The hotel was fine. The pillows being comforters folded in pillow cases was a bit odd and the restaurant staff wasn't great - but in general the bed was fine and the hotel was clean (albeit a maze). Parking cost 13 euros at a nearby garage..

Tolles Hotel in bester Lage mitten in der Altstadt. Dadurch mit dem PKW direkt nur über schmale Straßen in einer Sackgasse erreichbar. Das öffentliche Parkhaus ist aber nur 5 Fußminuten entfernt. Es empfiehlt sich besser gleich dort zu parken und zum Hotel zu laufen. Dafür kann man dann die gesamte Alt-/ Innenstadt sehr gut zu Fuß erkunden.

The location for this hotel could not be better. You are in the river. It is cute and quaint. Sadly we were there on the hottest day of the year and they do not have air conditioning. There was also not a fan. The rooms were a bit lacking. No coffee in the room nor a refrigerator. Also no phone to contact the desk. So if you need another towel you have to go to the desk. I booked a king size bed as a single but only got one pillow and one towel. I thought that was a bit odd.

Der Aufenthalt war wunderschön. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Altstadt. Die Bauwerke und die Geschichte dazu …. Sehr sehr interessant. Das Hotel hat keine eigenen Parkplätze. Zum Ein–/Auschecken darf man davor halten. Eine nahegelegene Tiefgarage ist aber nur 5 bis 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Zimmer war klein aber fein und sehr sauber. Das Badezimmer war gut ausgestattet. Frühstück gab es im benachbarten Restaurant / Hotel. Meiner Meinung nach aber überteuert. In der Nähe gibt es nette Café‘s die auch ein Frühstück zum halben Preis anbieten. Es obliegt aber jedem selbst was man machen will. Das Hotel selbst gehört ab sofort zu meinen Favoriten.

Beautiful location for this hotel and altstadt parking garage available quite closely. We do recommend this hotel. However due to extremely hot weather (36-38 degrees celsius) of our stay we really missed having a/c (even small fans or extra water would have been nice) or a fridge to bring relieve to the tropical night but this is obviously quite unusual.

Wonderful location, great room, and excellent, friendly staff. Restaurant Eckert attached also very good. Would stay here again anytime. Best place I've stayed in Germany in my 30 years of travel there. sad when I had to leave.

Location couldn't have been more idyllic confusing check in, very hands off/ automated hotel which is good for convenience but might lack staff occasionally. Confusing room clean that didn't change the dirty sheets. You leave no sign outside to get room cleaned.

Schönes Zimmer, die Betten waren gut, in der Dusche könnte mal wieder etwas gegen Schimmel gemacht werden. Das Frühstück haben wir separat an einem Tag dazugebucht.das war nicht schlecht, es gibt aber kein Büfett, in Summe ist es dann recht teuer. Die Alternative ist dann z.B. das Morgenmahl, Reservierung unbedingt notwendig.

Our stay at Hotel Nepomuk was delightful. It was quiet, very clean, wonderful served breakfasts in a lovely dining room, and a very friendly staff. Hotel is located in a very historical part of town and right on the river near the famous Alte Rathouse.

Situated in the middle of a river, and within walking distance of just about everything in Bamberg, the hotel is the perfect location. It's also clean and well-designed, and the staff are very attentive. Overall, we had a great stay.

The location is perfect. Rooms are clean and if you are lucky you get a nice view. The breakfast is good - maybe on the expensive side if you like eggs. I’ve stayed here twice. Once in summer once in winter. Rooms are very cold during the day but under the covers at night it is not.

Good location not far to walk into the old town for your Smoked Beer. We stayed over the weekend its very busy and our room overlooked the front where there is a Brau haus so was a bit noisy, not the hotels fault. Our room was the first along the corridor and the door was left to bang itself close as other guests arrived back. Yes would use again but ask for a room the other side of the building

Pros: beautiful location, right in the old town and on the water. You can walk everywhere. The room is good sized and has everything you need. Cons: There is a restaurant next door, with a terrace right next to the windows (if your room is on the street side) , so you might get some noise at night. Although when we were here, the terrace was not open, but there were people talking on the street at 11pm and you could hear everything even with the windows closed. Tip: if you drive, don't use Google for directions to the hotel to drop off your luggage (hotel has no parking, but parking garage is nearby). Google directed us to a super narrow street and could barely back out). Call the hotel when you get close.

Das Parken in der Tiefgarage ist bei Dunkelheit und Dauerregen schwer zu bewältigen, ebenso das Entladen vor dem Haus, zumal, wenn, wie an diesem Abend und Morgen Lieferwagen und andere Autos die Enge blockieren. Die Empfangsdame am Abend war sehr unfreundlich und gab kein Willkommensgefühl, wahrend die Dame am nächsten Vormittag liebenswürdig, hilfsbereit und eine gute Gesprächspartnerin war.

Wonderful location, great room, and excellent, friendly staff. Restaurant Eckert attached also very good. Would stay here again anytime. Best place I've stayed in Germany in my 30 years of travel there. sad when I had to leave.

