop and seems like homeless people walking around quite a bit.

The breakfast was AMAZING. So many options! We immensely enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Only deducted points because it’s under construction right now and the door to our room was open when we arrived and was difficult to shut. Otherwise, kind and helpful staff and overall extremely pleased with our stay!

Breakfasts was good. Common areas were a little dingy. Some of the staff was not very friendly. Hot tub was cold. Didn't replace toilet paper.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. My husband is in the swimming pool industry and we would not get into that pool. It was horrible and very unsafe to swim in. Bed was hard and pillows uncomfortable. Dog waa barking most of the night.

Hard to communicate with staff. Couldn't get in our room . The key wasnt working . Husband went down twice. I finally called and had the guy come up. He changed our room. Never apologized for the inconvenience. The jacuzzi is very dangerous, getting in and out of there is no stairs. No sign to keep kids out of the jacuzzi . Staff shuts down the breakfest on the dot. So they can eat. Hotel is aged. The bed and pillows where great. Room was clean.

Nice amenities - indoor pool & hot tub, nice lobby, great breakfast! Clean room had mini frig & microwave & seating area with 2 side chairs. Enjoyed our weekend stay!

The room itself was fine. Comfortable beds and clean. The lady at the front desk when we checked in was not friendly at all. The only thing she said was the absolute necessities. No hello, how are you etc. the pool needs work, peeling paint on floors, wore out chairs, pool water was so cold my 5 year old grandson wouldn’t even swim. Hot tub was warm but no jets so it was more of a bath tub. Breakfast was good with decent selection.

It was just…..dirty and run down. The overall condition of the property is broken features in the room (our fridge and our coffee pot) heavily chipped doors and trim, stained carpet and sheets, dusty tables in the breakfast area, broken wheel on the cart/trolley, broken back door, keys that needed to be reprogrammed everyday…..:just not a clean property. We only had one full size towels, burned out light bulbs, HORRIBLE parking lot….:don’t look at the ceiling in the pool area. Sigh. Very very disappointed.

Parking was fine. Staff was helpful. The building itself was dirty. Where you checked in what dirty, the elevator was dirty with the walls peeling. Hallways to the rooms were dirty. The floor of our room was dirty and we found stuff from other guests there. Smelled really bad of mold/mildew. The walls were peeling in areas, especially the shower. Im ok with stuff being dated but the cleanliness of the inside wasnt good.

The hotel temperature warm. Carpeting was dirty, stained. The room was hot. The thermostat did not work well. It would shut off then room got hot or it would stick open and the room got freezing. A/C was noisy, hard to sleep. No sheets or pillows for the sleeper sofa. The room was not cleaned well. I do not plan on staying at Best Western again. I do not know what it had the word PLUS after its name. There was nothing extra to it. The pictures on the website must have been taken when it was new.

Check in went quick but the room they gave us was already occupied by a large group of people. Got our second room and for a non-smoking room it smelled like smoke pretty bad. We dealt with it. In the room the setup was nice, little tv area and then a separated sleeping area. The bed was comfortable, room was pretty clean. The couch and extra chair in the room were beyond worn out. We just sat up in bed instead of using the other furniture so no big deal. The A/C kept the room cool but randomly started making loud ticking noises and then other strange noises which would wake us up. Bath/Shower looked pretty rough but shower pressure and temp were good. Overall not a horrible place but will look elsewhere in the future. Between the smoke smell and the a/c it was not a very pleasant stay. We should have got another room but we had already switched once and were tired so we just dealt with it. The room had a weird, cat litterbox smell. It was super humid, to the point that the sheets felt wet. And we saw roaches and silverfish in the bathroom on multiple occasions.

Good - helpful and friendly staff with great breakfast options Bad - pool pictures online deceiving… it was filthy with obscenities written into the scum! Hot tub was stagnant and yellow filled with truckers drinking beer. Ugly - TOXIC MOLD!!! I tried switching rooms after it nearly knocked me out after walking into the 3rd floor room. They kindly switched me to a 2nd floor room that stunk just as bad. The stairwells were also reaking of mold. One bed was good and the other was horrible. Two holes you sunk into - but I saw recently they started tossing some mattresses outside. Breakfast and staff were great, but toxic mold makes it a steer clear. I honestly can’t figure out why the reviews were so good…

Hotel was under construction and first impression was that it was dirty and dusty. The sofa in the room had cigarette burns and stains. Room was relatively clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not available but staff was friendly and $10 McDonald (located next to hote) gift card was provided for each guest. I would not stay here again until construction is complete.

