Great location for what we needed, hotel car park was not accessible anlthough there was anlrernate parking free nearby. Our outdoor jacuzzi could have been hotter and cleaner. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice property, but many of the on-site conveniences, luxuries and restaurants were not available. Regardless, the room was very nice. Off season prices probably need a revisit. The beach was littered, likely from a recent storm. (not the hotels fault). Big ugly barricade around the pool, probably some sort of mandate out of their control. Breakfast was good. Room cleanliness, also good. Again, I think value for the price was compromised by so many things shuttered, taped off (yes, actual tape), and closed. We were offered a discount prior to arrival making us aware that some on-site facilities would be closed. That facilities were still closed, but the 30% discount was not honored.

The hotel is nice, it has it own private beach, but the paying to lay on the hotel sun beds on the beach is a rip off, we chose this hotel as it was on the beach, didn’t expect to be paying 15€ EACH to go on the beach, also the beach has a strong smell of seaweed…

Proberbly once a great hotel but now a bit worn down/renovation ongoing. The dbl room we got was so tiny that we had no space to put our suitcases, but on the bed or on the floor, blocking the hallway. In the description it says "you can relax in a sunbed on the beach" but not that it was a 15 euro charge for that. The Upside: The bed was great and the staff fantastic. The breakfast buffet offers what you could expect.

we had a nice, relaxing 5-day stay and enjoyed our terrace with hottub, which is a Junior Suite on the roof. That part was great. However, there is limited dining and no parking, but we were pre-warned about that. The hotel and room need updating there were many things worn out or not working - the taps had lost their chrome coating, the oven hotplates had a extractor fan and light which didn't work, and a lot of the wood trims were worn and needing repair and repainting. Around the hotel was run down, the beach bar was shut there was only one dining option, nothing more outside the hotel except a 15 - 20 min walk to Puerto Banus. For us it was fine as we had a car, but the hotel is not well located for easily dining out. Would we go back? Maybe, if the room was offered at a good rate.

We knew the restaurants at the hotel were closed, what we didn’t expect was the areas to have been abandoned. It was eeery. The hotel also looked like it wasn’t being maintained whilst the ownership dispute was ongoing. The hotel was tired looking. The hotel staff did a great job keeping the hotel running, but it was a significant downgrade from past years we’ve stayed. Such a shame, with an impact on our trip.

Très bel hôtel ! Vieillissant mais toujours bien . Emplacement de rêve . Les chambres centrales ont une vue magnifique sur la piscine et sur la mer. Quelques améliorations à apporter . - la porte vitrée séparant le WC de la salle de bains, grince terriblement. - le système de distribution du savon, shampoing, crèmes…est bien mais pas toujours pratique, puisque fixè aux murs.Pour que ce soit bien, il faudrait en rajouter 2 : distributeurs au niveau bas de la baignoire (accessible quand on y est allongé ) Et egalement au niveau du bidet. L’hôtel est propre, si on veut bien accepter beaucoup de fourmis . La piscine et la restauration y est très bonne

On the hole we had a fabulous stay at Xmas at the Guadalpin. The location just off the beach is perfect and a 20 min walk into Puerto Banus. The hotel is very clean and all the waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent with good selection and eggs cooked to your liking. Like a few hotels in the region the decor is tired and does need some TLC and to be modernised. Would like to see management at breakfast help their waiters a bit more in times of busy periods rather than thinking their to important to help out and maybe a salt and pepper pot on all tables so guest don’t have to go searching for the elusive one set. If i was asked to stay here again I would for the right price.

Beautiful property! The service from everyone was outstanding and the views from our balcony were incredible. The rooms were very clean, but appeared a little tired. They could use an update. Otherwise I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to going back in the future.

Good value for money! Fantastic location, friendly staff, very good breakfast. The size of the room is good and the terrasser too, loved the sea view. Only thing is that the beds are not very comfortable, it’s very firm, could do with a topper mattress. Apart from that everything was brilliant!

Stort sett bra, men de bygger om så frokosten er flyttet opp ved reseption. Sengen er fryktelig hard. Begynner å bli litt slitt. Alt fellesareal nede var stengt.

The hotel is in a great location between Puerto Banus and San Pedro right at the beach. We were staying jn a suite which although clean with great space was a bit tired in places abd definitely needed a rewire, sockets not working or coming out wall. The bed was really hard and very uncomfortable fir me personally. The staff were very attentive and the food was ok.

