Great location, super clean and nice.

We had a wonderful time in Washington, D.C. with our kids, grandkids, niece, and nephew. The Wilson/Shaw was the perfect refuge after busy days of sightseeing. The owners clearly take great pride in maintaining a spotless, comfortable, and welcoming property.The four-level layout worked exceptionally well for our group, providing plenty of privacy while still offering comfortable gathering spaces where we could spend time together. The neighborhood is highly walkable, with several dining options and a grocery store conveniently nearby.While there is no dedicated parking space, we found the parking system easy and convenient once we became familiar with it. Although we used our rental vehicle frequently, Uber was also a very cost-effective option for trips to the National Mall and the White House.The two kitchens were well equipped and featured newer appliances, something we have found lacking in some other vacation rentals. This made preparing meals easy and convenient for our large family group.All of the beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the linens and towels were of excellent quality, adding to the overall comfort of our stay.I cannot speak highly enough about Stephen and Ivan as hosts. They were friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Communication was easy from start to finish, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.We highly recommend their property!

This was a lovely property with more than enough space for my family. We loved the location and the privacy it offered and the amenities (coffee/tea) were much appreciated. Having the two separate living spaces and kitchens was very nice and there was plenty of room when we all got together but also space for each of us to have a private bedroom. I would definitely recommend this house if you have a large family to accommodate.

Our stay at the District Cottage was wonderful! Definitely the best stay we’ve had in the DC area. Location was safe and clean. House was well stocked with thoughtful touches. The hosts were extremely accommodating, helpful and responsive. We used the baby pack and play without issue. Would highly recommend the Distric Cottage and hope to stay here again.
