The Tribe is beautifully located in the Gifiri district convenient to great shopping and amazing restaurant. I am especially excited that they now have the Kaya Spa onsite and it is lovely. A shout out to many of my favorite staff including Phillippe and Purity at Jiko Restaurant!

Great art in building. Architecture of hotel beautiful. Service of rooms exceptional. Chocolates on pillow shockingly tasty. Food in restaurant ver nice. Not good gluten free options though. Shuttle service leaving hotel great. Getting shuttle service to return a bit dicier but Uber is ver available.

Stunning hotel - beautiful decor inside the rooms and reception and dining areas. Pool area is magnificent. Friendly, welcoming staff as well. Great location - in central Nairobi and attached to Village Mall for all the amenities needed.

I wish I could give the Tribe hotel more than 5 stars. I have stayed at some of the best hotels around the world and the service at The Tribe is the best I’ve ever experienced. From the time I made our reservation to the minute we got dropped back at the airport, we felt like royalty. Our Chieftains (that’s what they call their team members) were superb! Baraka at the front desk was an absolute delight. His positive attitude and willingness to help with whatever was needed made it a pleasure to interact with him each day. The rest of the front desk team - Jackie, Leah, and Barbara all made us feel like we were part of the Tribe family and constantly went above and beyond to make us feel like we were valued customers. Joel from the transport and excursions team is an absolute gem. We booked several excursion and airport transfers through him. We had to make several changes prior to arrival and while we were there, and his responsiveness and willingness to make changes minute to minute really helped make our time in Nairobi seamless and incredibly enjoyable. Lastly, Ivy, our driver and guide for three days, was the BEST! Aside from being a safe driver, she was so much fun to spend time with. She is funny, knowledgeable, and overall lovely person. In addition to the wonderful team, the hotel is stunning with beautiful artwork all around the hotel. The architecture and room design make it feel like you are staying in a beautiful art gallery. I had an amazing stay at Tribe! The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I loved the shower. I enjoyed my time and relaxation at the spa where I got a 10/10 massage and spent time in the sauna. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating as well. Nestled right next to the upscale Village Mall, this modern and chic hotel boasts a stunning design enhanced by striking African art. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The a la carte breakfast included with my stay was absolutely delicious, and having club lounge access was a fantastic perk. I have stayed at The Tribe a handful of times now and I am never disappointed. The property is always clean, my room was very nice and clean, I love the menu selection, especially the healthy choices on the breakfast menu. I would like to recognize all of the restaurant staff, and Virginia in Housekeeping especially for being so friendly and accomodating to me and my son during our stay. I would definitely recommend The Tribe to anyone, 5 out of 5 stars everytime, thank you so much! I will see you next time. Kind Regards, MC

the team is friendly in general but there has been many service issues that did not meet my expectations having paid a lot of money for the stay, not value for money, First room was very noisy, they changed next day to lower ground which was more quite from outside but the house keeping staff were very noisy, the replenishment of coffee and other amenities were not consistent, the laundry I sent came back not very clean and smelled awkward, the billing was an issue as I paid 20% on your website but it did not appear so if I did not pay attention I would of paid more money. they need a lot of improvement for the price paid. one good thing about it is the good quality of food in general especially in executive lounge.

We had a wonderful honeymoon stay to round off our trip at Tribe. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, but what really stood out was the friendly and attentive nature of all the staff. Can’t fault it.

The front office staff and the bellhops are super helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Real key to the client service experience here. Francis was great. Really lovely and quiet hotel. Tasty and wide variety of food options - pricy though. Great amenities and facilities. Our bathroom in room 502 was smelly at times though as the drain vent let in air. We didn’t receive our VIP Access gifts or amenities. I just remembered that we were entitled to these when prompted to do this review. A reminder at the hotel would have been nice. We are happy with our overall experience.

Very beautiful property, lovely staff, great amenities. Points off for COLD shower. About half my showers in 4 nights stay were room temp water navy showers.

I am a Hotels.com Gold member, and this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At check-in, Jackson at the reception told me that I could only get a room upgrade if I paid $50 per night, and when I refused, he suddenly offered to “discount” it to $30 per night. This was completely inappropriate and misleading, as Gold members are entitled to complimentary upgrades when rooms are available — and the hotel was clearly not full. Our room was directly above the restaurant, where a live band performed every night on the outdoor terrace. On the third night, a singer joined, and it honestly felt like being inside a concert hall. Even after the music ended around 10 PM, loud laughter and shouting from restaurant guests continued until closing time. We had to endure this for three nights straight, and it was impossible to rest. When we complained, no one offered to change our room or take any action. Despite clearly explaining the situation, Jackson and the staff showed no apology, no concern, and no willingness to help. It’s unacceptable for a hotel of this level to treat guests in such a careless manner. There was no prior notice about nightly performances, and no attempt was made to ensure guests’ comfort. I sincerely hope that Tribe Hotel management reviews their service standards and trains their staff to treat guests with honesty and respect. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values rest, professionalism, or integrity.

The front office staff and the bellhops are super helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Real key to the client service experience here. Francis was great. Really lovely and quiet hotel. Tasty and wide variety of food options - pricy though. Great amenities and facilities. Our bathroom in room 502 was smelly at times though as the drain vent let in air. We didn’t receive our VIP Access gifts or amenities. I just remembered that we were entitled to these when prompted to do this review. A reminder at the hotel would have been nice. We are happy with our overall experience.

