Paskins Town House

The room was very small for 3 of us staying for 2 nights and getting ready was a tight squeeze, we had only abit of toilet roll when arriving and when we went to boil the kettle it was very dirty there was already tea bags in there, and it was very dusty on the window shelves and we was put right up the top of stairs with a tight squeeze getting up there with our bags and no help around

We arrived after the reception had closed but I had phoned beforehand to advise and all details were left so that we could gain access easily.It was quite difficult to find a parking space in the local streets even with a permit.Our room was clean and adequate for a two night stay.Staff were prompt and polite at addressing any queries/problems.

Lovely art deco property. Made to feel welcome on arrival despite being 15 minutes early. Parking was a problem due to the height restrictions in the nearest car park (and most local car parks. Close to amenities. Room itself - no cold water coming out of the tap. Bed made daily. Shower across the landing had black mould in the shower but was clean otherwise. On arrival we were advised we could call for assistance but on our departure day we called to let them know we were leaving and thank staff but no one arrived.

It's quite good for my stay. I stayed in a room in the top floor. The staircase is a bit narrow, so you will find it more convenient if you don't have a big suitcase. The location is great. It's close to attractions in Brighton. I parked my car in the main street and just walked to the attractions.

After check in I didn't see any staff during my stay. Shower tiles were mouldy. The narrow stair case was a killer.

I had a sweet little room with all facilities. Everything was clean and tidy and the welcome was friendly. It was quiet I didn't see anybody at all while I was there and sat in the lovely communal lounge in delicious solitude. It is an older building so there was some creaking of floor boards from the room above Very close to walk to Kemp Town which I loved. Such interesting shops, so colorful with all sorts of independent eating places. I had a good breakfast at the Lanes Hotel on the sea front at the end of Charlotte street as unfortunately the recommended café where I was looking forward to eat had shut down. Overall I had a lovely short break.

We stayed for a long weekend and had no problems or issues at all. The guest house provided parking vouchers for £15 for 24 hour parking on most of the local streets, we parked outside the property. The room was clean and plenty big enough for two, with lots of tea and coffee provided. Everything is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance, the pier, town, bars and restaurants. Perfect!

Nice place, we arrived late, but staff were really helpful and gave me the code to get in and left the key for us, they also keft a parking permit on a sale or return basis, which we didnt end up using. It was really helpful to have the option though. Would happily stay here again.

This review will be based on preference and therefore might be different for other travellers. The photos make the property look very quirky with a Gatsby style about it. I only had a one night booking and needed to leave early in the a.m, therefore I had no use of any facilities other than the room. Staff phoned prior to my visit and were very helpful and friendly making sure I knew check in arrangements. My room was on the top floor of the adjacent building you do not want this room if you have a lot of luggage or don’t like tight spaces to climb. I personally felt the room hadn’t been used in a while as it smelt a bit damp (doesn’t cost a lot to have a plug in air freshener) and was also a little dusty. The single glazed sash windows look lovely but street noise is like it’s in the room next to you (lucky it wasn’t a weekend). The shower needs a shower pump, it is less powerful than someone pouring a cup of water on your head. And there was no storage space to put a washbag (surely you could put up one shelf to assist with this?) There is limited parking on the street outside the property but I easily found a spot at the bottom of the road near the sea road.

A good value room with clean linen and a comfortable bed, plus your own toilet and shower, thats all i ask for and got. Nice and close to town centre everything in walking distance all ok 🙂. Faults only the shower had some mould vut a tiny amount otherwise alm ok.

I thought the room was nice but somewhat small. The shower had really low water pressure which made it difficult to shower. Also, it was very loud with people talking and walking up and down the stairs. The TV was too small and didn’t have enough channels. Sink was very dirty when I had gotten in.

When I arrived the host was welcoming and showed me to my room, which was clean and had a1930's decor and had plenty of space to put clothes and was well equipped. On the positive it was quiet and very close to shops and the beach. However I was there for 5 night's and the room didn't get cleaned once properly, I did ask for clean towels which I received however the dirty ones were left in the room and not taken away. In the reception area no-one was ever there personally I wouldn't stay there again.

Lovely stay - room was clean and bright and spacious, and pleasantly cool despite the hot weather. Plenty of tea and milk, and the bottled water and biscuits were appreciated! The decor throughout the hotel is fab, and the location is so convenient for the beach and Kemptown. Would definitely return!

My 3rd stay and I was disappointed. The cleanliness let it down.. I had to wipe down the surfaces. The shower curtain was absolutely covered in mold. There was a stain on the mattress under my pillow which I wouldn't have noticed if the sheet has been covering it. Really needs a mattress protector. Kettle was caked in limescale and the switch was broken. Fan was caked in dust. Extractor fan caked in dust. It was noisy from slamming doors etc. Unfortunately I won't be back again.

