Motel Capri

Hotel was nice everything was clean. Only thing I would complain about is uncomfortable pillows and the elevator not working. It's hard carrying heavy luggage up a couple flight of stairs. The coffee with the breakfast items were nice in the morning.

WiFi was terrible other than that great place close to many things. Thank you Motel Capri. Please fix this WiFi issue… other than that almost 5 stars!

From the moment we got there, the room had a strong, musty smell that never went away. The floors and lamps were covered in dust. We started getting stuffy noses and itchy eyes within a few hours of being in the room.

The elevator and wifi did not work. The sofa bed's matress was in very bad condition. The breakfast was poor

The stay was ok, the room wasn't cleaned properly, no wifi in the room and the lift was out of order. Breakfast provided isn't much and no room to eat. Good location to get to the Fisherman Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. The staff were ok, but could have been more accommodating.

This place is a good low cost option for visiting San Francisco. The Hotel itself is average, the elevator does not work and neither did the AC/heater in my room. The free parking and location are the best part.

The motel was clean and quiet. Parking is not great it’s first come first serve. Check in was at 3pm. And our room was not ready when we arrived. However they promptly cleaned it while we waited. Breakfast is nothing special it cereal, coffee, juice and toast. Elevator is broken to access the second and third floors.

Negatives: the elevator was being worked on so we had to climb the stairs. The TV wasn't working so a handyman came to the room and after about an hour, got it working. There was major roadwork being done behind the motel that began at 7 am and was SUPER loud. The rug in the room was old and dirty looking, the towels were super thin so needed to ask for extra wash clothes and bath mats. The drapes were. Coming loose from the window frame so couldn't close all the way without a lot of wrangling. No tissues and super cheap smelling soaps. So called breakfast was plastic wrapped pastry, cold cereal, very watered down juice and bitter coffee. Positives: very convenient location to walk to restaurants and shopping. Relatively safe area, front desk and staff were congenial. Free parking (although break ins are a risk in SF) but spaces are tight. Reasonable rates for SF. If you decide to stay, ask about the road work and elevator if that might be something that would bother you.

Very friendly staff and okay breakfast. Only problem the elevator didn't work and my husband has a walker, so had to climb stairs first night until they moved us to first floor.

Check-in was smooth and fast and the staff very friendly. The room was nice and clean and great for what I wanted it for, to sleep. The parking was iffy since it seemed like there is not enough spaces but we got a spot and there were plenty of places nearby to walk to without losing my spot. Good location and free parking, we totally would come back here.

There was boogers on the wall, the bed protector looked liked there was blood stains on it. The drawers were broken no handle, smelled like mildew when I walked in. The entry way to the bathroom was rusted

You walk in, and the room is CLEAN. Not just not dirty, but really, really clean. Every is in excellent condition, including bedding and linens. The "continental breakfast" is pretty sparse, but it kept body and soul together. A really excellent hotel that I would not hesitate to recommend.

Very nice staff that work here and wonderful continental breakfast. The room was dirty though, the bed spread had stains, smelled musky, the shower had a huge hole in it which I put a washer in to cover, tv would not work and the plugs kept blowing a fuse. I liked the closeness of the ice machine and restaurant Brazen Head across the street was delicious!

Love this place. Always very clean. Great location and extremely quiet. Parking is free . It’s an older motel, so it’s not unusual for the elevator to be down. But it’s not that inconvenient to use the stairs . Been staying here several years now. Always the first place I try and book whenever I want a nice stay in the City.

We payed for the $242 a night for the suite which was extremely dirty, there were bugs, old socks on the ground, the curtains were torn, the chairs were filthy and the bedding had stains on them or were unwashed.

I had a good experience, it’s in a good area of the city, I felt safe here and it was pretty quite as well which was a plus. Good location to be able to walk or ride a bike down to the piers. The shower had quite a bit of mold in it but the rest of the room was clean and comfortable. Can’t beat it for the price and has free parking!