I had an amazing stay at Tribe! The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I loved the shower. I enjoyed my time and relaxation at the spa where I got a 10/10 massage and spent time in the sauna. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating as well. Special shoutout to Tony, John , Desdario, Blair , Sheraline, and Linet. Your kindness during my stay did not go unnoticed and I really appreciated your contributions to my great stay. Staff were amazing! We stayed there 3 times a various points throughout our safaris & travels and couldn’t have been happier! It was through this hotel that we met Jeff, our indispensable driver. He was nothing short of a blessing. He took amazing care of us during our day trip around Nairobi & our endless trips to & from the airports for our Kenya & Tanzania adventures. If you go to Nairobi and need a driver ask for Jeff.

I have stayed at The Tribe a handful of times now and I am never disappointed. The property is always clean, my room was very nice and clean, I love the menu selection, especially the healthy choices on the breakfast menu. I would like to recognize all of the restaurant staff, and Virginia in Housekeeping especially for being so friendly and accomodating to me and my son during our stay. We had a wonderful honeymoon stay to round off our trip at Tribe. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, but what really stood out was the friendly and attentive nature of all the staff. Can’t fault it.

We had the pleasure of spending several days in Nairobi at the Tribe. As first time visitors of Kenya our family of four from Canada with two young adult daughters, we were a bit nervous as to what to expect with Nairobi but we couldn’t have been luckier than to have selected the Tribe (it was highly recommended to us). The staff there are kind, friendly and professional. Best of all, we were introduced to Jeff, our driver and guide who was recommended by the hotel. From the moment we met Jeff he made us feel completely safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. He didn’t just drive us around—he welcomed us like family. We used the Tribe as a hub between safaris and a trip to Tanzania’s mainland and Zanzibar. With Jeff as our reliable contact in Nairobi for each of our multiple airport drop offs, pick-ups, and tour day in Nairobi; and the Tribe with its great staff, ambiance, safety and cleanliness (plus yummy food) we genuinely looked forward to returning between adventures. The Tribe held our larger luggages during the adventures and Jeff’s dependability made us feel safe, comfortable and welcome. Even when we were running predictably late Jeff kindly ensured we made each flight, and were never stranded nor confused with where to go or what to do at the airport (for pick-ups and drop-offs). The Tribe was a hit. As for Jeff, if you're visiting Nairobi and want a driver who will go above and beyond to make things smooth he is the person you want.

I wish I could give the Tribe hotel more than 5 stars. I have stayed at some of the best hotels around the world and the service at The Tribe is the best I’ve ever experienced. From the time I made our reservation to the minute we got dropped back at the airport, we felt like royalty. Our Chieftains (that’s what they call their team members) were superb! Baraka at the front desk was an absolute delight. His positive attitude and willingness to help with whatever was needed made it a pleasure to interact with him each day. The rest of the front desk team - Jackie, Leah, and Barbara all made us feel like we were part of the Tribe family and constantly went above and beyond to make us feel like we were valued customers. Joel from the transport and excursions team is an absolute gem. We booked several excursion and airport transfers through him. We had to make several changes prior to arrival and while we were there, and his responsiveness and willingness to make changes minute to minute really helped make our time in Nairobi seamless and incredibly enjoyable. Lastly, Ivy, our driver and guide for three days, was the BEST! Aside from being a safe driver, she was so much fun to spend time with. She is funny, knowledgeable, and overall lovely person. In addition to the wonderful team, the hotel is stunning with beautiful artwork all around the hotel. The architecture and room design make it feel like you are staying in a beautiful art gallery. Words can’t explain how much we fell in love with this hotel. From the staff, the food, surrounding areas, everything was fantastic! For starters, the hotel is completely gated with 2 point security, so we left extremely safe. There is a mall inside the gated area as well along with a few restaurants so it was perfect for nights when we wanted to grab something quick to eat. Uber is available and are very quick with arrival time. If you love taking pics, this is the place for you. There are tons of photos opps in almost every corner! Lovely place and will definitely stay again when visiting Kenya!

Nestled right next to the upscale Village Mall, this modern and chic hotel boasts a stunning design enhanced by striking African art. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The a la carte breakfast included with my stay was absolutely delicious, and having club lounge access was a fantastic perk. Incredible hotel with such wonderful staff from security to reception to house keeping - everyone is so welcoming. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and modern. Do not miss the restaurant or spa which are both amazing. Village market mall right next door for anything you could need

I recently stayed at Tribe for a conference, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Nestled right next to the upscale Village Mall, this modern and chic hotel boasts a stunning design enhanced by striking African art. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The a la carte breakfast included with my stay was absolutely delicious, and having club lounge access was a fantastic perk. The lounge offered a delightful breakfast with an omelette bar and transformed into a vibrant space for happy hour, featuring creative cocktails and tasty appetizers each evening. Dining at Jiko, the hotel’s restaurant, was a highlight, showcasing mouthwatering modern African cuisine. My only minor complaints would be that the Wi-Fi connection was occasionally unreliable, and the beautiful pool was unheated, making it quite chilly. Overall, Tribe is a fantastic choice for a stylish and comfortable stay!

Fantastic hotel, staff and very attentive. Only one negative experience: when asking for a taxi at the luggage area just check the pricing online with google. One guy wanted to charge us $80 for a $40 ride (thankfully the in-house taxi driver set him right at $40).

Fantastic hotel and highly recommended. We were only here for 2x nights in between our safari but we could have stayed longer. (The chicken soup in the restaurant 👌). I / we couldn’t find faults and we can be critical.

Tribe was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The hotel itself is stunning, and the rooms are spacious with plenty of thoughtful little extras that make your stay even more comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help. The onsite restaurant was outstanding, offering delicious food and drinks at very reasonable prices. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a few days on safari.