Although the property is updated, there were definite signs of dated furniture and fixtures. For a double bed, there is only a single TV, so if you have kids (like we do), it may be beneficial to book the king bed with pull out sofa. Another thing is that the TV volume is limited, so it wouldn't cause neighbors to complain. We had a neighbor next to our room, but we hardly heard them - which is a good thing - it indicates that the walls are not paper thin. Overall it is acceptable for the cost.

Room way too DARK - needs brighter light bulbs. Bathroom sink is a JOKE, too small and shallow. TV has a max set volume that can not be heard over the loud AC unit.

This hotel was very convenient and right off the highway. Great prices too! It made it very easy to get to shopping places, restaurants, golf, etc. from there. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good and had a nice selection of items to choose from. The rooms aren’t the nicest. We had a king suite and it was a great size but the carpets were old, some stains and our lamp shade was broken just hanging there. Couch and chair were not comfortable and very worn. Bathrooms were clean but the sink area is super small for more than one person. The bed was not comfortable mattress seemed sunken in and very old. It wasn’t awful by any means but it could have been nicer. The main thing was it was clean, convenient location, nice staff, good free breakfast and nice food choices close by to get meals. I will also note the guest next door had a dog and I did not Know they allowed animals which would of been fine we like dogs but this dog barked every time The door opened or closed when his owners were gone. It wasn’t bad enough to move rooms but next time I will ask before I get a room by someone who has a pet.

The lady at the front desk pretty much had no personality. Barely spoke to us and didn't describe any of the amenities of the hotel or any part of the breakfast that came with the hotel. Didn't even tell us when check out time was.

When checking in, there was an error on Expedia’s end, stating we had not paid. I presented the desk clerk with my online bank transactions showing the amount was taken from my account. Rather than making us wait, he quickly gave us our keys and told us that he would contact Expedia but to enjoy our stay. I’m the past, we have had to wait while staff sorted it out or told to contact Expedia ourselves. Very considerate of him as we have two rambunctious children and were tired out. Will book again.

We have stayed at this same hotel for years either me or my parents, at least 3-4 times a year. Well we are done moving on. First did not see anywhere posted online that they are doing lots of reconstruction.. Would of probably stayed here anyways but a heads up would of been nice to make own plans for breakfast. But that wasnt the kicker the staff has gone way down hill. Not friendly, rude, not helpful and a very unwilling to help in time of need. Would not put me through to my parents when I called which they informed me we will not do that and said call them direct. Seriously! Not every single person has cell phones these days. So I had to drive 2 hours to the hotel because I wasn't home to make sure things were right and everything ok. And hopefully this review is not pulled so that everyone can see that this place is not what it used to be which was an 8 star plus hotel but only give it at best for the room alone maybe 4 star. Hospitality at this hotel has went from a 9 to a 2.

The room was great. But cannot give it 5 stars due to the individuals that work there. Very bad English so getting checked in with an Online reservation that we already had was horrid. Asked for drain help as the bathroom sink drain was stuck after 2nd day. Assuming cleaners pushed it down but couldnt get back up. Was told by staff you fix. No. We did not break it. Son wanted to speak to me and called into Hotel to be connected via to our room. Individual was not nice saud you have phome number call them. No he did not have phone number to the room. Please connect. Went back and forth she did finally connect him. Staff was rude and it was evident in helping others at front desk. Please put someone on staff that knows and understands the English language. When I have to repeat several times what I am trying to get them to understand

First off, it took 15-20 before a front desk clerk finally came to the desk. Then she said that there was an issue with my reservation because it came up with "unpredictable error" without going into detail on what it was. After an addtional 20 minutes, the issue was resolved but not sure why the delay. Afterwards, another customer asked for another towel for the morning and it seemed like an ordeal for them. I finally went to the room, and it was clean, but the display on the thermostat was broke (couldn't see the temperature)--not a big deal; the A/C still worked and I just dialed in as low as it could go and worked okay. The pillows were not the best but all I needed was a place to sleep and a shower. The towels were okay (they were a little worn). The breakfast was average (on par with what you'd expect from a competitor). Overall, not impressed, but not horrible.

