Et besøg på dette hotel bliver helt klart uforglemmeligt. Der er skønt at være, personalet skal have stor ros for at man føler sig velkommen, spaen med sin grotte er virkelig unik og en oplevelse i sig selv. Og at der er en cigar lounge for cigar entusiaster gør bestemt ikke besøget ringere. Kan klart anbefale dette hotel. Der er stor p plads både til el biler og alm biler og området omkring hotellet er fremragene. Maden på hotellet er også virkelig godt og smagfuldt. Eneste minus man lige skal være obs på er den relative korte tid man kan spise frokost i. 12-14. og med en spa dag hænger der ikke helt sammen da man fx har fra 10-15 imorgen timerne eller 15-19 i aften timerne. Ved mindre man tager en heldags spa 10-19.00, men bestemt ikke sidste gang jeg ligger min vej der forbi.

Découverte de ce très bel et grand etablissement , au calme , quelques points discutables en l’occurrence pas assez de transats autour de la piscine , de même pour l’espace SPA proposant esthétiquement de belles infrastructures mais trop petites au regard du nombre de chambres et de clients présents dans l’hôtel , et le tarif supplémentaire un peu excessif au regard des prestations proposées . Endroit à découvrir malgré tout .

Flot hotel/slot. Fin restaurant. Flot værelse. Men antallet af solsenge harmonerer slet slet ikke med antallet af gæster på hotellet på en sommerdag. Mange inkl. os selv gik forgæves efter indtjekning for at nyde lidt sol ved den lille pool. Poolen var flot at se på, men vi synes, det var uhygiejnisk, at der ikke var mulighed for at bruse sig inden. Men ok, der var alligevel heller ikke plads til os..

This is in an amazing place. Property is beautiful. Rooms are lovely. Restaurant is amazing. Food absolutely delicious and stunning. Staff lovely. Great for a getaway for two or just with family. Lovely heated pool. Spa. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Highly recommend. You would need a car to get here.

Super Unterkunft. Das spa mit 60€ pro Person ist nicht gerade günstig aber eine einmalige Erfahrung. Es ist sauber und alle sind freundlich.

Wat een hotel. Heerlijke kamers, uitgebreid ontbijt en een geweldige spa. Wandelen door de prachtige omgeving is echt geweldig. De bar is in een soort van grot, gezellig om wat te drinken.

Mostly lovely, just a few odd areas for improvement - having smoking stations right by the spa doors and hotel side entrance, and outdoor pool isn’t something that brings joy! The outdoor bar closing at 6pm in mid summer is just silly, forcing guests and staff to use the cellar bar seems another strange decision. The food quality in the restaurant is disappointing, it feels like mass catering done badly, but served as though it’s Michelin star quality. Otherwise our room, the pool, the breakfast,the peace and quiet all lovely, and the staff mostly very professional and friendly.

Stayed at Chateau d’Urspelt to kickoff a 2 week trip in Europe from America. From the second we turned into the hotel grounds (which lies upon renovated castle grounds), we were so impressed. We immediately had our jaws on the floor with the overall ambience and beauty of the resort, and enjoyed time in the library on the first afternoon. Major highlights that simply cannot be found elsewhere are the gorgeous spa equipped with a LARGE network of natural-looking caverns to swim through, with an amazing sauna, and the very cool underground cellar bar which was also larger than I thought. The second night a large senior tour group had been stopping through for dinner and a one night stay, and although the hotel was significantly busier than our first night, the restaurant staff treated us with care and individuality, and we were not bothered by any noise. In fact the Bar that night was a huge trip highlight! Big shoutout to Bruno and Moses for making us feel at home immediately

Impossible de se doucher. Une fois l'eau allumé, cela ne s'evacue pas et va vers la chambre . Pas de solution donne sur le moment donc pas de douche surtout apres le spa ... Le restaurant, désolé mais je l'ai vecu un peut comme un calvaire. 45 minutes entre chaque plat. Les assiettes ont un gout de trop peut.

Helt nydelig chateau/hotell, stilfullt interiør og eksteriør. Frokostbuffet, greit utvalg men trangt om plassen der buffeten var, ble stående i kø, så beregn god tid. Eneste minus var vasken på rommet som var nesten helt tett, og som drypte under når det ble for mye vann. Både badekar og dusj på rommet.

