We checked into the room and was hit with a smell that could be described as burnt plastic in both the sitting room and bedroom. We had a wedding to get to, so we opened the windows turned in the air conditioner and fan, and hoped for the best. It did not work. Both rooms still smelled when we returned. The sitting room was not as bad, but the tv didn’t work in there. The bedroom smelled so bad I woke up with a headache. There was also the faint smell of cigarettes, even though it was a no smoking room. The only saving grace for this place was the one friendly attendant at the breakfast buffet. I will never return here or to any other Ayer’s. I told the attendant at check out and he shrugged his shoulders. Worst hotel on Hotel.com ever.

I've been here before. Hotel and room are very clean. I always loved the outdoor seatting with the big fire pit. Breakfast is very good as well, but the coffee doesn't taste good, too watery! Also the staff at the front desk need to smile!! Both, the lady we met on Monday evening at check-in and the gentleman on Tuesday morning at the front desk do not smile. This is customer service and when customer service poeple don't smile it feels weird. On the other hand the ladies and the one gentleman who were helping with the breakfast were smiley and very nice.

The beds were firm and the mattress in the pull-out bed needs to be replaced. The air conditioner was near the window and cooled one side of the room really well, but it didn't cool the area near the door/pull-out bed well enough. The room was clean and spacious.
