Bar is very nice, but bathroom is far away. Gym is very nice with lots of new equipment. Room quality varies between floors. Floor 4 the rooms are very nice.

The Good: Nice hotel room and staff service is good. They have a nice gym room and a good dining area. Parking is super easy and it is located to where you can get to a highway easily. Need to Improve: coffee is weak, the room door wouldn’t shut properly (quite odd) and they have a lot of events at the the hotel where loud music plays. Can get a bit loud in the room at times, especially if you are near the event space itself. Ask at desk where the room is located or sleep with ear plugs.

The restaurant at the property was great along with the staff and service that they provided. It was quiet at night other than when the events were going on. That also limited parking for guest that were staying at the hotel. When I asked about parking, I was asked how long I would be staying. When I asked if I could park in the parking lot beside the building, I was told that that was rented out to Amazon for training drivers. I was also told that they would ask their manager on duty if I could park there, and then was told that I was not staying long enough without management even being asked. The front desk staff could take a few tips from the restaurant personnel. Other than that it is a fairly decent hotel.

Not family friendly. Traveled with my 4 month old. Checked in during dinner time. There was no parking. Cars were parked illegally all over the Hilton parking lot. Front desk told me to park at the hotel next door if there was no parking in the Hilton parking lots, or use valet. I tried to valet and was told it was reserved for restaurant guests, not hotel guests, and they refused to valet my car. I had to park at the hotel next door and walk to the Hilton with my infant and belongings. It was an absolute nightmare. Oh and there are weddings going on so I can hear the muffed music as well.

The location of the hotel was good for us. The location or the room was terrible: right above the ballroom was terrible. Right above the ballroom where an event went on until almost midnight. The condition of the room was poor: paint spattered on the tile floor, a dirty, stained bathtub that drained poorly, a toilet that flushed poorly, a coffee maker that overflowed. I expected better.

I was there for 2 nights, I used to live in Staten Island and everyone said it was amazing. It was not. It was dirty. My bathroom door had so much gross stuff on it and the floor was not mopped. The carpet was so gross, it looked like it had never been shampooed and it even felt dirty. There was a disgusting chemical smell in the room, possibly from the cleaning solution? It wouldn't go away and my room had no windows that opened. It was also noisy, incredibly so. I was put it in a room that could adjoin to another room and that one had a baby in it that I could literally hear crying all night. Also, people shout up and down the hallways. The walls must be made of paper. I did ask for another room and was told they were full. The bed was clean but the sheets were stained. Nothing was clean or quiet about this room. As well, the waiter in the restaurant couldn't figure out how to use my bank card as a credit card and loudly shouted to me (across a few tables) "What is your pin number?" Seriously? My pin number? Nope. This is not a convenient hotel to stay at unless you drive (they used to have a shuttle to the ferry and did away with it) and this and the Hampton Inn in the same parking lot are your only Staten Island options. It's a shame, it's so rundown and dirty when it used to be nice.

I made two separate bookings for consecutive nights, for seperate rooms. and each room had severe hygiene and cleanliness issues. Based on my experience across both rooms, this seems to reflect the hotel's standard rather than an isolated problem. Here are the issues I personally experienced and documented: Towels provided had visible stains Sheets contained hairs stuck in them Bathroom walls and ceiling had hairs stuck to them Surfaces had crumbs and hair Coffee machine was sticky and appeared unclean Toilet seat was not properly cleaned No ventilation in the bathroom The elevator was dirty, had a sticky floor, and smelled foul These conditions were unsanitary and unacceptable for a hotel of any standard, especially under the Hilton brand. I attempted to resolve this directly with the hotel, but they have not responded in any way.

Beautiful grounds and gardens. There was a party with loud music in the ballroom. The pounding base from music prevented us from sleep. Complained to desk but they didn’t intervene. Huge spider one morning in our room and we saw ants in the lobby. Wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely FILTHY. Avoid this place like the plague. Ants in the coffee pot that still contained contents. Shower and bathroom were disgusting. Told the front desk and they didn’t seem to care. Not even an apology.

I was actually disappointed with the one night I stayed here. I was given a room with a door that was difficult to close, and there are other signs of wear and tear within the room. Moreover, the room was one floor directly below a top floor be ballroom where there was a wedding reception that lasted until midnight and the noise was so loud I was unable to sleep. So, it was not the best experience for me

WIFI did not work to the 4th floor. Some staff very rude and unhelpful. Could not get room service work on schedule. Lots of weddings and parties on weekends.

I contacted front desk to notify them that I am arriving late and might be after mid-night. She told me that I need to contact the front office again to check with the after mid-night staff to see the room availabilities. Also, on my check out day, I called the front desk early morning to ask them for late check out because I am part of wedding group that were allowed to get checked out at 1 pm. The staff told me no and if I stayed till 1 pm I will be charged extra fee. Additionally, I asked for coffee at the room and received only 2 coffee cups. I would suggest the staff need to be more professional with the customers and provided better customer service.

