Flandria Hotel Gent Centrum

This hotel is in a Good location, making it easy to explore tourist attractions by walk. The staff at the reception was very kind and helpful, even though we arrived before the official check-in time. We were also able to check in early, which was appreciated. Since the hotel is quite old, some areas seemed to be in need of renovation and repair.. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room, so we had to ventilate it for a while. Overall, if you're planning a short trip to Ghent, Belgium, this hotel would be a quite good choice.

Excellent location, helpful staff, very good breakfast. Not very clean, and needs maintenance.

No dan aseos las habitaciones durante los 6 días que nos hospedamos, si dan toallas Limpias a solicitud

Smerige kamer waar de badkamer al 10 jaar geleden aan vervanging toe was. Tegels waren kapot en de wc deed het niet. Ook zat er flink schimmel aan het plafond.

Badkamer super verouderd en vies! Niet schoon!

Fitted bottom sheets would have avoided us having to get up in the night to remake our beds. I was disappointed to find mould on the side of the bed nearest the bathroom when I had to refit the sheet in the night. Could housekeeping please check that all lights were working! Two bulbs in the bedroom were not working nor the main light in the bathroom. The bathroom cabinet light was not sufficient. One guest staying in the room could not reach the switch for it! The carpet was very grotty! If breakfast is offered at 8 o’clock, it would be appreciated that all is ready and fresh AT eight !

Het personeel was vriendelijk, we hadden de "luxe" kamer met eigen badkamer en wc. Op de kamer op zich weinig aan te merken het is tenslotte een 1 ster hotel, alleen de tv had geen signaal en wifi was erg slecht. Bedden werden wel weer netjes opgemaakt maar ze vergaten het volle afvalzakje mee te nemen en lag gewoon nog naast de afvalemmertje. De badkamer was vies, de douche kop had schimmel/roest aan de douche kop, de tegels op de vloer waren niet schoon, randjes en richeltje veel opgehoopt stof en vuiligheid. Rondom de kranen veel opgehoopt vuil. Ondanks dat het een 1 ster hotel is hoort het wel gewoon schoon te zijn en de badkamer was verre van schoon.

Propreté OK mais point à améliorer pas de ménage pendant nos 3 jours. Établissement (nouveau propriétaire) en cours de travaux donc amélioration future et progressive des chambres etc... L' accueil des gérants est très très agréable, ils sont très très très gentils.(de bon conseil) Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet établissement et les Gantois sont très agréables et jolie ville. De plus l'emplacement de l'hôtel est en plein centre ville avec parking payant à proximité. L'hôtel n'est pas du tout cher vu sa situation. L'accueil est top 😊😁👍

The location was convenient to the old town, the hotel seemed to be getting updated throughout, with new 43" TV (never watched as too much to see in Ghent), new trim and treatments. It was definitely a good value mini holiday. Just remember all the twists and turns going from and back to the Hotel. Only minutes to the churches, town hall and the belfry and plenty of restaurants.

Chambre spacieuse, propre avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la cathédrale de Gand. Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Très bonne situation géographique. Seule la fermeté des matelas est à améliorer selon moi.

A hospedagem oferece ótima localização, quarto espaçoso e bem ventilado, camas confortáveis com enxoval novo e limpo, toalhas macias e banheiro amplo com produtos de higiene disponíveis. O chuveiro fica dentro da banheira, A equipe foi extremamente educada, atenciosa e prestativa. Como pontos de melhoria, destaco a ausência de tomadas próximas à cama, iluminação noturna fraca e presença de mosquitos. No geral, uma estadia muito positiva. Recomendo

Lo único bueno la señora de recepción,fue muy amable.Todo lo demás fatal. Nuestra habitación estaba en la 2°planta, había que subir 2 tramos de escaleras de caracol a cual peor, estrechas y empinadas. Para subir y bajar con las maletas muy mal. Tengo que decir que la señora de recepción en el check-in subió la maleta grande y es de agradecer. En la habitación solo había 1 enchufe y estaba lejos de la mesita de noche. La camas tienen un somier de hierro endeble que se mueve mucho, creia que se iba a romper por algun sitio. La cama doble es un somier doble pero con 2 colchones individuales que se hunden mucho por el centro. Nos levantamos con un dolor de espalda impresionante. Muchos mosquitos (en diciembre), tuvimos que ir matando los que veíamos.No entendemos de donde salen... El suelo de la habitación se hunde, no se como está construido la verdad, es muy raro sentir como el suelo esta blando por muchas partes. Por la noche se fue la luz de todo el hotel, esperamos unos minutos y al ver que no venía, salí a preguntar. Era una averia(que estaban solucionando). Como tardaban, volví a salir y al final al cabo de un rato llegó la luz. Le pregunté al chico, si podria volver a pasar , ya que duermo con cpap y tenia que enchufarlo y si se va la luz es un problema para mi, y me dijo que nunca habia pasado. Luego el chico me dijo que habia visto que en mi habitación se consumia mucha luz que sería de mi máquina. Pues solo tenia la cpap y 1 movil cargando."Hotel" mediocre.

