A real mixed bag. On the positive side, the room was quite clean and the staff was helpful. Comfort of the bed was excellent. Location was perfect for us. Decedent value for money. The negatives? Toilet paper was simply missing, and appeared to have been gone for some time. Lights outside are extremely bright at night, and the curtains simply don’t do the job. The hot water in our room was not hot, but rather barely warm enough to make a shower tolerable. The entire hotel is definitely showing its age. Breakfast is okay, but come on guys, it’s not difficult to scramble eggs. These were cooked to death. And finally, the pool is supposedly under construction, although there’s no sign of activity. This, on the hottest days of the year.

Lobby, halls and room smelled musty. Breakfast was terrible. Skipped breakfast on 2nd morning and drove to a breakfast spot.

The property was undergoing a major remodel, and this was NOT noted on the online service. It should be. Our room was clean but WELL WORN not something La Quinta should present to it travelers AND CENRAINLY SOMETHING THAT THE PARENT COMPANY SHOULD BE APALLED AT. The online reservation was very average with various cells not accepting dates, beds, dates of booking, etc. Parking was well lighted but broken up due to construction trailers. Finally, in the state of Texas air conditioning gets a very shout work out- the room air conditioner worked but clearly on its last legs and coughed its way thru two nights that were cool. Staff was very friendly but seemed ill equipped to negotiate the time having a major remodel disrupt everything,
