George & Dragon

I had booked a room at the George and Dragon as I have always done for the last few years when working at Oulton Park. Admittedly they did notify me a few weeks ago that I was now staying at the pub across the road which they had now acquired, but to be honest it wasn't as ideal. Picky I know. But having to check in at the George and Dragon to then walk across to collect key and be shown to your room etc is a minor point, but similarly all meals were back at the George and Dragon. The Red Lion being just a pub is considerably noisier and with the room being just above the bar, things didn't quieten down till done 11:30. Yes the room has obviously been recently refurbished, but the whole stay is much better when staying at the George and Dragon.

Such a lovely and welcoming pub and staff, would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area. Also the breakfast is banging.

Really lovely place to stay, our room was really cosy and welcoming, staff were great and we ate in the pub and the food was also lovely and good value for money. Would definitely recommend and return.

The George and Dragon was ideal, everyone very friendly but our room was opposite the hotel. The room itself was clean and in good order but so hot that we couldnt and didnt sleep all night. It was extremely noisy and the small lobby and stairs up to our room was filthy!! This was s real shame as the managers were very welcoming as were the bar staff.