Rooms was clean, staff friendly, 1.5 miles from Pier 39 and Fishermans warf. Good room for the price. Just needed it for 1 night, since my son had appt at UCSF 2 consecutve days and its a 3 1/2hr drive for us. Neighborhood was quiet. The breakfast was a little skimpy just toast, danishes, cereal, coffee and juice. Would have liked some fruit, even a banana. overall a good stay, would stay again if we need to stay overnight.

Our room was very small. The curtains would not close which caused us not to sleep well as the light from outside show through. The towels were threadbare. Parking is complimentary which was a plus.

Was a nice motel at a reasonable price. Rooms were clean and the location was great.

Room was old and run down.

Mattress was as old as the hotel and caved in on the middle. Breakfast did not start till 8 and it was a mad rush to get what was there. Parking and location was good, long walk to the Peir 39 area but doable.

Walking distance to restaurants and bar. Free parking. I did not like the noise from next room.

Nice location, close to everything. But wi-fi is too slow or it doesn’t work and elevator is broken. Very reasonable for the location, rooms are nice and clean and included breakfast!!!’…old looking building, but it’s nice though.

I didn\'t really know what to expect when I booked this motel, but was pleasantly surprised. It is an older motel in downtown San Francisco, so you can\'t compare it to the big highrise hotels overlooking the bay, but the price difference reflects that. This is an older (vintage?) Motel that is kept up very well by the friendly staff. The room was surprisingly clean for it\'s age, which I greatly appreciate. The bed sheets and blankets were all white which I also appreciate knowing they are washed and cleaned unlike the colored bed spreads at other hotels. The rooms are on the small side if you have 4 people in a 2 bed room as we did, but certainly manageable. One of the biggest perks is the included parking, which is rare in this city, especially near the wharf. Most other places were charging up to $60 to park on top of their outrageous rates. We were able to walk down and back to the piers each day, but there are also plenty of other travel options if your not up for walking. The one disappointing part of our stay was the included "breakfast". It is a bare minimum so they can include free breakfast in their postings. The breakfast is in a little room with a standing only bar to eat at. The breakfast consists of cheap white bread for toast, 4 types of dry cereal, and some prepackaged pastrys (snack cakes) along with a coffee machine and a juice machine with orange and apple juice. There may have been oatmeal packets too, I don\'t recall, we only bothered to go

Great property, felt safe in the area. Hotel is painted in retro Colours and has the old school vibes. Room was spacious and the bathroom was vintage and awesome. Not a lot for breakfast but enough for you to start your day. Would stay again.

Really impressed with the Motel Capri! Nice room with a huge bed. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were tiny, just 4 cushions and no actual bed pillows. The bathroom was great, the shower had good pressure although the height could not be adjusted and it was a bit short for my partner.

No elevator, loud all night and morning, breakfast was just cereal and terrible coffee. Pillows were unbelievable flat and they could only find 1 extra for our room (4 of us). The room smelled terrible. I thought it was going to make me sick. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Honestly, its an older motel so the walls are a bit thin. I woke up due to the people next door being loud but for the price WITH PARKING cant be beat. I would stay again without a second guess

Cranky front desk person. Elevator did not work. Staff refused to help me bring up suitcases up the stairs. Noisy at times. Only good thing about this place was location in the Marina, but would go to other options in the area.

The front desk and management staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. They went above and beyond to meet our needs.

The property itself is charming in a retro way. The French style bistro/steak house across the street has a great bar and good food. The real upside for Motel Capri is proximity to the restaurants, bars, shopping, and people watching on Union Street. For out of towners, this is the “good part” of San Francisco: safe, clean, walkable. The downside is the beds are old, uncomfortable, squeaky… ;) And our room was not cleaned once despite being gone all day. When I went to speak to the front desk about the problem, they were dismissive and unhelpful.

Great location. Checking in was quick and friendly Bed was comfortable. Disappointed the lift was not working so they accommodated us and changed us from the top floor thanks Quiet area but not far from places of interest and to the bus routes

Unfortunately, we ended up staying at a different property during our trip to San Francisco. However, it was an absolute pleasure get to know the property manager, Nick, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I will definitely look forward to staying here on our next visit to the city.