Tolles Hotel in bester Lage mitten in der Altstadt. Dadurch mit dem PKW direkt nur über schmale Straßen in einer Sackgasse erreichbar. Das öffentliche Parkhaus ist aber nur 5 Fußminuten entfernt. Es empfiehlt sich besser gleich dort zu parken und zum Hotel zu laufen. Dafür kann man dann die gesamte Alt-/ Innenstadt sehr gut zu Fuß erkunden.

Pros: beautiful location, right in the old town and on the water. You can walk everywhere. The room is good sized and has everything you need. Cons: There is a restaurant next door, with a terrace right next to the windows (if your room is on the street side) , so you might get some noise at night. Although when we were here, the terrace was not open, but there were people talking on the street at 11pm and you could hear everything even with the windows closed. Tip: if you drive, don't use Google for directions to the hotel to drop off your luggage (hotel has no parking, but parking garage is nearby). Google directed us to a super narrow street and could barely back out). Call the hotel when you get close.

Jättefint hotell mitt i gamla stan. Nära till allt. Man fick gå en liten bit från parkeringsgaraget som kostade 12 euro för en natt. Men miljön och omgivningen var mysig.

Outstanding location in the pedestrian friendly old town center with many shops and restaurants closeby. Hotel is on the river and has excellent views including from our room. Histroical front facade. Nicely renovated and clean. Coffee shop had good coffee and excellent local deserts like Lebkuchen (gingerbread), Kurbis-Walnuss (pumpkin-walnut-cream cheese-cake), and Preiselbeer-Baiser (berry filled pie shaped cake with a merrangue topping). We parked in the big underground municipal lot under the garden-park in front of the turist office - a 5 minute walk. The helpful coffee shop waitress suggested a small local pub nearby (name: Kachelofen) on the way to the castle, cozy with loads of character and delightful local and traditional German dishes. Highly recommend.

Situated in the middle of a river, and within walking distance of just about everything in Bamberg, the hotel is the perfect location. It's also clean and well-designed, and the staff are very attentive. Overall, we had a great stay.

It was a wonderful experience! Great location and views in Old down town on the river. Just open your windows and you can hear the river. Close to local restaurants and pubs. The breakfasts were top notch. We will go back!

Wonderful updated clean hotel. Breakfast was just okay, compared to other breakfast spreads in the area. Other than that, it was excellent.

Schönes Zimmer, die Betten waren gut, in der Dusche könnte mal wieder etwas gegen Schimmel gemacht werden. Das Frühstück haben wir separat an einem Tag dazugebucht.das war nicht schlecht, es gibt aber kein Büfett, in Summe ist es dann recht teuer. Die Alternative ist dann z.B. das Morgenmahl, Reservierung unbedingt notwendig.

Fint och mysigt hotell mitt i gamla stadskärnan precis intill ån som rinner genom stan. Bra läge samt nytt och fräscht hotell. Frukost ingick dock inte samt var rätt dyrt att beställa via en meny.

Die Lage perfekt. Das Zimmer komfortabel, mit Blick auf die Regnitz. Das Frühstück à la carte eine Katastrophe, ungemütlich. Jede Kleinigkeit musste beim überlasteten Oersonal bestellt werden.

The location is perfect. Rooms are clean and if you are lucky you get a nice view. The breakfast is good - maybe on the expensive side if you like eggs. I’ve stayed here twice. Once in summer once in winter. Rooms are very cold during the day but under the covers at night it is not.

Excellent location in Bambergs altstadt. Historic building, but completely modern inside. Staff is friendly and even arranged a taxi for our ride back to the train station. To top it all off, the room rate was reasonable. Highly recommended!!!

Was somewhat disappointed from our stay at this hotel. The hotel itself was nice but it was the people at the restaurant that let it down. Let me give the positives, check in was ok, Henrick who checked us in warm and helpful as was Andreas at the bar, as for the rest of the crew even though they spoke good English would not go out of there way to help. We are a couple celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary from Australia and stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. Went to have dinner the first night and asked if they had an English menu and were told to scan the code on the menu, since we could not log in nobody helped they just walked away and showed no interest to help an elderly couple so we walked out and went to another restaurant and were provided with an English menu. Went back the second night to try again to have a meal at the restaurant put our order in with some help from a couple sitting next to us. We got our entree and after 1 hour asked when our main meal was coming only to be told the waiter had forgotten to put it through. For such an establishment we find that poor service. Maybe some training on customer service would not go astray. Overall could not fault the hotel and the location of it but could not say the same about some of the staff. Does not cost anything to be friendly and have a smile even if it is your job.

Hotellet ligger fint til å Bamberg, parkering i garasje ca 5 minutters gange fra hotellet. Ingen aircondition og det ble veldig varmt når det er 36grader ute. Baren var åpen den ene kvelden, men siste kvelden stengte den kl.17 og det var ingen på hotellet. Hadde kanskje vært lurt med noe ekstra drikkevann og isbiter i varmen?
