This hotel was very zen/millennial zen feeling. It was quiet and had great vibes during our stay. I loved the new gym equipment including the top-of-the-line Aviron rower which I haven't seen anywhere else. Would definitely book here again if we're in the area

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The $30/night garage parking was not an expected expense and you need to wait for a staff member to open the garage. That was the only downside. Otherwise, everything else was amazing: the staff, size and cleanliness of the room, the gym. I would stay here again.

Property was clean and well maintained! Parking was a key feature for us. Parking in LA is difficult and costly but this hotel has its own parking garage for a fair rate.

This place is new, fresh, modern, and beautiful. We walked into the room and it smells clean and fresh. Great hotel, sweet courtyard, coffee and pastries in the morning, and an overall good vibe. Arrival is a little tricky so call the front desk and ask for some directions. We pulled up and had no idea where to go or what to do. The surrounding area is shady AF but we only felt safe and secure in the hotel.

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and it's so good I'm unlikely to stay elsewhere in LA in future. I find that the attitude of staff on arrival is a really good indication of how a property will be and without question everyone working here are delightful, friendly and helpful. A massive plus. The rooms are perfectly sized with great facilities. Very comfortable and beautifully designed. Great pool and lovely courtyard to relax in. Huge added bonus is the complimentary breakfast doughnuts and coffee!

This hotel is very pretty but a lot of things aren’t considered or done very well. Not suitable for a multiple day stay. The fridge was very small and didn’t keep leftovers cold. There was no microwave, which feels like it should be pretty standard. We got one roll of toilet paper and had to call down for more at which point they brought us one more roll. There no room for storage anywhere. The balcony was really beautiful but was typically too sunny to spend time on during the day. There was lack of clarity at check in. We had to call just figure out where to go and they don’t tell you that when you pay for parking ($30 a day) you have to wait for someone to let you in every single time. It just overall did not feel worth the money.

I was in town for a concert just for a weekend. It was a perfect stay for me. Came in late Friday, staff recommended a restaurant within walking distance and then I had breakfast the next day at a nice local cafe. Room was clean and comfortable. Property was quiet. Easy check in/check out process. They do have a small garage and the staff has to let you in and out HOWEVER they will be working on getting a system where the guest can scan themselves in and out. The property is aesthetically beautiful inside as well. Will definitely be returning.

Sadly, this was not a good stay at Alcace LA. Although it wasn’t late, the arrival to the hotel is not something that most would understand - there is no loading or valet zone, or any markings regarding arrival that I ever saw. I found a parking spot in the neighborhood nearly a few blocks away and walked to the hotel. Later, I was told that wasn’t a great idea due to the safety of the area. Upon walking up to the hotel, it was gates and bars. I found a buzzer and the team member came out. He seems to be ensuring that I was a hotel guest but did eventually open the gate to greet me. He instructed me how to park my car behind the gates. Check-in was kind and off I went to my room. The room was hip, modern, and clean (at first). I ended up finding many unusual cleanliness issues during my stay - including a pubic hair in the bed while I opened the sheets. The evening was filled with a light that would go on a off without any predictability. Turns out that was the mini fridge. The air conditioning was not intuitive and made the room cold or warm - but, in fairness, not an isolated issue in this world. The gym .. oh my, it is sad (except for the rower which was fab!). One rower, one tread, a couple machines and dumbbells that go all the way up to 30 lbs. After getting ready to check out, I paid my parking and resort fee (just felt right all things considered) and I was off and away for the last time.

Alsace is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been. It looks brand new. It absolutely suited my needs as it is close to the 10 and is just ten minutes from a friends house. I found street parking easily - their garage is an extra $30/night. It has a boutique vibe with friendly Joshua there to greet you. In the morning there’s coffee and breakfast breads. Also Nespresso in the room. The neighborhood is not ‘desirable’? Nor is it bad. There’s a fantastic cocktail lounge next door as well as Chulita Mexican food. Another plus is the restaurant will deliver to your room! This includes their fantastic margaritas! Another plus is a great market on the other side for picking up last minute items. Otherwise one might have to walk further or drive. There’s also a Tartine a few more blocks away. Otherwise there’s a printing place and auto parts…it’s just a quirky area. I loved getting a balcony room with a sofa, chairs and table outside! It was like a huge living area! Views of palms over a neighbprhood. Five Wits bath products were very nice - kind of Aveda-herbal scents. Loooved the bedding. It was a wonderful sanctuary in between visiting friends and partying. Very peaceful. Pool area small but also pristine and lovely. Great vibe all around if you like clean modern and calm.