We were staying jn a suite which although clean with great space was a bit tired in places abd definitely needed a rewire, sockets not working or coming out wall. The bed was really hard and very uncomfortable fir me personally. The staff were very attentive and the food was ok.

our room was located in the 3rd floor, opposite to us (same level) a builder is cutting tills every day (started on second day of our stay until Friday when we left), starting from 9 until mid-afternoon. It was very noisy. Also, room condition is very tired which needs maintenance.

we had a nice, relaxing 5-day stay and enjoyed our terrace with hottub, which is a Junior Suite on the roof. That part was great. However, there is limited dining and no parking, but we were pre-warned about that. The hotel and room need updating there were many things worn out or not working - the taps had lost their chrome coating, the oven hotplates had a extractor fan and light which didn't work, and a lot of the wood trims were worn and needing repair and repainting. Around the hotel was run down, the beach bar was shut there was only one dining option, nothing more outside the hotel except a 15 - 20 min walk to Puerto Banus. For us it was fine as we had a car, but the hotel is not well located for easily dining out. Would we go back? Maybe, if the room was offered at a good rate.

Short stay at the hotel in January. Hotel staff were absolutely fantastic. I was poorly during trip and the staff helped my husband with arrangements to be seen at the hospital and arranged a driver who was equally great. Daily the team checked in on how I was and couldn’t do enough for us. My husband had many meals either on the breakfast terrace or in the cocktail bar without me and said each was great. The only issue is the rooms would benefit from a bit of love and care and the sound proofing needs a bit of attention but we would definitely visit again

On the hole we had a fabulous stay at Xmas at the Guadalpin. The location just off the beach is perfect and a 20 min walk into Puerto Banus. The hotel is very clean and all the waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent with good selection and eggs cooked to your liking. Like a few hotels in the region the decor is tired and does need some TLC and to be modernised. Would like to see management at breakfast help their waiters a bit more in times of busy periods rather than thinking their to important to help out and maybe a salt and pepper pot on all tables so guest don’t have to go searching for the elusive one set. If i was asked to stay here again I would for the right price.

Always enjoy staying at Gran Hotel Guadalpin as the location is excellent and the hotel staff are friendly,the issues the hotel currently has regarding the restaurants on the property made this visit not as enjoyable as previous visits and the building could now be due an upgrade as it’s looking tired in certain areas but that aside I would always recommend this hotel for a visit.

Servicen var utmerket! Veldig hyggelig personale. Rommet kunne hatt flere søplebøtter, knagg til badekåper og gjerne et stativ man kan tørke badetøy på. Frokosten var veldig bra! Flotte råvarer og mye å velge mellom.

Good value for money! Fantastic location, friendly staff, very good breakfast. The size of the room is good and the terrasser too, loved the sea view. Only thing is that the beds are not very comfortable, it’s very firm, could do with a topper mattress. Apart from that everything was brilliant!

Har aldrig varit med om så mycket regn i en hel vecka. Hotellet uppfyllde alla våra förväntningar, enkel incheckning och ett stort och bra rum. Då regnet öste ner flera kvällar så nyttjade vi två av restaurangerna på hotellet, vilket var jättebra. Perfekt läge för den som älskar att promenera utefter havet, hotellet har även en kort promenadavstånd in till Puerto Banus.

Generally a good hotel, the closure of the restaurants does have a negative impact as part of the pool area ins used for seating, reducing space for sun beds. A few other negatives to mention, beach beds are €15 a day, which isn’t mentioned on the website, also a beer at the pool bar is €8!

Nice property, but many of the on-site conveniences, luxuries and restaurants were not available. Regardless, the room was very nice. Off season prices probably need a revisit. The beach was littered, likely from a recent storm. (not the hotels fault). Big ugly barricade around the pool, probably some sort of mandate out of their control. Breakfast was good. Room cleanliness, also good. Again, I think value for the price was compromised by so many things shuttered, taped off (yes, actual tape), and closed. We were offered a discount prior to arrival making us aware that some on-site facilities would be closed. That facilities were still closed, but the 30% discount was not honored.

Großartiges Frühstück (drinnen oder direkt am Pool) und auch für Vegetarier/Veganer ist die Auswahl groß! We stayed at Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banús as two couples and really enjoyed our stay. The location and views are excellent, the pools are clean and well maintained, and everything throughout the hotel is exceptionally clean. The best part is the staff. Everyone we encountered, from reception to maintenance, was friendly, helpful and attentive. You really can’t ask for more. Breakfast is excellent, with special kudos to the omelet chef — she is very good, genuinely nice and funny, and somehow makes ordering an omelet part of the morning entertainment. The hotel itself is well maintained but tired. I would call the style 1980s chic. It needs an update, particularly the balcony doors. The A/C, however, works very well. And then there are the light switches. Turning the lights on or off is a quest. You try one switch, then another, reconsider your strategy, and eventually the room does what you wanted. Outlets could also be better located. The elevators misbehaved a few times, but nothing serious. Parts of the lower level on the way to the beach are closed because of a legal dispute. It looks a little sad, but you hardly see it unless going to the beach, and it didn’t detract from our stay. Overall, the location, views, cleanliness, pools, excellent breakfast and especially the wonderful staff easily outweighed the hotel’s age. We all enjoyed our stay. 9/10.