Eenvoudige accomodatie gunstig gelegen in het centrum op loopafstand van alle bezienswaardigehden en restaurants. Kamers is wel gedateerd en kamers zijn aan onderhoud toe. Badkamer erg verouderd, muggenhor die ontbreekt, bij warm weer wordt het erg warm wat je niet oplost met een ventilator en los van dat de bedden schoon beddengoed hadden hadden we toch veel bultjes (bedwanten??). Al met al een gunstige locatie voor een stedentrip en vriendelijk personeel alleen is een opknapbeurt geen overbodige luxe maar daarvoor heeft het nu ook waarschijnlijk een rating van 1 ster

The Flandria is well-located for a few nights walking around (and drinking) in central Ghent. It is off the noisy strip, but just a 2-3 minute walk to the Belfry (and the rest of the pubs, sights). The building isn't the newest, but our room -- and partiuclarily our bed -- was clean and in good condition. For the price, we have no complaints. Would recommend if you spend most of the day out and just use the place to crash & clean up.

The photos did not reflect the general condition of the room. The room was clean but it did not match the photos at all. I was expecting a more modern room, but instead it seemed like it was built years ago without renovation. We also had a sort of loft where you had to climb up some narrow stairs to get to the bed inside the room, which I was not aware of while booking. Staff was friendly and answered questions that we had. Location was central and we could walk to the center in a few minutes.

It was a lovely old building with the wonderful characteristics that come with such buildings. What I didn’t like was the triple bed room was not at all as shown in the picture. It was a lot smaller and the window was tiny.

Un sitio muy acogedor, sin lujos pero con lo esencial. El chico de recepción sumamente atento y agradable. Muy contenta con este alojamiento y su buena relación calidad precio. A 3 minutos del centro donde hay de todo. Ofrecen también desayuno.

The Flandria Hotel staff were very pleasant. We were given a nice map and guide to the city of Ghent. The room was basic and pleasant. The building has an amusing maze-like structure of stairways and hallways. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Gent-Dampoort train station and only about a five minute walk to the central part of the scenic old town with shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. We would definitely like to stay again at the Hotel Flandria when visiting Ghent in the future.

La struttura non corrisponde assolutamente a quanto dichiarato. Camere indecenti sia per la dimensione, che per la pulizia inesistente. Priva di ogni comfort e male odorante! Inoltre non è stato inviato il codice per accedere fuori orario reception e abbiamo rischiato di dormire in strada!

Chambre impeccable. Personnel très sympathique et serviable.

Kleine kamers (heel andere foto's op de site) mogen een update krijgen.badkamer was niet echt proper. Aan de deuromlijsting van de badkamer een scherpe kant en een deur die maar half open gaat door het bed dat er staat. Met gevolg een gat in mijn kleed door er achter te blijven hangen. Zaterdag ingecheckt, geen personeel meer op zaterdag na 16u voordeuren die niet sluiten. Wel een goed standaard ontbijt, daar niet op aan te merken.

Friendly, helpful and positive staff! Their English was very good, and they always met you with a smile and willingness to engage in conversation. The room was clean, and perfect for my kind of travel. Will definitely be back again

Good price / room ratio. Slightly outdated, and somewhat loud indoors. Perfectly situated in the center!

Fantastic location within easy walking distance of the centre. Hotel staff so friendly and helpful and with the amazing decor of the hotel, it felt like 'home' immediately. Comfortable and with excellent breakfast too. Such a wonderful stay. Thanks so much.

I would come again. Little old, which you can see as retro/vintage. But all facilties where ok and clean. Beds ok, breakfast standard buffet.

Great value for money in central Ghent but set expectations accordingly as the hotel is fairly basic. This was fine for us as I had researched it and was not expecting the Ritz but others may find it basic. The bathroom was not the best (shower base felt a bit insecure) and the common areas needed a good vacuuming. Ishmael(sp?) was the lovely Gentleman on duty at all times and was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Great breakfast too for a reasonable price. Ghent is the best kept secret in Europe and to be a five minute walk from the centre of the city for a very reasonable price was perfect for us.

Nous sommes arrivés à 17h mais l'accueil était fermé. Je n'avais pas vu un mail arrivé très tardivement expliquant où trouver la clé. Il me semble avoir pris un deux étoiles mais nous sommes arrivés devant un une étoile. C'est très vieillot mais tout est propre. Les Velux de la chambre sont complètement insalubre et camouflé par le store. Salut une partie de 15 cm du chauffage était fonctionnel . Sinon c'est soigné et confortable. Le petit-déjeuner était très correct et l'accueil sympathique. Le rapport qualité-prix me paraît mal évalué . Emplacement parfait en plein centre. Nous n'avions pas de grandes attentes, mais quand même des rénovations serait à prévoir. Je recommande cet hôtel si vous chercher à être en plein centre et à ne pas payer 200 € la nuit. Il faut alors accepter la simplicité et l'imperfection des lieux qui comporte malgré tout un certains charme

The man who greeted us was very nice. Hotel is really run down and basic. It seems like some rooms have been upgraded but others not. Breakfast was nice. Location pretty good. Easy walking to centre.