Everything was excellent and imma bit picky. Newly renovated rooms, all employees were so very friendly and helpful. We were there for a family wedding and the venue was lovely! Beautiful setting for such an occasion. Highly recommend!

When I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn I lost my phone and missed my flight from Newark. The front desk staff were amazing and helped me get a cab along with booking a flight. They were so calm, empathetic and helpful to my situation and helped me get home safely which I couldn't have done without them.

Check-in was 4pm. At 6pm, when we arrived, no room was available to us. The team member helping us was polite, but inexperienced. She has no other answer but to tell us to wait. She did call for assistance. No upgrades, no different accommodations. Just wait. We asked for a couple of extra pillows. When we returned later that evening, no extra pillows. The desk was sticky, as it had not been properly cleaned by the staff. We had a long day of travel and family events. Being stressed by our accommodations was hard for us to tolerate.

Check-in was 4pm. At 6pm, when we arrived, no room was available to us. The team member helping us was polite, but inexperienced. She has no other answer but to tell us to wait. I would have given 5 stars for everything except that our flight was delayed so we got there very late and couldn’t get into the hotel to check in. We spent 20 minutes trying to call the front desk with no answer. We had to walk across to the hotel across the parking lot and luckily the security person over there had the cell number of the manager and was able to tell him to open the door for us. If that man had not been there we would have been stuck outside with no place to go. The hotel next door had no rooms available

Staff seemed very distracted. Housekeeping never came during our stay despite our request for cleaning. Room was spacious but just not very clean. Restaurant staff on site are very nice and the food is good. Location is convenient to the Newark airport but traffic makes it a long drive to the ferry station etc. No other eating options near by.

We arrived around 8:30 at night. Our check in was quick and the staff was friendly. We were able to get to our room right away and unwind from our long travels. The room was clean, a little outdated, but very comfortable. The rugs in the hallway were stained, so we were nervous that the room would not be as clean as it was. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was about 1/2 hour from the city but an easy drive. The location was great. We enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is in the industrial Park. There is nothing around it. The food was overprepared and not that great. I did not get the rule that I have requested. And on top of it all, when I checked out, the front desk did not asked whether I had a good stay

To properly assess this location, it is necessary to compare it to local hotels. This is exactly what makes the difference. Most hotels are run down, tired and in need of overhaul, this location is clean, neat, somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but from moment you walk in and all the way to the room, there is no fear of ‘what have I done? where in the hell I am staying overnight?’. It is my new stay at location, even though I have to pay toll to get over bridge to the boroughs.

To properly assess this location, it is necessary to compare it to local hotels. This is exactly what makes the difference. This hotel was very nice. Excellent location. Easy on and off highway , amazing choice for food. Excellent service, all hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Very upbeat attitude from everyone. In hotel restaurant had fantastic dinner. Our Room was huge and clean. The only negative I can mention is the mattress is overdue for a replacement. They are doing remodeling so maybe that is on tap for replacement. All in all 4 1/2 stars on 5 star scale

Lovely option for a stay on Staten Island. Quiet, clean, spacious rooms! Friendly service/front desk! If you’re coming in from out of town you need a car to get here. Lots of parking, although a good amount of cars parked in the lot are purposely taking up two spaces.

No water for te room! Room smelled weird. No room service only a restaurante that you would have to go down to order food. Asked for silverware at front desk and they never brought it! Not great. Customer service is none but I guess the spot is basic due to location it’s good for private parties and stuff but not great for traveler

I wanted a quiet, solitary weekend all to myself to work on a writing project. The room was pleasant, a king size bed, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. It was quiet, clean, desk top space, an extra chair to cozy into for catching up with tv news and searching for a movie to watch at night. The buffet breakfast is amazing! Opulent, an excellent omelet station, pancakes, waffles, bagels and assorted bread, pastry, oj and choice coffee. An unexpected interval was a spectacular 15-minute fireworks display on Sunday night. It was a surprise wedding gift from the parents of a couple celebrating their wedding at the venue. Guests were given notice, to avoid concerns about noise. So I went outside to watch, along with some other guests. Based on what I wanted and needed for my little getaway, it was exactly right.

Hotel staff were all friendly. Easy check in, check out. Parking lot, not parking garage which worked well for me as my truck will not fit in most parking garages. Parking lot was just steps from front door/lobby. Lorenzo's restaurant/bar , left of lobby was great for before/after dinner drinks. We also had their breakfast buffet the following morning, chef omelet station was great.

False advertising. There is no rooftop bar that is accessible to hotel guests yet it is their first picture on hotels.com (it’s only for weddings and special functions). The pool is gone. There is nothing to do around the area of the hotel. The room was not well-maintained, bathtub was moldy and the hotel needs to be painted all over including hallways and rooms. The food at the restaurant wasn’t good. I would not stay here again.