We had a really mixed stay as some parts of the experience were great and others weren’t. The good: The spa is incredible. Amazing facilities, good treatments and the cave pool is something I’ve never experienced in a spa before. The château itself is very beautiful and the outdoor areas are really relaxing and romantic. The breakfast buffet was great. Good food, lots of choice and lovely to eat in the courtyard. The food and presentation at dinner was good. The bad: The service was just not good at times. The staff seemed a bit too busy and overworked, and whilst they were trying their best, things would get forgotten. At dinner our wine never came but then appeared on the bill. We had to go inside to ask about the bill as no one had come to our table for so long. They said they would bring an allergy friendly amuse bouche and then we had to ask multiple times and it took a while. The menu at dinner is a little limiting, especially if you have allergies. If you stayed a couple of nights, you might run out of choices. Also, they ran out of cheese at 8:45pm, so we couldn’t have the dining option we wanted which made it more limiting. The room was a little bit shabby in areas with paint peeling etc. It was also extremely hot, so difficult to get much sleep. The view wasn’t a courtyard/garden view as advertised, we could just see the car park. Our late checkout was forgotten so we had to go to the desk in our robes, locked out.

Heel mooie accommodatie. Je ziet aan de details het vakmanschap. - mooie inrichting - heel zuiver - geweldig ontbijt, werkelijk alles aanwezig en van topkwaliteit -restaurant van hoge kwaliteit Dit hadden we niet verwacht in deze minder toeristische streek.

Wonderful hotel - the staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, the hotel and the rooms are spotless, very comfortable beds, nice roof top pool with a bar and courtyard seating area. It’s just a great place to stay. Highly recommend.

Check your bill !! Reception young girl with glasses in morning added 50 Euro to the bill. Lucky we noticed, then she would not believe us so took us 40mins in the carpark on their weak wifi to prove to her that we had clearly already paid for 3 people - sad price gouging or bad training, no apology of course - either way it destroyed our confidence in this place. (Man in evening was delightful though). Pros: Breakfast good. Cons: lots of Ants in room, No aircon or fans. Lots of Flies in room - as window had to be a tiny bit open as way too hot with no fans to sleep. Rock hard beds.

This hotel is great. Beautiful, clean, the rooms are big, the amenities are great. It seems most appropriate for couples but families with older kids will love it too.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel/spa in Luxembourg. There was an upscale restaurant for dinner, self-serve breakfast and a bar for after dinner drinks. Bedding was extremely comfortable, room had air conditioning, heated outdoor pool, and a nice outdoor patio area to have drinks/cocktails prior to dinner. Unfortunately, we did not have time to make use of the spa, but it looked very nice.

La chambre 101 n'était absolument pas insonorisée ! On entendait très bien les allées et venues des touristes et des véhicules, tant dans le couloir que dans le parking ! La musique dans le couloir était audible jusque dans la chambre ! L'horloge sonnait bruyamment tous les quarts d'heure, et ce, très tôt le matin jusqu'à tard le soir ! Les portes des autres chambres claquaient souvent fort et bruyamment ! Bruit provenant du couloir et des voisins (du dessus) ! Le menu était trop limité et les portions étaient trop chères par rapport au prix ! La qualité était toutefois très bonne ! Bien qu'un ventilateur mobile ait été fourni, j'ai du mal à comprendre qu'il n'y ait pas de climatisation fixe dans la chambre ! L'ensemble de l'établissement n'est pas adapté aux personnes handicapées, car il n'y a pas d'ascenseurs (ni de monte-escaliers), les douches sont trop hautes et il n'y a pas de poignées, le robinet du lavabo était difficile à manipuler... Malgré tout cela, le personnel était aimable et serviable !
La chambre 101 n'était absolument pas insonorisée ! On entendait très bien les allées et venues des touristes et des véhicules, tant dans le couloir que dans le parking ! La musique dans le couloir était audible jusque dans la chambre ! L'horloge sonnait bruyamment tous les quarts d'heure, et ce, très tôt le matin jusqu'à tard le soir ! We had a really mixed stay as some parts of the experience were great and others weren’t. The good: The spa is incredible. Amazing facilities, good treatments and the cave pool is something I’ve never experienced in a spa before. The château itself is very beautiful and the outdoor areas are really relaxing and romantic. The breakfast buffet was great. Good food, lots of choice and lovely to eat in the courtyard. The food and presentation at dinner was good. The bad: The service was just not good at times. The staff seemed a bit too busy and overworked, and whilst they were trying their best, things would get forgotten. At dinner our wine never came but then appeared on the bill. We had to go inside to ask about the bill as no one had come to our table for so long. They said they would bring an allergy friendly amuse bouche and then we had to ask multiple times and it took a while. The menu at dinner is a little limiting, especially if you have allergies. If you stayed a couple of nights, you might run out of choices. Also, they ran out of cheese at 8:45pm, so we couldn’t have the dining option we wanted which made it more limiting. The room was a little bit shabby in areas with paint peeling etc. It was also extremely hot, so difficult to get much sleep. The view wasn’t a courtyard/garden view as advertised, we could just see the car park. Our late checkout was forgotten so we had to go to the desk in our robes, locked out.

