We enjoyed our stay at this cozy inn. Easy parking. We walked to all the places - the mansions, restaurants and shops. It was a nice and quiet, comfortable stay. The breakfast pastries, coffee and tea in the morning were nice. We will definitely be back.

The location of this hotel was AMAZING! So close to everything. Ample parking and beautiful home. The room was very clean and adjoining bathroom was spotless and included toiletries which I LOVE. They even provided robes! Nice touch. The bed was way firmer than I would have liked but that’s just personal preference. The hotel also had a complimentary candy bar that was a great little snack when arriving back. such a cute addition. We were here in winter so we didn’t get to use the outdoor space but it was super cute and had tons of seating. I do wish they served breakfast. They have some pastries but having to leave to get breakfast was a bummer. Overall I would recommend- friendly staff- very informative on surrounding areas and events taking place.

We spent two nice at this lovely Inn and enjoyed walking to many attractions. Parking was ample and we would have enjoyed the large front porch had we stayed longer. Very quiet, continental breakfast, hospitable staff. Would love to stay here again!

A very comfortable sleep. It was an easy walk to the Cliff Walk and wharf area. The host was helpful with suggestions and provided a light fresh breakfast for a cost. Coffee and a cute candy bar snack available for free every day. They had a parking area behind the house so we didn’t have to park on the street

Great location. Walking distance to wharfs , shopping, and restaurants but enough removed from busy tourist area. Comfortable room and quiet with off street private parking which is a plus as parking was difficult and few areas where is it free. Only issue was the bed was a bit too soft for my husbands preference but I had no problem. Slept very well

Beautiful cozy hotel perfect for a long weekend. Easy 10-20 walk to all the attractions and sights in town, close to coffee shops and restaurants. Great staff, easy check in/out, super clean and easy parking in the back of the property. Highly recommend!

And while all were very friendly, there wasn't that awkward "and-now-all-these-strangers-will-be-part-of-our-romantic-anniversary-getaway" vibe. Comfy bed, clean room, accessible staff, beautiful property... an all-around win!

Had a great stay here over Fourth of July weekend. The room was very comfortable and clean. The inn has great outdoor space, plenty of parking, and a short walk to many great restaurants. I'd stay here again on a return trip to Newport

Our room was clean, comfy and outstanding. An old inn charm with updated amenities. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We are definitely coming back. Everything is within walking distance whether it was the Cliff Walk, the Tennis HOF or the wharfs of Thames St. A experience. So many great restauranrs and shopping options and...oh yeah...the history of Newport!!!

Our first time in a Bed n Breakfast and we found it’s not really our thing. Breakfast was a small selection of 2 pastries, a fruit and coffee. I know we booked the standard room but it was really small and it had no TV. It was on the third floor, which was tough for two 70 year olds. It’s a historic house with character but I guess we expected more.

The B&B owners were very friendly and helpful. They recommended places to see and dine, many in walking distance. The B&B was beautifully decorated, had the amenities we needed. I would stay here again if back in Newport.

We stayed in the room that was off the parking lot. The room was cozy and best of all we did not have to go upstairs. The young man that greated us when we checked in was very helpful. The house is charming.

Great location. Walking distance to wharfs , shopping, and restaurants but enough removed from busy tourist area. Comfortable room and quiet with off street private parking which is a plus as parking was difficult and few areas where is it free. Only issue was the bed was a bit too soft for my husbands preference but I had no problem. Slept very well

Beautiful cozy hotel perfect for a long weekend. Easy 10-20 walk to all the attractions and sights in town, close to coffee shops and restaurants. Great staff, easy check in/out, super clean and easy parking in the back of the property. Highly recommend!

We were in town for just one night. Perfect spot to stay ! Easy walk to Tennis Hall of fame, and a short drive into the heart of Newport.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy inn. Easy parking. We walked to all the places - the mansions, restaurants and shops. It was a nice and quiet, comfortable stay. The breakfast pastries, coffee and tea in the morning were nice. We will definitely be back.

Easy check in method for late arrival. Fun candy bar. Easy to walk to Brick Alley area for a meal. Comfy bed. Great shower.

The continental breakfast should have offered more. There were about ten mini croissants out and there where many people staying there. It was awkward to eat since you didn't want to take two and leave the others without any. The bowl of fruit could have had more. Usually a bed and breakfast offers more options even when it is a continental breakfast.

Location is great, very walkable neighborhood close to parks and restaurants. I didn't read the fine print & thought breakfast was included, but the continental breakfast is charged per item. I've never stayed in an inn that charged like this.

The location of this hotel was AMAZING! So close to everything. Ample parking and beautiful home. The room was very clean and adjoining bathroom was spotless and included toiletries which I LOVE. They even provided robes! Nice touch. The bed was way firmer than I would have liked but that’s just personal preference. The hotel also had a complimentary candy bar that was a great little snack when arriving back. such a cute addition. We were here in winter so we didn’t get to use the outdoor space but it was super cute and had tons of seating. I do wish they served breakfast. They have some pastries but having to leave to get breakfast was a bummer. Overall I would recommend- friendly staff- very informative on surrounding areas and events taking place.

We spent two nice at this lovely Inn and enjoyed walking to many attractions. Parking was ample and we would have enjoyed the large front porch had we stayed longer. Very quiet, continental breakfast, hospitable staff. Would love to stay here again!

A very comfortable sleep. It was an easy walk to the Cliff Walk and wharf area. The host was helpful with suggestions and provided a light fresh breakfast for a cost. Coffee and a cute candy bar snack available for free every day. They had a parking area behind the house so we didn’t have to park on the street

A truly lovely stay. Everyone who works there is so great and kind. There’s coffee every morning and peaceful indoor and outdoor seating areas. Bikes, snacks, books, wifi, etc. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was great. No notes. Would definitely recommend and stay here again :)

The Slocum Inn is a quaint guest house located just outside of the town centre, affording it convenience but yet tranquility. The house is fabulous, still very much a family home from home. The mini buffet breakfast is divine: fresh, warmed croissants and Danish pastries are among the best I've had. I found the young hotel worker helpful and chatty, The outside area is quiet of traffic noise, with plenty birdsong filling the air. The plants and trees in the garden give a country feel, with shaded and sunny areas. One word of warning, we were there in June, when bats are at their most active, so keep your window closed at night!! 😂

The place was very nice. Room and other areas very nice and clean. Homemade cookies were an added treat as well as fresh fruit at night. Breakfast was delicious.
