Great spot, parking can be tricky but overall great place to stay while visiting Carmel

A bit challenging to park. Overall nice stay for the price.

Very nice room, charming property, fire pit under the lights in the back is a great touch.

The inn was wonderful with beautiful grounds and friendly and helpful staff. Only drawback is when your room is in the back and several guests are parked we needed to back our car out many yards to turn around at the front of the inn.

Our room was nice but very small and close to the street so very noisy. No elevators, so if your room is on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Parking was also extremely challenging. And the parking lot was so small it was difficult to navigate. There were no spaces so we had to park in the driveway very close to a wall. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was great!

Beautiful boutique hotel close to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. I like that there's balcony in our room so we could open the sliding door for fresh air or we could sit out in the balcony to sip coffee or just enjoy a glass of wine. There's also a firepit in the garden area with string of lights over it and beautiful plants and flowers all around the place.

Quaint rooms and property, outdoor firepit was very nice touch. Staff was very helpful and kind. - Parking is very tight, staff relies on guests to be considerate when parking which they were not at all yesterday.

This was the prefect place to stay in Carmel. The property is very cozy and clean. There is a firepit which was perfect for wnjoying these cool winter nights. The staff was friendly and helpful.

It was a very quaint property with wine themed rooms. The gardens were beautiful with a firepit area. The only downside was the parking area was a bit small and difficult to maneuver in. Very close to sites in Carmel and Monterey.

Charming place right off one of the main roads but near downtown Carmel. The room was very clean, nicely stocked, great water pressure, and comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again.

Office suppose to open at 8. Caucasian lady front desk arrived at 845 … she was not apologetic … such a hassle cause I needed to leave as I had appt in San Francisco… railing to stairs in front office very unsteady. Needs a lot of safety issues … bed sheets was gritty also top sheet … coffee maker container not washed clean

The flowers all around the property smell amazing! Very clean, quiet, safe. The mini fridge worked well. I like the decor. I called ahead and was able to do a late check in with no problems (they left the key in a drop box). Didn't like the heater not having a specific temp to set it to, just a knob without settings. Heater worked well though and I was glad they have a heater. Room had a little scotch tape on one wall. Bathroom light turns off automatically while in the shower if you're not moving around enough, that got annoying. Also wish the bathroom had a fan to vent away steam, not just a window. Bathroom was very clean and I liked how it was decorated. Overall, I think it's super cute, clean, safe, pleasant, and would stay there again. I've stayed there a few times before and always had good experiences.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Property is landscaped beautifully.

Room was clean, it was quiet at night and the hotel is 20 minutes walking to down town. The room we had was surprisingly small it reminded me of some red roof inns I have stayed in. There was no room for the door to swing into the room so it opened into the walking area outside the room. The bed takes up about 80% of the main room the picture used had a desk and chair by a sliding door, this was not possible as there was no room for the desk . The bathroom etc was OK and clean. It has the sink area outside of the toilet etc. so for one night it was OK. Pricey but holiday weekend last minute booking hotel can charge whatever people will pay

The Vendange staff was helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was comfortable and roomy. The room was cleaned daily, and I didn’t even have to request it! I would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Vendange!

Wonderful king room with kitchen. Very friendly staff and close to the lovely town of Carmel. Really enjoyed our two night stay here as part of a road trip from the UK.

We had a lovely stay. The only thing I would say to improve on is the beds were rock hard. Hips are bruised from sleeping. Very nice place to stay.

Suite was spacious with a large kitchen. Very clean and quiet. Bonus parking space next to the suite. We had a nice 1 night stay. Highly recommended.

Room was on a main road resulting in higher than average noise. The room was clean and well maintained.

Staff was super friendly. I mistakenly booked the wrong date, and they corrected the whole thing, honored the price, and even upgraded our room. Clean room and spacious bathroom. Would definitely stay again the next time we’re in town.

Cindy is the best and she makes you feel like family. The property is in top condition. It is not near the downtown to walk but it is close to everything. You will love it. You can hear the road a little but it’s all good.

The Vendange is a great place to stay. Its location is conveniently located to the beautiful city of downtown Carmel, that's walking distance. When checking in and receiving a very warm welcome from Cyndy, I knew this was the place to be. Thank you Cyndy!

