Super 8 by Wyndham North Hollywood

The staff are great it's clean and a good deal. Perfect if you want to walk to liquor stores pawn shops dispensaries and smoke shops. I can not figure out why so many women in tiny outfits like standing on the street corners here but they do. Parking is unsafe although it seems that it would be as the lot is enclosed within the facility but without a gate. There are cameras but that does not bring back my lost items.

Parking gets tight at night so best to get a compact vehicle but overall would come again!

Clean great people work here but the neighborhood is rather rough with weedshops stripclubs and pawnshops scattered amongst liquor stores. Parking is within the courtyard but I did have something stolen from my car parked in the courtyard tho.

Parking was a bit of a challenge...small spaces for small cars...and limited spaces available. Located in an industrial area, but close to the hwy.

check in staff was great! The room was great. Parking was tight but found a spot in the far far back. Grounds were clean. Just the night noise on the main street woke me a few times but nothing serious. I plan to visit this hotel again if need be on my next visit. It did have the best rates in comparison to other hotels. Thank you!

I read a review saying someone had a problem with roaches, which was A while ago, so I thought that maybe it got addressed because the most recent reviews were positive, but I was wrong. I encountered a roach problem an hour and a half hours later after checking in informed the manager on duty and he proceeded to give me a spray bottle and would not exchange my room, I spray the spray bottle completely empty. Left the room for a few hours while it dried then I returned didn’t see any roaches but the next morning I heard my wife yelling in the bathroom. The roaches were on the counter in the bathroom.

I killed bed bug that bit me thru the night, I should the sheets and pictures to the manager, He said I should get a refund thru Expedia. I have a video and pictures

Hotel was very clean and friendly. I had. Requested a handycapp but not available. Hotel is close to Universal Studios. They have a nice breakfast. Room rates are fair. I will stay there again the next time I go to universal studios,

The room was ant infested. Bathroom door frame was rotted out from the bottom. The ants were coming in from the rotted door frame. Not using that hotel again.

The first room we got had a lot of cockroaches Even in the bed

The front counter person who work last night was very rude and the room had insects flying around and ants inside

We stay at room 111 for $100 a night in early April. It is worth it, and I am impress of their new renovated room. Nice and clean, I love the fact it is hardwood floor, you know if is dirty. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who plan a holllywood/universal trip, 10-15 minutes away. Continental break is very basic and simple bagel, cereal, and coffee is all you get, if you get lucky there is banana left at the counter.

The room was surprisingly nice for the neighborhood. I would have loved to have had a USB port somewhere (alarm clock is common) in the room.

No hot water.

The room was very nice. My biggest issue was that my door was so hard to unlock. I called the front desk for help and they didn’t come. After about 10 minutes of trying, suddenly the key worked, thankfully. The A/C was also off before I got to the room so it was really hot. The A/C high/med/low settings weren’t working and it didn’t cool off until about 6-8 AM. The WiFi is also very slow so my firestick wouldn’t load which was an bummer. The beds are not super comfortable- to the point where I woke up and my leg was asleep. Aside from that, the room was very nice. I loved that they gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste. That was a very nice touch. Overall, not the worst place I’ve stayed, but definitely not the best either.

This is very much a budget motel. It is a case of you get what you pay for and I don't really have any complaints. Fine for a night's sleep before pushing on to another destination. Two issues though: 1. The shutters (such as they are) do a terrible job of blocking out the very bright lights from outside. So you can virtually still read after you turn off the lights. I can sleep through anything but if you really need a dark room you'd be in trouble. 2. The Internet Service is COMPLETELY spotty/erratic. It works and then it doesn't and then it does. It hangs up. Then it crashes. Reminded me of back in the 90s when you were happy when you heard the little bizarre AOL sound that meant you had connected and then you crossed your fingers and held your breath that you'd stay online. All I was doing was checking sports scores so it didn't matter. But I needed to use my computer for work and really needed a consistent connection it would have been very problematic.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. Beds were like sleeping on a trampoline. Too firm and bouncy. Tossed and turned and woke up feeling sore. Says queen bed but felt more like a full size bed. Breakfast was limited to bagels, toast, dry cereal, coffee and juice. Kind of a rough area. Check in took too long. Would not stay again.

Be patient in the Check-in, Is kind of slow. Breakfast is ok: bread, cereal, waffles, orange juice and coffee. The room is good, they don’t have the dusty carpet or curtains Instead they have a good floor. But be prepared to hear all the noises for the other rooms.