I used to love staying here great breakfast well maintained and clean. Sadly now no breakfast from the ripped curtains to poorly fitting windows and sealing and grouting it felt neglected. Blinds and windowsills were dirty

Very friendly greeting from Charlotte on arrival, she sorted the parking and gave us some useful info about the area. Great place to stay for one night. If we had been staying longer I would have needed a bigger room, I booked a large double room which wasn't that big, but it was good value for money and we had a sea view (if you sit in the cute bay window and look right!) I liked the quirky décor which in our room was more of a nod to Art Deco rather than a full blown interior design. I don't think the room we had is shown on the hotels.com website or the Paskins Townhouse one. One thing I could definitely have used was a mirror in the room to do my make-up, it was tricky trying to do it in the bathroom over the sink while my boyfriend was showering. Comfortable bed so we slept well and the room was very clean. Decent towels and some small toiletries provided. I would definitely stay here again as the location is great but I would book a larger, fancier room!

Poor lightening. No mobile network cover with very poor Wifi. Shower head is hazar, dropped over my head 3 times in 2 days.

Spent a couple of nights on a solo trip to Brighton stopping at the Paskins Townhouse as a change from going to a chain hotel. Townhouse is a couple of minutes from the sea front (could see the sea from the window) and about 10mins walk from the main Brighton Pier. Townhouse itself had a gothic type feel to it with the 'Deluxe' room I opted for overlooking the Main Street on the first floor. Room was spacious with a large flat screen TV, while room had an old world feel to it, it was relaxing, large bed was comfortable. With the seafront at the bottom of the street, at the other end round the corner at the top of the street is a road with pubs and various cuisine restaurants on it. As well as the Pier being 10mins walk away, the Royal Pavillion and excellent 'The Lanes' shopping and entertaining area about 15mins walk so all close enough for a leisurely walk out. I arrived in Brighton by Train and having not been to the city before It was a walk of about 20/30mins to get to the Townhouse so everything is within easy walking distance so a good location to explore.

This is a really good value option for anyone visiting Brighton. The rooms are compact but the bed was very comfortable. The owner is friendly and sorts things out very quickly when you check in. It is also in easy walking distance of the Concorde 2 music venue. So handy if you are seeing a gig there.

Yes shops, bars, restaurants nearby, the room clean with all the facilities you would require from iron & ironing board, plenty tea/coffee, water shower gel, shampoo. Also fast wifi i was in the small double which was so peaceful and hardly heard any noise from others at the property. Charlotte was lovely and wouldn't hesitate in booking here if im in the area again.

My room was just the right size. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom though small was with nice not water in the shower. (the ventilation for the bathroom didn't seem to activate when I was there, but I'm sure that will get fixed soon, I just opened the window so it didn't bother me) The staff was very pleasant and helpful when they could. My room was on the second floor but stairs don't bother me. It was fairly quiet during the week. The walls weren't the thickest but that's to be expected I think. Short walk to the pier and short walk to a lot of stores. This was perfect for me, and I personally will definitely stay here again next time if I get the opportunity

Excellent value for money. Lovely location in Kemptown. Clean room (with plenty tea and coffee - a rarity these days). Minor complaint (but really minor, given the positives) is that the reception is mostly unstaffed and the phone number not always answered. Would def stay again.

They were very friendly. I lost a bag on my way to the hotel and the nice woman at the desk immediately called the police for me to see if they had it.

Well-equipped and comfortable rooms. I love this place when I'm in Brighton. The staff are all super-friendly and helpful. It is in the heart of Kemptown (but not the noisy part) with very easy access to the town centre, the beach, great restaurants and shops. Recommended.

Don’t expect anything beyond a clean small room to sleep. If you are aligned with this view, this is the right place. No service, no breakfast, good location.

The website of Paskins state that it is bed and breakfast but the desk person told me that there is no breakfast included. That was disappointing because I saw dinning room pictures and I was happy about it. It will be good if Paskins clearly indicate on theirs and Hotel.com site that who will get the breakfast and who will not. I felt being as correct information was not provided.

Good location for walking to the Sea Lanes, Naturist Beach and Kemptown. But far enough away to be quiet. It has a midly Art Deco style that is highlighted by the pictures. They have various deals with local restaurants for discounts on Breakfast.

Hotel with no breakfast ? Room ok, windows don’t open ? Clean ish but needs a deep clean Ok for one night No atmosphere anymore as just a room and no hotel services, such a shame I’d probably go again for location. Polite and helpful man at arrival who gave the door code.
