Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Durand

Pleasant stay for a small town. Free breakfast was adequate. Do be aware - there wasn’t an elevator. If you struggle with stairs - don’t book this site unless they guarantee a ground level room.

If stairs are not your friend - please request a 1st floor unit as there is no elevator. It is basically the only hotel in town. So book early if going for a weekend.

Very clean, new feels new. Breakfast had many features like kiwi fruit! Bed could be softer and definitely no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. This place is very nice and particularly clean

We planned to stay at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Menominee, WI but somehow, accidentally chose the one in Durand, WI (which was about 30 minutes away). Unfortunately, we didn’t realize the error until after the cancellation timeline so were forced to stay in Durand. This hotel had many issues and if we had not already paid for the room through Hotels.com, we would have left. The minute we walked in you could detect the musty smell - this multiplied when we walked into our room. The smell was overwhelming! The window did open which helped a little, but with them not having any air circulating in the room, it was a lost cause. The hotel didn't have an elevator - not a huge issue for us but could be for other guests. The beds felt like you were sleeping on a concrete slab and the bedding had stains on them. We can overlook a lot in a hotel room but uncomfortable beds is unacceptable. The drains in the bathroom we’re clogged - it took forever for the water to drain out. The cleanliness of the room was average at best. There was a lot of dust. I clean items in the room when we check in (remotes, light switches, etc.) so I spent a lot of time cleaning everything else. Overall, this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The only good thing about it was the staff - they were friendly. We didn't complain to them as we knew there really nothing they could do about it - switching to another room would be a waste of everyone's time.

Everything was great. The beds were to hard and there was no elevator for handicap. And they were not willing to change to a bottom floor. Not ok.

The property was super clean. Not only in the rooms, but also in the hallways and stairwells. The breakfast seating area was small. However, they served both hot and cold items. The breakfast items were hot, fresh and appealing. All the guests were quiet and respectful. Overall, it was an awesome stay in Durand.

Room had not been properly cleaned. There was debris/wrappers on the floor and a large poop splatter all over the back of the toilet.

Was a nice little quiet hotel. The price is a little expensive. Not sure how well the rooms are really cleaned as we found a pack of cigarettes laying on th floor under one of the beds. Could've been an employees I guess.

The hotel looked nice at first, but when I got to my room, I found that there was toilet paper in my toilet, which made me think how could the toilet be cleaned and still have toilet paper in it? I tried to flush, but the flapper chain was broken, and the toilet would not flush. When I called the front desk, rather than apologizing and moving me to a clean room, the front desk guy said he’d have to come up and fix the toilet. After about fifteen minutes, he came up and fixed the toilet, and while doing so, kept putting his head against the clean towels hanging over the toilet. I could have lived with the toilet situation, but waking up the next morning with my legs covered in flea bites was too much. I’d recommend avoiding this hotel.

Clean and well maintained.

Check in staff did not seem trained. But he was helpful. Top sheet looked dirty, stained. Found a razor on the floor in our room. Water was luke warm in the shower all 3 days. Not much in the area for food. For the money it was an OK stay.

Probably my last stay here. Overall quality has declined over the years. Breakfast offerings were never great, but really bad now. Stale bread, bad apples, bad looking eggs and sausage. Mildew in the shower. Bed needs a new mattress.

The property was clean and the staff are very kind. I checked in late, in hurry to use the facilities, and they were very understanding. The only thing I didn't like was the bed. It was a bit hard and gave me back pain. I will request a softer bed next time.

Although a bit dated (think my laptop might be larger than the TV screen), it was a fantastic condition, clean and comfortable.

Was a clean room, comfortable bed and great desk staff. We were placed upstairs with a toddler which made me worry that we'd receive a complaint but we didn't hear the neighbors and since we never got a complaint in guessing they didn't hear my kiddo.

Reception check in person barely communicated with us. Personalit of a wet noodle.

To get to our room we had to use our key card to go to the second floor, even during the daytime hours. Staff was hard to track down and you had to call a number to have them come to the front desk.

The only drawback was that, as far as I could tell, there was never more than one person on duty so you ended up waiting for service at the front desk. However, when they showed up to help they were very helpful, professional and wonderfully friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone and would absolutely stay there again.

ME AND MY PARTNER ARRIVE AT 8PM DRIVING 12 HOURS SATURDAY THE GUY IN FRONTDESK HES NOT PLEASANT AT ALL NOT SO FRIENDLY AND HAVE A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE LOOKS LIKE HE DONT WANT TO TALK AT ALL I OWN A MULTIPLE HOSPITALITY BUSINESS AND I TRAINED ALL OF MY EMPLOYEES TO RESPECT AND GUIDE THE GUEST WHEN THEY ARRIVE AND LOCATION ALSO FOR THE PRICE IS OVER PRICE!! I DONT MIND TO PAY BUT THE SERVICE WHEN WE ARRIVE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BREAKFAST IS LIMITED TOILET TO LOW LOOKS LIKE A KINDER GARDEN TOILET SINK PILLOWS ALSO THIN LIKE A PAPER OVER ALL ITS OK FOR 1 NIGHT BUT MAINE CONCERN YOUR FRONTDESK GUY NEED HIM TO BE TRAINED HE DONT CARE FOR THE GUEST IF I AM IN THE AREA I WILL NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN ITS CUZ HIM

I stay here often, it’s in my hometown and is convenient when I visit family. They did have an issue with their key cards while I was there and they had to let people in their room each time they left and came back since it was the weekend.

I liked the area around the river where my dog and I could walk around.

This has been a very good hotel in all respects in the times that i have stayed here in the last 4 years except for one glaring problem that i will get to. The staff is always friendly and helpful the rooms are clean and comfortable as is the property in general its been well kept. The problem and i will say this it does not keep me from staying here because of all the other positives the problem is there breakfast area was on this past stay and has been this way before not well kept and sorely lacking in food. First the dispenser for the pancake/waffle mix was a little dirty passing that up you look to the other choice hot food which was scambled eggs which were sitting in water and there was no meat in the container when the young man at the desk was asked about by me and at least one other guest the reply was ya sorry they didnt get any. There was no bread that i saw to make toast there was a small selection of fruit and a small selection of sweet rolls. Before anyone thinks im being picky there were several other guests leaving at the same time as we were to go to an event nearby who didnt like the breakfast situation either way they speak of it or not or review it they spoke ro me and my companion both about it. As i said it will not stop me from staying here as it is a well kept property but you might as well resign yourself to breakfast at McDonald's down the road or bring your own.

There were only 2 negatives: the bathroom lighting was not as good as it should be & the breakfast food was stale & not appealing….the toast was the best thing available.

The property was well cared for and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast we less than impressive. Very little effort was put into offerings and presentation. Luckly there is a phenomenal little breakfast place in Lake City the did an outstanding job. Shout out to the Whistle Stop Cafe for saving the day.

Breakfast was minimal, but there were apples, muffins, etc. Good coffee.

Beds were comfortable, TV worked well, Wi-Fi worked well, room was clean. Did not resupply food at breakfast, some food ran out on two of 5 days there, didn't clean room over 5 day stay.
