Comfort Inn & Suites Near Universal - N Hollywood - Burbank

This property has its own parking; however, it is double parking spaces (one in front of the other). Staff was very friendly. I was surprised at daily room cleaning. Most places I stay at only offer 3 day cleaning services. All in All, I would definitely stay here again.

Easy check in , good secure parking $, rooms and open area of hotel very clean and good breakfast.

What I like about comfort inn. the hotel is always quiet and clean, and the staff are generally very nice, they don't require a deposit which is a big bonus! Here's what I don't like, there is literally nowhere to park in this neighborhood, as a guest you have no choice but to park at the hotel and its insane, they charge Guests $20 per car! that's wrong! And for the rates they charge, they have no bar/restaurant, and the pool is creepy!

Good stay, not the best but definitely been to worse. Property was clean, parking is a little weird & limited, elevator access, 4ft pool, hot breakfast options . The room we stayed in did not have carpet which we liked.

The staff was all very nice. The motel: The pool is basically the size of a large bathtub and it’s located in a concrete bunker in the parking lot under the motel. The “pool room” is only slightly larger than the pool. Approx 3 feet of that room is open roof. It gets no direct sunlight at all. There is no fitness center. There is no restaurant. The morning breakfast nook consists of unbelievably salty scrambled eggs every day, a waffle iron, yogurt, and very watered down coffee. The room: we rented 2 rooms for 4 people and they were very large and clean. The cleaning staff is great. However, we had to switch rooms three times. Once, because the sink in one room created a river of water all over the floor. Once because one of the rooms developed a disgusting mildew smell. Once because the TV in one room was nonfunctional. This last room also had a virtually non-draining sink but we were leaving the next morning and just dealt with it. We were there for ~1 week, and at least half that time, there was a large bath towel placed in front of the elevator door (see pics). Apparently there was a water leak that was dealt with by just placing a towel over it. That area developed a disgusting rancid water odor. After several days, they removed the towel and sprayed the area with some fragrance which only added to the nausea. The property is located in a seedy part of town. You cannot walk outside without encountering a gauntlet of homeless street people.

The hotel is good, clean, nice room but not hot water in my room. You have to pay for parking

The Hotel and staff was excellent. The parking is double deep. So if you or the other car needs to leave someone needs to move out of the way for that to happen. Parking cost 20.00. The area is definitely not the best but it is close to the Burbank airport 7 min drive

They charge for parking. The pool area is 4ft deep enclosed and partial opening. No gym. Grocery store accross the street had armed security. Too many homeless close by.

Definitely could use some improvements. Especially parking.

The outlets next to the bed did not work and the floor was extremely dirty. I used a Clorox wipe to wipe down the floors and the wipe was completely black afterwards.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my recent experience at this Comfort Inn & Suites. Upon entering our room, it was immediately clear that the cleanliness standards were far below what I would expect. The room had visible dirt, the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and the general appearance gave the impression that it had been rushed through or skipped altogether during housekeeping. The most alarming part of our stay, however, was when my kids found a bottle of prescription pills left behind by a previous guest. This is completely unacceptable and extremely dangerous. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff right away, expecting immediate concern and action. Instead, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of accountability. Not only did the staff fail to show any real concern for the safety issue, but they also did everything they could to avoid offering any compensation or discount for the experience. I wasn’t looking for a free stay, but I did expect some gesture of goodwill considering the severity of the situation. This stay left me questioning the safety and standards of this location, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. I hope management seriously reevaluates their cleanliness protocols and staff training, especially when it comes to customer care and safety.

Overall the hotel is excellent. The staff is very friendly and polite. The breakfast was good they had a variety of items to chose from. Not a lot of homeless people surrounding the building. Building was very clean.

Very clean! The room with a jetted tub was amazing; huge room that was sparkly clean. Yummy breakfast and kind staff.

Random bugs in the room and hallways, hair on towels and bedding. Not a place i would return to.

The room had an overwhelming odor as we walked in. The curtains had holes, and the carpet needs to be replaced because it is old, discolored and we felt uncomfortable walking on it without shoes.

Room was decent. But everything smelled like mildew/mold. There was brownish red substance on the door lock...maybe blood. Parking was rough, double parked stReally hoped it would be nicer and cleaner for the money.

The room itself was plenty big. But the room itself was disappointing. The lighting is not great. They plugs were all loose so they didn’t hold the plug in. So none of my devices charged. The bathroom had black mold in it. I’ve stayed here before and after this visit will NOT be staying here again.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable with mini fridge and usual amenities. The highlights : great staff and service Allison and Nick were very courteous and helpful, thanks guys ! Breakfast had decent variety. Overall a good value for money. You can use the big grocery store right across the street. Do not bank on the pool as it was small but then it’s not a costly stay anyway. We were very happy with this stay!

Huge rooms. Definitely spacious and comfortable.

Room was large and clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Area was not the best for amenities, but it was a fairly quick Uber to Universal, which was where we went.

The room was really big and very clean and worked fabulous for our family of 5. The staff was extremely friendly. The free breakfast was excellent and had a lot of options and was prefect for our family. They do offer onsite parking however you double park and leave your keys with the front desk. The pool was really small and the neighborhood was a little sketchy. Overall we would definitely recommend and stay here again!!!