The hotel was fine, under construction, but no loud noise associated with it. Breakfast was decent with hot food options. Our only problem was a technical issue where somehow our hotels.com reservation didn't get sent properly to the hotel. When we arrived it took a little bit to get it sorted out.

The room itself was fine. Comfortable beds and clean. The lady at the front desk when we checked in was not friendly at all. The only thing she said was the absolute necessities. No hello, how are you etc. the pool needs work, peeling paint on floors, wore out chairs, pool water was so cold my 5 year old grandson wouldn’t even swim. Hot tub was warm but no jets so it was more of a bath tub. Breakfast was good with decent selection.

The overall room stay way fine. However the staff was terrible, very rude and acted like it was a nuisance that we were there. It wasn’t just one person we came in contact with multiple staff and they were all like this. We even experienced them being rude with other customers.

Check in was not the friendliest, but it was a smooth process. The hotel is nice and clean in general, with convenient parking. It is located near several restaurants and highway access, so it was perfect for a 3-day business trip. Continental breakfast had a good variety and very friendly staff. My room was spacious and had all the amenities listed working properly. It was overall a very pleasant stay.

I had higher expectations of what Olathe was like. Never been here before. Looked for a decent restaurant but found neighborhoods so bad that I felt unsafe parking anywhere. Drove to Overland Park instead where things looked much better.

We were in town for a wedding and this was a great location, 15 minutes from the Bowery (wedding venue), 20 minutes to a winery, etc. Great value for the price!

I always stay here when I visit my grandkids in Olathe. There’s a 24/7 McDonald’s right next door & nice restaurants are within close driving distance. We like the pooI & I especially like that its dog friendly, my pug goes everywhere with me, it’s quiet & feels SAFE with easy cards to use on workable, locked exits. Great parking available too.

This hotel was very convenient and right off the highway. Great prices too! It made it very easy to get to shopping places, restaurants, golf, etc. from there. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good and had a nice selection of items to choose from. The rooms aren’t the nicest. We had a king suite and it was a great size but the carpets were old, some stains and our lamp shade was broken just hanging there. Couch and chair were not comfortable and very worn. Bathrooms were clean but the sink area is super small for more than one person. The bed was not comfortable mattress seemed sunken in and very old. It wasn’t awful by any means but it could have been nicer. The main thing was it was clean, convenient location, nice staff, good free breakfast and nice food choices close by to get meals. I will also note the guest next door had a dog and I did not Know they allowed animals which would of been fine we like dogs but this dog barked every time The door opened or closed when his owners were gone. It wasn’t bad enough to move rooms but next time I will ask before I get a room by someone who has a pet.

I've traveled a lot in the last 34 years and the continental breakfast we had during our stay was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. The front desk staff were kind and let the pool stay open late since we had a late arrival and our son wanted to swim. Best experience in a long time!

The breakfast was AMAZING. So many options! We immensely enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Only deducted points because it’s under construction right now and the door to our room was open when we arrived and was difficult to shut. Otherwise, kind and helpful staff and overall extremely pleased with our stay!

Hotel was under construction and first impression was that it was dirty and dusty. The sofa in the room had cigarette burns and stains. Room was relatively clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not available but staff was friendly and $10 McDonald (located next to hote) gift card was provided for each guest. I would not stay here again until construction is complete.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The hotel was clean & quiet. The check-in went well. We booked online. The staff was very attentive & friendly. We thought the bathroom sink stopper was broken (it wasn’t)and made a comment about it. A staff member quickly showed us how it worked. The hotel is close to I 35 but not too close to hear traffic. We appreciated the outlets by the bed to have an outlet & USB Ports. The shower was nice with an adjustable shower head, plenty of hot water for long showers. The breakfast had most of the regular options & was good & very clean. There were clean syrup bottles on the tables & 2 waffle makers. Little details like individual shredded cheese & salsa available, toppings for yogurt and oatmeal. A coffee machine that had tons of options depending on how you like your morning coffee. We did use the pool & hot tub which was clean & stocked well with towels. They do allow pets it didn’t smell like pets or too much air freshener. The carpet/floor was clean and free from stains or sticky in our room. I also saw an employee with a carpet cleaner so that made sense. Our bed was soft but very comfortable. I liked that there were actually king sized pillows & not just a bunch of small bed pillows. My husband used the fitness room. He used the free weights, treadmill, & weight machine. We would definitely stay there again.
