Sorry to arrive and find a crane and building work going on. No access to riverside patio area.Despite the hotel manager offering to compensate our group booking, nothing has been done as yet. Hotel itself is lovely.

Warm welcome, great location in town, lots of parking to rear, follow the Hotel Car Park signs round the back. Room ok, bit of overspill in it. It was road facing though so some traffic noise. Great dinner (beutiful chowder) in Kennedys and very good breakfast. All in all I would come back here.

Phone not working in room. Even when a replacement phone was requested it was not acknowledge by the duty manager. A very important feature for a. Couple in their 80's. Noise from adjoining room at 3am- could not complain because their was no phone available. Ticking noise from smoke detector which I understand affected anumber if other guests and eventually repaired. They did give us a discount for the inconvenience though .

Everyplace was gleaming. The staff were very friendly and helpful to me. I was told the time to move my car from being parked beside the hotel, to the Hotel car park. I really enjoyed my two night stay at the West Cork Hotel. I hope to be back again sometime.

We experienced very very friendly staff throughout our stay! The hotel enjoys a very tasteful interior design. Our room was just renovated and nicely decorated. The bath is a bit dated, but everything is very clean! The hotel is located close to the river, and just 2 min walk to the center of Skibbereen. Just perfect!

We had a lovely time. Hotel was clean, surprisingly quiet and relaxing. The staff were marvellous Dinner at restaurant was very good as was the breakfast. Hotel could do with modernisation but I would happily return to stay there again

Really nice hotel .. staff extremely helpful and friendly. Food in the bar was good however I was a bit alarmed at the bright yellow sauce that came with the sea bass but food was delicious. Room was very spacious and recently refurbished shower room was fab. Overall very nice and good value for money.

The breakfast wait staff were extremely problematic- they didn’t greet customers in a timely way, they ignored customers and dawdled taking orders. The breakfast itself was delicious- marred only by the experience front of house!

We loved sitting in the lobby waiting to meet up with family. And the food was delicious. But the staff was exceptional. They were very accommodating and made our stay very comfortable (I was traveling with my 91-year old mother). And she cannot wait to go back next year!

Great team welcome. clean. but, toiletries in Bathroom were single use. refillable the norm in many hotels. the breakfast was bland. staying in two hotels in West cork within 4 days, very noticeable the difference. First hotel, had homemade, bread, scones, preserves, granola, the origin of the produce outline on menu, highlighting local produce. the West cork hotel had nothing similar. mass produced, lacking in taste , flavour. Great team welcome. clean. but, toiletries in Bathroom were single use. refillable the norm in many hotels. the breakfast was bland. staying in two hotels in West cork within 4 days, very noticeable the difference. First hotel, had homemade, bread, scones, preserves, granola, the origin of the produce outline on menu, highlighting local produce. the West cork hotel had nothing similar. mass produced, lacking in taste , flavour. Did not appear to support local. No area to relax after a day out. small bar for evening food, but if no reservation no availability.

Lovely hotel on the ilen river in Skibbereen Stayed there 30 years ago when visiting family. Nicely updated with great bathrooms but keeping the charm! Only criticism is the vague breakfast options Need a description of what is a continental breakfast Are ala Carter options available? Great stay!!

The breakfast wait staff were extremely problematic- they didn’t greet customers in a timely way, they ignored customers and dawdled taking orders. The breakfast itself was delicious- marred only by the experience front of house!

Very nice Hotel, but the breakfast is too expensive. If you order The "Works Breakfast" at 16,95 € you will be charges for an additional 2,95 € for toast + 3.00 € for 1 cup of coffee + 3.95 € for Only 1 glass of orange juice. So your breakfast will cost you 26,95 €. We have taken only one cup of coffe because will believe that we will be charged again 3.95 € for per additional cup .... The Breakfast Menu is not very clear, at least for us because it was said that the breakfast will be with coffee and orange juice. So

Great location. Had an issue at check in. We arrived a bit early and reception said they would advise once room was ready. We waited, but nothing. Went back to reception and they said room was ready. Other than that all OK with stay.

We stayed for 3 nights in the West Cork Hotel and were very pleasantly surprised with the standard. The hotel is traditional, nicely placed on the edge of Skibbereen. Our room and bathroom were both large and well maintained. The view was nothing special (some rooms have a river view), but our room curtains were usually drawn because of the heat outside! Very good breakfast, good bar, and staff that were as friendly and helpful as you could want. It was very nice indeed to have a drink next to the river in the evenings. We will be returning for another visit. 👍