Very well kept, cutesy little motel in a nice area. Close to the bridge & some popular bars. I came here with my gf and we loved it, especially for the price. I liked it so much I stayed there with some friends 2 days later. A great motel, great location, clean & affordable. It seemed like this place was family owned, and everyone we made contact with at the desk was extremely nice & helpful.

This wouldn't be my first choice for my stay in the City when I come again. This property is very convenient, and if you were parking, it is super easy to access and safe. However, the property itself is dated, not well cared for, and the front desk staff are not friendly or helpful. I arrived to find the elevator completely out of service (and I was on the third floor, with no one to help with my large bags), the toilet seat completely cracked (and looked like it had been for a while), the furniture in disrepair, multiple wall issues (broken, cracked, etc), and the bed with four teeny tiny pillows. This hotel only has it location going for it, and everything else it is leaving until it completely falls apart.

Was hoping for ADA room on ground level. I think I requested it when I booked. Ended up on 3rd floor with disabled husband and no elevator. The desk guy did carry my heavy bag up for me.

Motel Capri is great value for its location. It's off the main roads so is lovely and quiet, close to great bars and restaurants. It's about a 20 minute easy walk down to the popular Ferry Marketplace or a 10 minute uber drive. And important to me - the beds are super comfy! Plenty of free on-site parking which was good for us as we had hired a car for a few days.

Motel Capri is quiet, convenient, and in the best area! I love Cow Hollow- plus you can easily get to Pier 39, Chrissy Field, and the Percidio- my favorite spots in SF.

An older but well cared for motel which had a older retro look to it. Loved staying here. Real convenient to area attractions. Felt safe and its was nice and quiet. Would defiantly stay here again if back in San Francisco..

Clean, comfortable, safe, great location, free parking and no frills at a great price. Walking distance to Fort Mason, Presidio, and lots of good restaurant options a couple blocks away. I'll definitely stay here again.

I rated this motel 5 stars because I felt that you got value for your money. It looked quite dated from the outside but the interior nice. I had a king room on the 3rd floor and I had to walk up 2 flights of stairs but it was not a problem for me. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were suitable for a 2 night stay. Breakfast was provided but I didn't have it so I cannot comment on it. I was able to walk to the marina area and Fisherman's Wharf, plus there were other places to eat within walking distance of the motel.I would definitely stay here again.

Have stayed here 8 times or more when coming to see bands. Free parking, dining down the street, convenience store 1 street down, and staff is friendly. Will continue to be our go to when visiting.

Free parking. Nice location; not too far from fishermans wharf. Didn't have to walk too far to bus lines. Bathroom was clean with antique tile. Room smelled musty. Room was recently painted. Outside of hotel still under renovation. Elevator not working. Must have reasonable expectations. Old hotel; not the marriot. We would stay there again.

This is a charming older property in a great location. Our room on the 3rd floor had peach bathroom fixtures, a skylight in the bathroom, and beautiful wood ceiling in the main room. We slept great and it was quiet and comfortable in the room. Breakfast was mediocre with no good protein options.

The motel needs some renovations and repairs. The elevator is out of service, and probably has been for a while. The breakfast area is cramped, no room to sit down and even stand. The breakfast is very poor.

The motel location is great, the parking is very convenient. Other things are generally okay. But the breakfast would be negative. No tables and chairs. No hot food.

The breakfast is a joke. The air conditionner wasn't working. You hear the toilet flush for all the rooms near. The personnel wasn't nice.

The included breakfast was very nice. The room to get your breakfast was very clean and had a good amount of options. Affordable and in a convenient place. Parking was super easy. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends.

Had a room over the lobby carport area and it was spacious. Parking spots are narrow but they let us keep car there until early afternoon for no additional charge so that was a huge plus. While breakfast was standing room only at a high counter there was plentiful food. They served white bread for toast, 3 types of cereal, instant oatmeal, and danishes. Orange juice, apple juice and coffee plus Stash tea packets were offered. (There was no fruit or protein other than milk) Hotel was cute and clean, beds are a bit on the hard side but fine. Bathrooms are retro. Great value and would recommend.
