I've been staying here for years. On this trip, the hotel was filled with guests with dogs. Don't know if this is new, but it was out of hand. Barking at all hours, and walking down the hall was met by another guest who could barely control their pit bull as it lunged at me. Unless this policy changes, I won't ever stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised to find a nice motel in a small Iowa town. We were met by a friendly woman at the desk who checked us in. I was surprised to find out there was no elevator, but managed due to a less than perfect knee. Our room was fine, bed and pillows were comfortable and room was clean and decorated well. We had a good nights sleep.

Staff was great and hotel was cleaned and maintained well. No elevator it diddnt effect my trip but i dont recall seeing that marked down as a potential problem for others. Breakfast was provided but was nothing special that was my biggest issue. Highly recommend the hotel good staff clean and friendly but the breakfast not great

When in Cresco, I always stay at Super 8. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is limited but enough to kick off the day.

The front desk personnel, even though working 12-to-16-hour shifts (I stayed twice over a week span for a total of 4 nights and only interacted or saw one person working the front desk), was extremely friendly and helpful. Check in and check out could not have been better or easier. The grab and go breakfast had a small selection of items, but they covered the basics. The rooms were as clean as the staff could make them. The carpets definitely need to be professionally cleaned or replaced as they appeared very dirty. The furniture is very old and dated. The room had a strange odor that may have been from the carpets. If you need to stay in the Cresco area, my advice is to look at the accommodations available in Decorah about 20 miles west of Cresco. For food in Cresco, I definitely recommend Dan's Road House (excellent Smash Burger) and Atomic Pizza.

Upon arrival, we found the bathroom floor to be covered in hair. In fact, we wiped up a giant handful before we could even use the restroom. So gross!!! Otherwise clean, but everything seemed shabby and out of date.

But the property is starting to show its age, the furniture looks worn (the wood was chipping or splintering away on nightstands and dresser), the wall had holes that looked like drywall mounts, and the in-room wifi was almost non-existent. It's fine as a place to shower and sleep, but it would be depressing to spend any significant amount of time here.

First of all, the staff was very helpful and friendly. They worked hard to keep the breakfast area well supplied during breakfast. When we needed something from the front desk person, they were always friendly and quick to help. The breakfast was pretty simple with mostly cold items, but on Saturday and Sunday they did provide some sausage links, and Sunday also had cheese omelettes. Our room, and the property as a whole was pretty clean, which is an absolute must for us. On the downside, we registered for a two bed room, but received a room with one bed. It was a king bed, but we are a family of four and that wasn't going to work. The desk worker said the hotel was fully booked that night we so we couldn't switch room, but she did offer us a roll-away cot, which we decided was sufficient for our family. We did experience some problems with the TV, and the Wi-fi was spotty at best, which we hope gets corrected soon. If we travel here again, we'll consider staying in this hotel, but we definitely will confirm ahead of time that we'll be getting the room that register for.

The staff was friendly and responsive. For the most part, I didn't see or hear other guests. While some of the furniture is run down, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The weather went from cold at night to hot in the day, and it was good to have a responsive thermostat on the heating/air conditioning unit. I would have appreciated more water pressure from the shower and hotter water from the sink, but these were minor inconviences. The slow WiFi was problematic, especially in an area where cellular coverage is lacking; I was unable to make/receive video calls or stream video on my laptop.

The worst thing about the property is the flood lights directly outside the second-floor windows that are not blocked out by the curtains. It made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I had to get my room key refreshed every day because it stopped working (even though I had it nowhere near my phone or wallet), and the reception desk was often unstaffed when I went to get a replacement. Finally, the person working the desk when I checked out was unable to print out a receipt; she was only able to print out a reservation confirmation.

Booked 3 rooms several months in advance. Hotel staff lied and said I didn't have a reservation. Then later cancelled my reservation. Was there for my son's graduation in neighboring town with family. All other hotels were booked up. No apologies, just excuses and pointing the fingers at others, claiming they overbooked them. Hotel staff claimed they spoke with 2 managers and handed the phone over to me to talk to 1 of them who did the same thing, provided excuses and pointed finger. Awful service. Glad I never have to return to this place.

The worst thing about the property is the flood lights directly outside the second-floor windows that are not blocked out by the curtains. It made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I had to get my room key refreshed every day because it stopped working (even though I had it nowhere near my phone or wallet), and the reception desk was often unstaffed when I went to get a replacement. Finally, the person working the desk when I checked out was unable to print out a receipt; she was only able to print out a reservation confirmation.

Pleasantly surprised to find a nice motel in a small Iowa town. We were met by a friendly woman at the desk who checked us in. I was surprised to find out there was no elevator, but managed due to a less than perfect knee. Our room was fine, bed and pillows were comfortable and room was clean and decorated well. We had a good nights sleep.

The staff was friendly and responsive. For the most part, I didn't see or hear other guests. While some of the furniture is run down, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The weather went from cold at night to hot in the day, and it was good to have a responsive thermostat on the heating/air conditioning unit. I would have appreciated more water pressure from the shower and hotter water from the sink, but these were minor inconviences. The slow WiFi was problematic, especially in an area where cellular coverage is lacking; I was unable to make/receive video calls or stream video on my laptop.

Sausage links terrible and had to order omellettes and not good when in hurry and 4 people in front. It was small but could of had things like bisquets and gravy in crockpot that doesnt take much room.

It was good, not great. They’ve removed a lot of the breakfast items that I looked forward to have. One of the employees never even knew that they had it, and another one said that they were having budget cuts to buy furniture? If I stay in the area, I’ll look elsewhere.

Staff was great and hotel was cleaned and maintained well. No elevator it diddnt effect my trip but i dont recall seeing that marked down as a potential problem for others. This is by far the cleanest and best kept Super 8 I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in A LOT!. They were also the most helpful and friendliest Super 8 staff I've dealt with. 5 stars isn't enough.

The room we had was a king size bed, and a large room that had for some reason has a storage closet in it, but that didn’t bother us. The room was nice and clean. Only negative is the ceiling was peeling by the sink. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK. If you wanted a egg omelette, you just asked the staff and they prepared it for you and they provided sausage. Other options was fruit cup yogurt, toast, honey bun, and cereal. And of course, coffee, tea, and juice. We were there for two days. The price and amenities fit our needs. Would stay there again.

Overall, everything was quite nice. However, the website said to check in after 2:00pm. I arrived around 4:00 or 4:30pm, and my room was not ready yet. I was told that the staff person cleaning it was "very slow." I was offered another room and had to wait about 20 minutes for it to be ready. Aside from that, no other complaints, and I liked having a mini fridge and a microwave in the room.