We found this accommodation very unsatisfactory. At check in we were left standing at the front desk a good 10min. while the clerk tried to figure out our reservations without any conversation from her. When we inquired concerning the delay the reply "Oh we have it but doing some "jiggling of rooms" since yours is to ready (we arrived 5 minutes before check in at 2:55pm, check in is at 3:00pm) We were then given a room next to office and across from housekeeping even though the facility was hardly occupied. The leaf blower started at 8:30am! . Note: There is no housekeeping unless you specifically request it, ie. no clean towels, pick up of wet ones, no coffee replenishing etc. apparently, the desk clerk "forgot" to mention this when we checked in. It is in a lengthy had out they gave us apparently. Only one chair in the room and one luggage holder. No place else to place a second suitcase except on the floor. Carpet well worn and stained in places. Highly suspicious we didn't get the room that was originally intended. This location is on the truck route into Carmel VERY busy and noisy, only about 2 blocks from Highway 1 entrance. You have to drive everywhere as the road Carpenter has no shoulder and cars are whizzing past. Not safe to walk on. They have limited parking and although we were always able to get a space (since the facility was barely occupied) IF it were busy not sure where one would park. One the shoulder of a very busy road? Would not recommend

We had a great time at Vendange Carmel Inn. We were lucky to have Cindy at the front desk. She was very kind and accommodating. I’ll be returning to this place again in summer.

The person who checked me in on Sunday July 9th in the afternoon was not at all friendly and courteous. The person who checked me out on Tuesday morning July 11th was excellent.

The woman that checked us mumbled and had a heavy accent and it was like she was trying for us not to understand her. She was also extremely unfriendly. Just rude. I asked if there was a bathroom in the lobby and all she said was “use your room!” There are no screens on the sliding glass doors and no air conditioning. We asked about a breakfast and the rude woman just said “NO”! She also said we couldn’t park in the parking spot we were in for no reason at all. The room faced the highway and was super noisy. It is FAR from luxurious. Outdated lobby and bathrooms. It says “breakfast area on ground floor”. So go buy your breakfast and bring it to their ground floor apparently. Fire pits and chairs were set up but not turned on. Whole thing was a joke. Thank god we were only there for one night.

This place is wonderful. Cindy in the front office was extremely friendly & so nice. Room was big & clean. Will definitely come back & stay again.

Cindy at the front desk welcomed us with open arms like we were family,VERY friendly person can’t wait to get back.this is the 3rd time we’ve stayed there it’s quiet and cozy.

This was a great place to stay on our visit to Carmel. Clean, comfortable room. Just a few minutes drive to downtown.

Interesting single standing units. Very spacious room. One drawback is that it is not an easy walk to center as there are few sidewalks along the route.

Our room was small but cute. Everything looked clean, I think our only complaint was that the bed dipped way too much towards the headboard and the pillows were so soft. We’re personally more used to a firm mattress, though. Also, it is walking distance from downtown, but we had to walk on the side of the road right next to cars for most of the way. It’s definitely not “walkable”. It was right in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, though, which I appreciated.

My sister and I go to Carmel 1x a year and like to stay in Carmel. We want a lot of space and prefer at least one bedroom. This place has a fantastic suite with a full kitchen. LOTS of storage and plentiful parking. The downside is that it is atop the hill, and the walk to town is about 20 min. We are both walkers, so we did not mind, but you have to drive to town for elders or people who dislike walking—great pricing for those thrifty travelers.

Comfy stay at a decent price for the area. Easy central location to Monterey, Santa Cruz or Carmel Valley. At the edge of Carmel ByThe Sea if you don’t mind a 15-20m walk into town or a short drive to park in town. Mini fridge for snacks and a microwave in the lobby if you like to save money on eating out all the time. Friendly and helpful staff. We’ll be back for sure.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was well appointed and all the essential supplies and amenities were provided. I would say this hotel is not walkable to shopping, dining or Ocean Ave. in Carmel. However, it only takes a few minutes to drive there. And this hotel was literally half the cost of others right off Ocean Ave. All in all it was a very good place to stay.

I liked the room clean good shower and polite receptionist, but there is nothing else here no breakfast no gym no swiming pool.but for the price and location it is worth it.

The unit was fine - but it was a little loud with traffic and the unit above. Tough that the lobby doesn't open until 8 for complimentary coffee.

Cute property! Very easy to get to popular nearby locations from here. In the room, the mattress seemed a bit worn and a couple of times I spotted ants in the room. No AC unit. There was a fan in the closet. With the area humidity, the room was often stuffy. However, we were busy exploring so it wasn’t a make it or break it problem. The staff was super nice and accommodating. There was also an issue with the room key not reading properly on two separate occasions. Their coffee was the BEST! It was from a local place so we hunted them down to buy a few bags for home. Continental breakfast would have been nice, but they served coffee in the office every morning.

Vendange is a nice property. The room was small but it was adequate. The little balcony space helped. The shower and linens were nice. We were disappointed that there was no continental breakfast as we had seen that in other reviews.

Still using COVID as an excuse for no continental breakfast but yet $199.99 charge for Saturday night. Tried getting expresso drink at 8 pm but Office still not opened on a Monday. Rang bell still door not opened.