Great 4-star home base for Battle of the Bulge. Very clean, AC worked fine, adequate electricity in the room, WiFi was good. Shower was fantastic; bed was Queen sized with a new mattress and nice sheets. Parking is around back, but it's covered from most rain. Breakfast was a bit pricey but the nicest that we had for the whole vacation. Excellent food and a wide assortment. This is a higher-end place, and the clientele show it. We saw some "celebrities" while there. Local grocery store, "Cactus," is fabulous to fill up on the things you need for your car. Water, snacks, etc. About a five minute drive, in Marnach. Very good "central base" for touring the Bulge. The chateau, itself, was part of a relatively minor skirmish but just down the road in Clervaux (a *must* see) the Americans really held up the Germans in a rather significant battle. Marnach, where Cactus is, also held the Germans up with strong resistance. That's the theme of the whole area, and Urspelt is a great location to start from. St. Vith, Malmedy, Bastogne (of course), Houffalize, etc. are all easy to reach and worth the trip. TV was good. Note that you can change the "sound" setting to get American shows in their native English, which opens up a lot to watch while you wind down. Highly recommended for couples. Highly.

Loved the property and the facilities. Restaurant felt overpriced for what it delivered. Breakfast was brilliant and highly recommended. Did not like the fact that there was limited air flow and air con in our room. Very hard to sleep in a family room without any airflow. Fans helped but let's just say, would expect a bit more than two fans whirring in the background to help us get some oxygen into the room.

À l’arrivée, la personne de l’accueil est très désagréable : on nous dit d’attendre parce que nous avons réservé sur hôtel.com et pas en direct. Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure : nous nous retrouvons avec une chambre minuscule à la salle-de-bain pourrie sous les toits. La TV ne fonctionne pas. Et bien sûr le personnel, toujours aussi détestable, ne veut rien entendre. La spa est tout petit et quand l’hôtel est plein c’est horrible, impossible de bouger. Et pour le repas la moitié des plats choisis n’étaient plus disponibles. Bref une horreur ! A fuir

Impossible de se doucher. Une fois l'eau allumé, cela ne s'evacue pas et va vers la chambre . Pas de solution donne sur le moment donc pas de douche surtout apres le spa ... Le restaurant, désolé mais je l'ai vecu un peut comme un calvaire. 45 minutes entre chaque plat. Les assiettes ont un gout de trop peut.

Wonderful hotel - the staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, the hotel and the rooms are spotless, very comfortable beds, nice roof top pool with a bar and courtyard seating area. It’s just a great place to stay. Highly recommend.

I’m not sure why this place has four stars. The property is beautiful, but the service is the restaurant is terrible. Waited nearly 2 hours for our food. It was not worth a 2 hour wait. Staff apart from front desk, don’t speak English. The extra bed in our room was unportable and squeaky. We only had hand towels in our bathroom and had to request larger ones. Because it had been warm that day, it would appear this property died not have proper ventilation, especially in the “ fine dining” restaurant and breakfast area. It was stuffy and hot. The breakfast is fine but again for a four star hotel- not amazing. There were flies by and on the food plus in our room. I would not spend the money to stay there again. Disappointing stay.

Check your bill !! Reception young girl with glasses in morning added 50 Euro to the bill. Lucky we noticed, then she would not believe us so took us 40mins in the carpark on their weak wifi to prove to her that we had clearly already paid for 3 people - sad price gouging or bad training, no apology of course - either way it destroyed our confidence in this place. (Man in evening was delightful though). Pros: Breakfast good. Cons: lots of Ants in room, No aircon or fans. Lots of Flies in room - as window had to be a tiny bit open as way too hot with no fans to sleep. Rock hard beds.

Stayed at Chateau d’Urspelt to kickoff a 2 week trip in Europe from America. From the second we turned into the hotel grounds (which lies upon renovated castle grounds), we were so impressed. We immediately had our jaws on the floor with the overall ambience and beauty of the resort, and enjoyed time in the library on the first afternoon. Major highlights that simply cannot be found elsewhere are the gorgeous spa equipped with a LARGE network of natural-looking caverns to swim through, with an amazing sauna, and the very cool underground cellar bar which was also larger than I thought. The second night a large senior tour group had been stopping through for dinner and a one night stay, and although the hotel was significantly busier than our first night, the restaurant staff treated us with care and individuality, and we were not bothered by any noise. In fact the Bar that night was a huge trip highlight! Big shoutout to Bruno and Moses for making us feel at home immediately

Et besøg på dette hotel bliver helt klart uforglemmeligt. Der er skønt at være, personalet skal have stor ros for at man føler sig velkommen, spaen med sin grotte er virkelig unik og en oplevelse i sig selv. Og at der er en cigar lounge for cigar entusiaster gør bestemt ikke besøget ringere. Kan klart anbefale dette hotel. Der er stor p plads både til el biler og alm biler og området omkring hotellet er fremragene. Maden på hotellet er også virkelig godt og smagfuldt. Eneste minus man lige skal være obs på er den relative korte tid man kan spise frokost i. 12-14. og med en spa dag hænger der ikke helt sammen da man fx har fra 10-15 imorgen timerne eller 15-19 i aften timerne. Ved mindre man tager en heldags spa 10-19.00, men bestemt ikke sidste gang jeg ligger min vej der forbi.

