Il Giardino Segreto

Bei 33 Grad Außentemperatur ist es in der sehr schönen Unterkunft ohne Klima einfach viel zu warm! Parkmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe nicht vorhanden! Frühstück ist aus der „Konserve“ für. 2 Tage auf dem Zimmer- dafür ist die Besitzerin sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Ruhige Unterkunft in stilvoll eingerichteten Haus mit schönem großem anlegten Garten am Altstadtrand. Die Unkunft liegt fußläufig in unmittelbarer Nähe zum zentalen Platz. Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kaffee, Tee und ein süßes Frühstück mit Fruchtjoghurt kann im Zimmer selbst zusammen gestellt werden.

The property was OK, with a very good location. The chairs in the room were made with wooden slats and quite uncomfortable to sit on. I think it was meant to be lawn furniture, not for inside the house. The small table was made with straw, and the surface was uneven and was hard to eat breakfast on. The owner is a nice enough lady, but really stressed me out. She wanted to know exactly what time I would arrive days before, which was difficult to pinpoint given I was traveling by car and stopping over at other towns, etc. And, she was trying to get me to arrive between 4:30 and 5:30 PM. So many messages from her asking me when I am coming! On the last day, she got noticeably upset that I was still in my room at 8:00 AM (checkout is at 10:00 anyway). I did tell her that I "planned to leave" before 8 the day before. But, it was raining very hard with a severe thunderstorm early in the morning. As there is no car access to the property. I could not drag my bag to the car parked 5 minutes away in heavy rain, and decided to wait for the rain to stop. She came knocking at 8 and was unhappy that I changed my mind because "she came early to clean the room." Well, it is not like I can control the weather, and I have the right to be in that room until 10:00. She does not seem to get that I am the paying customer and she is supposed to accommodate me, not the other way around. This inflexibility on the part of the host made the whole experience quite stressful for me. Not good.

The property is an amazing location - shops, restaurants and sights to see were all well within walking distance. Our Host Cinzia was simply AMAZING - very friendly and helpful - she responded to any questions we had immediately! I would highly recommend the property when visiting Pienza!