There was an incredible amount of noise during the night—I didn’t get any sleep at all. First, the AC was loud, then the trash truck came, followed by cars constantly coming and going, and people talking outside. It was just a terrible night in terms of rest. That said, the room and the property were very clean and pleasant overall.

My room had no hot water. Zero. My room had no tv signal. Zero. I expect a full refund. At 6:30 am the front desk clerk said I would get a call from the manager when he gets in at 7:30. We'll see. It's 7:00 now and I have a flight to catch.

Terrible customer service.

The managers are rude and after we had prepaid the entire stay before arrival, they demanded a $200 deposit and our credit card. They lock you out of room every day and you must return to office to get key reprogrammed. Our adult son and grandson stayed there because we went To Universal Studios and had to go get new key every evening when we were exhausted. They don’t let you into locked office.

Staff at the front desk were incredibly dismissive and rude. Check in was confusing with weird vibes all around. Fire alarm went off at random all morning and continuously woke us up.

I love the staff. They are super friendly. The overnight people are attentive if you need anything they make it happen. I always have very late check-in and they always respect my room so I absolutely love this place.

The front desk never let me check in to my room I had to rent an a diferent hotel for this issue they want me to pay $200 dlr. Down payment, after I'd paid from long time ago fir my stay itinerary, so I want to return my money if you can other wise forgeret,

Very clean and professional staff

First of all the customer service skills there are horrible. They don’t care about the customers number two nowhere on the website nor on Expedia‘s website does it say that you need a $200 deposit on a credit card debit card are not accepted

I booked a room here on Expedia, I frequently use Expedia and don't usually have problems...confirmed bookings are paid in full, some hotels may require a $100 deposit for incidentals... I went to check in at 11pm sat.night. This is done by visiting the guy behind the bullet proof window. I was greeted with suspicion and apathy as the presence of working girls and their pimps began to graze the property .. this location is toxic! Although there is nothing regarding credit cards on my invoice nor online nor on Expedia .com and with the already paid I was In disbelief that I was being denied my room because I was using a chase bank Visa debt card and not a credit card! I pleaded and even suggested they charge my card $500 deposit and the attendant couldn't care less and actually the nerve to hold my id and debit card behind his protective glass taunting me for its return to me... the glass saved his neck sat night ! And worse part was he refused To give me a refund and forced me to retrieve it on my own from Expedia ? So we won't honor your booking, but we will keep the money!? Sat night 11pm looking for a hotel of course now with rates almost doubled I found lodging and paid another ride share me there.....super 8 and it's staff can blank of the blank blank for all I blank care! They are blank blank worst of all time!

Close to downtown

Very close to universal studios

The hotel itself was great. Nothing fancy, just a basic room. The breakfast was fine, again basic, nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable. The area was super sketchy, but the hotel felt very safe. They have great customer service and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They've moved to eco-friendly soaps in the shower that then leaves you with no hand soap, but not a huge deal. Great if you're just looking for a place to sleep. If you're looking for something fancy, this is not the place for you.

Needed it after going to universal studios. Didn't like the location at night.

The motel is in excellent condition, and the beds are comfortable. It's not the greatest neighborhood, so this is best for quick overnight stays.

This was a great property for us. It was perfect for going to Universal Studios and Hollywood Blvd. We even drove to the Santa Monica Pier.

The staff were absolutely amazing. The area is rough. I’m not from the area but man it was iffy for sure. Rooms have been renovated and were clean. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. So kind.

I appreciated the continental breakfast choices.

In general is good for what you pay breakfast could be better

Great location. Easy to get to all the places we wanted. The price was good for what you get. Bedding was sparse and thin. I was glad i brought my own blanket and pillow. Packaged oatmeal and bagels for breakfast...three small tables. Just get it and go back to your room.

Pulling in- it appears sketchy. Looks like a motel. Front lobby isn’t really a lobby. Breakfast options are limited. Says includes breakfast but it’s not the typical continental breakfast in most places. 2 cereals. Toast. Bagels. Eggos. Only green apples. But the room was actually spacious and clean. Larger fridge. Bonus it had a microwave. Staff at check in was very friendly.

The reception service so poor and noisy early morning while sleeping. The breakfast selection is too little limited to coffee, tea and bagels. No egg and sausages.

Two nights stay here. Rooms were clean & ac working well. Nice bathroom. Friendly & helpful staff. The breakfast was minimal, but whatever items were kept, were fresh & good quality including freshly brewed coffee.