This is in an amazing place. Property is beautiful. Rooms are lovely. Restaurant is amazing. Food absolutely delicious and stunning. Staff lovely. Great for a getaway for two or just with family. Lovely heated pool. Spa. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Highly recommend. You would need a car to get here.

We saw some "celebrities" while there. Local grocery store, "Cactus," is fabulous to fill up on the things you need for your car. Water, snacks, etc. About a five minute drive, in Marnach. Very good "central base" for touring the Bulge. The chateau, itself, was part of a relatively minor skirmish but just down the road in Clervaux (a *must* see) the Americans really held up the Germans in a rather significant battle. Marnach, where Cactus is, also held the Germans up with strong resistance. That's the theme of the whole area, and Urspelt is a great location to start from. Wat een hotel. Heerlijke kamers, uitgebreid ontbijt en een geweldige spa. Wandelen door de prachtige omgeving is echt geweldig. De bar is in een soort van grot, gezellig om wat te drinken.

We loved our stay in a castle! The grounds were beautifully maintained, rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed spending time in the lounge as well the breakfast buffet in the morning. Would definitely love to come back and spend more time here.

Excellent stay! Enjoyed comfortable room, spa facilities and breakfast. Restaurant on premises is very beautiful but disappointing and overpriced menu. Need to hire a new chef and less but more attentive staff.

Impossible de se doucher. Une fois l'eau allumé, cela ne s'evacue pas et va vers la chambre . Pas de solution donne sur le moment donc pas de douche surtout apres le spa ... Le restaurant, désolé mais je l'ai vecu un peut comme un calvaire. 45 minutes entre chaque plat. Les assiettes ont un gout de trop peut.

Das Hotel war traumhaft. Services und Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, super Frühstück mit einer großen Auswahl. Essen im Restaurant war super lecker, tolles Ambiente und hervorragender Services. Die Auswahl an vegetarischen und vegane Speisen war jedoch sehr eingeschränkt, so dass wir dieses Angebot nur einmal nutzen konnten.

I’m not sure why this place has four stars. The property is beautiful, but the service is the restaurant is terrible. Waited nearly 2 hours for our food. It was not worth a 2 hour wait. Staff apart from front desk, don’t speak English. The extra bed in our room was unportable and squeaky. We only had hand towels in our bathroom and had to request larger ones. Because it had been warm that day, it would appear this property died not have proper ventilation, especially in the “ fine dining” restaurant and breakfast area. It was stuffy and hot. The breakfast is fine but again for a four star hotel- not amazing. There were flies by and on the food plus in our room. I would not spend the money to stay there again. Disappointing stay.

Mostly lovely, just a few odd areas for improvement - having smoking stations right by the spa doors and hotel side entrance, and outdoor pool isn’t something that brings joy! The outdoor bar closing at 6pm in mid summer is just silly, forcing guests and staff to use the cellar bar seems another strange decision. The food quality in the restaurant is disappointing, it feels like mass catering done badly, but served as though it’s Michelin star quality. Otherwise our room, the pool, the breakfast,the peace and quiet all lovely, and the staff mostly very professional and friendly.

Vi ankommer til stedet sent, og vil gerne benytte os af pool og grotten til en svømmetur efter aftensmaden. Vi havde bare ikke læst det med småt, om at der ikke var åbent til senere end klokken 20:00 i den almindelige pool og klokken 19:00 i grotten. Plus at Grotten havde kostet os ekstra 60 euro for at få adgang. Der for ikke fulde stjerner, da vi virkelig mangler grotten og poolen som aftensoplevelse.

Looks lovely when youre booking it, and it is a nice place but there were a couple of problems on arrival. Make sure you ask for air conditioning when you check in, or you wont automatically get a room with this. The on site restaurant looks lovely, but the service is TERRIBLE! Having waited almost 2 hours for a meal, the staff were rude and unapologetic. Beware, as there isnt anywhere else close for a meal, so they have the monopoly. They clearly need more staff in the kitchen, maybe it was a bad day, but check reviews on this.

The chateau, was a wonderful place to stay and the spa and massage was fantastic. My only criticism was that the piped music was annoying and piece and quite would be fine. The other we stayed 2 nights and the menu was the same both nights and with only 5 choice on the main course you would expect an alternate menu. Buy said that would visit again.