When checking in we weren't greeted warmly and did not feel welcomed. Our interaction with the front desk was very short and dry. We were instructed to sign the hotel agreement/documents and then handed the keys, and that was pretty much it. No explanation of hotel amenities, where things were, how late areas of the hotel were open, etc. Trying to get basic explanation of our car parking situation too was a pain. The room and esthetic of the hotel was very modern and chic. There was a clump of hair left over from the previous guests in the shower drain so we knew it wasn't the cleanest. We had high expectations of this hotel and overall it was an average if not subpar experience.

Everything about this hotel is exquisite! The rooms are small but comfortable, modern, and incredibly clean. (Give the housekeeper a big tip!) We enjoyed relaxing with a good book on our terrace for hours. We wanted to enjoy the beautiful courtyard, but our terrace was so nice and cozy and private that we couldn’t budge!
Everything about this hotel is exquisite! The rooms are small but comfortable, modern, and incredibly clean. (Give the housekeeper a big tip!) We enjoyed relaxing with a good book on our terrace for hours. We wanted to enjoy the beautiful courtyard, but our terrace was so nice and cozy and private that we couldn’t budge!

A nice and modern hotel, with just a couple of bits that let it down from being fantastic. The first was that the room felt a bit soulless with almost too much dead space. The second was that the car park was a bit of hassle each time you wanted to enter/leave. The staff were very pleasant!

These rooms don't have microwaves or refrigerators and lots of hidden fees. Shower walls are open and unsealed so water goes all over the bathroom floor. Even from the third floor, the noise was insane 24-7, and the windows covers don't seal, so it is impossible to have a dark room at night! Very overpriced for not having any real amenities.

Alsace is as described--clean, comfortable, rooms & property look new. Big windows give a feeling of openness as rooms are on the small side. Bed very comfortable & shower is good. No odd noises from anything in the room:) Would have loved a small chair--the tiny stool does not work as well. The street along the side of the hotel has a small homeless encampment (tents) but it was rainy so we never saw an actual person. We walked easily to two different dinner locations after dark and all was well. This seems to be an area in transition with two large building of new construction directly across the street. We would definitely return to this hotel for its reasonable rates and all the pluses mentioned above:)

Staff is super kind and friendly. I slept like a log each night. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. We had an amazing terrace with a little table and chairs and a loveseat outside. The decor and style of this place is amazing. It's modern, yet warm. Everything works, drains and flushes perfectly. Room was well appointed and very clean. Ice cold A/C. A small fridge is in the closet. And there's complimentary fresh donuts and coffee each morning. Area is up and coming with decent restaurants nearby. Just a unique wonderful hotel. We spent 3 nights here and enjoyed our stay! The bed was comfy, we had no issues with the shower/water pressure or anything. The staff was friendly and always greeted us as we were leaving/returning to the hotel. *****!!

The cleaning staff came into my room unannounced to clean the room. I did not ask them to come inside unannounced. I had left the hotel to run an errand. While I was out that’s when the staff came into my room. They invaded my PRIVACY! My card was charged for a purchase I did not make! I had my notebook on the desk with my passwords to all of my accounts and personal information. Immediately after, I noticed a charge on my bank account that I did not make. I suspect my personal information was compromised to commit fraud. They also charge for a deposit upon arrival. It’s been days and the deposit it’s still not sent to my bank. Horrible experience.
The cleaning staff came into my room unannounced to clean the room. I did not ask them to come inside unannounced. I had left the hotel to run an errand. While I was out that’s when the staff came into my room. They invaded my PRIVACY! My card was charged for a purchase I did not make! I had my notebook on the desk with my passwords to all of my accounts and personal information. Immediately after, I noticed a charge on my bank account that I did not make. I suspect my personal information was compromised to commit fraud. They also charge for a deposit upon arrival. It’s been days and the deposit it’s still not sent to my bank. Horrible experience.

I was surprised by the staff going above and beyond – my friends wanted to warm up their breakfast, and they brought a microwave to their room. I asked for slippers, and they brought them right away. The service was great!

First time staying at this hotel and the neighborhood as well. Loved it! Small and very comfortable hotel. The area is very cool too! Nancy at check in was Amazing! All the staff I came in contact with were very friendly and accommodating. Nancy gave me a free upgrade since I was only there for one night! Lovely rooms and very clean, comfortable bed too! Will definitely stay again in the future!

Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and it's so good I'm unlikely to stay elsewhere in LA in future. I find that the attitude of staff on arrival is a really good indication of how a property will be and without question everyone working here are delightful, friendly and helpful. A massive plus. The rooms are perfectly sized with great facilities. Very comfortable and beautifully designed. Great pool and lovely courtyard to relax in. Huge added bonus is the complimentary breakfast doughnuts and coffee!

I was in town for a concert just for a weekend. It was a perfect stay for me. Came in late Friday, staff recommended a restaurant within walking distance and then I had breakfast the next day at a nice local cafe. Room was clean and comfortable. Property was quiet. Easy check in/check out process. They do have a small garage and the staff has to let you in and out HOWEVER they will be working on getting a system where the guest can scan themselves in and out. The property is aesthetically beautiful inside as well. Will definitely be returning.

I was originally attracted by the lower price paired with the higher customer ratings. I was concerned about the West Adams location, but I didn’t see any negative comments about the area in the reviews. The hotel is new and has nice amenities. I always care about the immediate smell in the halls and rooms and they were clean and pleasant. The beds and crisp white linens were heavenly. The contemporary decor was simple and elegant. It was quiet and felt safe and secure inside. I appreciated bottled water included each day. The woman who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The parking was convenient and controlled and locked. We did not have time or need to explore the area, but it felt a little unsafe. I had not stayed in the West Adams area and did not know what to expect. It seems like an area that is in the process of improving. There are new apartment complexes and a few restaurants. It is 10-15 minute drive to USC. I would stay again, especially if the price remains lower than other boutique hotels.

nice to have a small hotel in this up and coming neighborhood. a little lonely at night but this will only get better with time. great adjacency to I10 and culver city. rooms are nice and clean. will definitely come back in the future.

Overall a very clean hotel and friendly staff. The location was convenient for me but definitely in or on the edge of what appeared to be a sketchy area. On site secured parking is great, however having to wait for someone to come out and open the gate was not convenient. The room was a very nice size and clean, would have been nice to have a small light in the bathroom for at night.

This place is new, fresh, modern, and beautiful. We walked into the room and it smells clean and fresh. Great hotel, sweet courtyard, coffee and pastries in the morning, and an overall good vibe. Arrival is a little tricky so call the front desk and ask for some directions. We pulled up and had no idea where to go or what to do. The surrounding area is shady AF but we only felt safe and secure in the hotel.

Our daughter lives in mid-city and Alsace is comfortable, convenient, quiet and accommodating! We appreciated excellent service, fresh morning coffee and sundries in the lobby each morning, underground/gated off-street parking and an ample central patio that has couches and tables for a green break to Mid-City action. Very sweet staff. Check in and check-out were a breeze. Close to museums and some great restaurants. We will stay again!

Alsace is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been. It looks brand new. It absolutely suited my needs as it is close to the 10 and is just ten minutes from a friends house. I found street parking easily - their garage is an extra $30/night. It has a boutique vibe with friendly Joshua there to greet you. In the morning there’s coffee and breakfast breads. Also Nespresso in the room. The neighborhood is not ‘desirable’? Nor is it bad. There’s a fantastic cocktail lounge next door as well as Chulita Mexican food. Another plus is the restaurant will deliver to your room! This includes their fantastic margaritas! Another plus is a great market on the other side for picking up last minute items. Otherwise one might have to walk further or drive. There’s also a Tartine a few more blocks away. Otherwise there’s a printing place and auto parts…it’s just a quirky area. I loved getting a balcony room with a sofa, chairs and table outside! It was like a huge living area! Views of palms over a neighbprhood. Five Wits bath products were very nice - kind of Aveda-herbal scents. Loooved the bedding. It was a wonderful sanctuary in between visiting friends and partying. Very peaceful. Pool area small but also pristine and lovely. Great vibe all around if you like clean modern and calm.

Very good hotel. Interesting, attractive and tasteful design and decor. Interior was immaculate and clean. Free breakfast was stingy at best except for coffee. Had to go elsewhere to buy a hardy breakfast with lots of choice.

Very comfortable accommodations. Close to family. Would have appreciated a chair rather than a stool as one of us has hip/knee problems. Bathroom, shower were fabulous. Breakfast offerings limited to donuts.

I didn't complain but there were two nights where it was pretty noisy and I believe it came from inside the hotel. Also, my shower still had hair in it from perhaps the prior guest. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and hope to continue coming back. I love the neighborhood and the staff is great.