On a scale of 1-5, our first night in this hotel was a 2 and the second night was a 4 so overall I would give this hotel a 3. On our first night, the doorknob to the bathroom was super loose and seemed like it would fall off at any moment. Also, there was no lid on the toilet. We checked in after 8 pm and by the time I noticed these issues my kids were asleeps so I didn't want to request a new room. Both of these issues were fixed on the second day of our stay. Another problem is that the only curtains that fully closed were the thin translucent ones - not the opaque curtains. Given that this hotel is in an urban area the inability to block the outside lighting was frustrating.

They do have their own parking for the building, however they charge $19 a night for parking keep that in mind when you book here.

Good location for places we wanted to go. Most places we were visiting were only 15 minutes away. Very comfy beds and nice fluffy towels. Room was clean. Air conditioner was loud and dated but worked well, just loud enough to wake you up when it cycled on. The breakfast was good but not varied much in the 4 days were there. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked throughout the serving time. With parking being somewhat limited you could have a time where your car would be blocked as they had to park back to back. It was never really a problem for us during our visit thankfully. Staff was always kind and friendly. Would stay here again.

Air conditioner was noisy and the beds made a lot of noise when you move around or sit on it.

The front desk clerk was so friendly and took time to listen. The manager greeted us at check in. In the morning, we went down to the included breakfast. There was a very rude guest who used the serving tongs for both the sausage and the eggs, then laughed when I said something about cross contamination because my child is allergic to eggs. Hotel staff was amazing. As soon as I told them what happened, they made an additional portion and let me daughter get hers before they put it out for others.

Night manager was so ridiculously rude. Check in representative tried to over charge me. Housekeeping is incredibly professional and keep the place top notch clean and will provide service as needed. Kitchen staff kept eating area exceptionally clean, fresh food stocked. So nice. Quick to sweep up after messy children and wipe tables for the next guest. Food was excellent.

Staff didn’t give us all the check-in info we needed so we kinda figured it along the way. Didn’t like that we had to pay for parking ($19/day), pool looked sad, seems like there was construction going on in our room because we noticed someone change the painter’s tape in our room when we got back. Breakfast was your average breakfast, kind staff there. Overall no complaints besides the staff coming into our room to do whatever they did although we had a “do not disturb” sign up & weren’t told beforehand that they were fixing whatever they needed in our room (changed painter’s tape).

The front desk lady was AMAZING! I was really concerned by the neighborhood as we got close to the property, but the immediate area was actually okay. The room had been recently updated and was quite nice. The parking garage has double parking and is weird, but again the front desk lady made it all okay.

The staff were excellent, so friendly and welcoming. My previous hotel was a disaster and once arrived at the Comfort Inn the staff accommodated by early check-in and even provided a complimentary room upgrade. Thank you all for a great stay!

We chose to stay here while visiting Universal Studios. The facility was satisfactory in every aspect. The parking lot is a little strange. They double park the spots so if you are last in you leave keys with front desk. The foldout couch mattress was not super comfy but the beds were very comfortable. The area was a little sketchy but it didn’t bother us. If you are using the hotel for a place to sleep while sight seeing in the area it is perfect and we would stay here again!

Stayed here to be close to Universal Studios Hollywood, and it was good for that reason. Neighborhood is sketchy, but the security seemed good enough at the hotel, including enclosed parking. A park and ride subway station is really close when I wanted to avoid LA traffic, and a grocery store was across the street, which was convenient. Breakfast was better than regular continental with waffles and some hot items.

I was skeptical before booking, but it’s a good quality hotel for the price, 10minute drive to universals, area has walkable dining options, it’s an old hotel but they did some good renovations so the rooms looks neat.

This property is located close to universal studios. The free breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. We were advised by the front desk to take the city bus for 75 cents per person to universal studios in which we did instead of paying for expensive parking. It was a very good stay.

Great Proximity to Universal Studios, felt safe in hotel and it was clean. Staff were super friendly. Not located in the greatest of Neighborhoods, but not the worst.

Hotel was fine, charged $19 for parking in a tandem parking lot in what I'd call a below-average neighborhood. Not entirely unsafe but we weren't exactly motivated to hang around or even walk across the street to the grocery store after dark. Decent breakfast setup and economical for what we needed as a family going to Universal Studios.

Food was cold, sometimes still frozen. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because their website stated they had on-site laundry. When we get there, we find out that is not the case. When we showed them thw website, all they could say was that they will have it corrected. No apologies. The least they could have done was do a refund for one of our nights.

We had a lovely stay. Breakfast was good. We loved the waffles and unlimited bacon. The staff was very helpful and nice. And we had the best tacos and burritos at a taco stand nearby.

I really liked the staff at this property. The room was really well kept. We stayed here for our trip to Universal Studios. We have a relatively large family. This is our second stay here for three reasons: 1. The staff is fantastic. 2. We can stay in the same room. 3. The breakfast is really good. There is an awesome variety of food. It was the highlight of my son's day.

Bed was more comfortable than most hotels. Breakfast was great and included hot and cold items. Starbucks right across the street. Helpful and quick service. Would stay here again.
