Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort

Upon arrival, the staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Our room and the view were beautiful. The only minor complaint is that our booking mentioned a mini fridge, but there wasn’t one in the room. When I asked the front desk, they explained they were waiting on a shipment and had none available. Since we stayed for eight nights, it was challenging to manage without a fridge, so we had to purchase an ice chest to keep our drinks cold. I highly recommend booking taxi rides in advance through the front desk if you plan to go out and about. We often waited between 45 minutes to an hour for taxis. The hotel only provides one bottle of water per day, and the drinking fountains were broken. However, the hotel restaurant was kind enough to fill up our bottles when we asked. The hotel itself is very nice, though it could use some upgrades. The pool, for instance, looks a bit outdated and needs some maintenance, though it was kept very clean. If you don’t get a room with laundry machines, there is only laundry service which is very expensive. The food at both the main restaurant and the bar was excellent! I also recommend exploring other islands like Moorea and Bora Bora instead of staying just in Tahiti. If you are like us and have a late departure home, the late checkout is based upon availability. So, you could find yourself having to checkout at 11 and stuck waiting around. The airport is small. The locals are incredibly friendly, and overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Clean room but had to take 6 pieces of luggage up and down 7 flights of stairs because the elevators were out.

We had a beautiful room overlooking the ocean. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great Polynesian show on Thursday night. The pool could use a little maintenance as there are some tiles falling off here and there, but overall a great experience at a beautiful spot. 5 stars!

The pool is probably the best feature of the Le Tahiti, it’s spectacular. The black sand beach is gorgeous, the waves are huge and crash on the beach sounding like thunder! Our only complaint is how expensive the food and drinks are. Two cocktails are close to $65.00. We did see a fantastic Polynesian dance and fire show on Friday night.

Property was nice but the jetted tub didn’t work and the outdoor hot tub water was cold.

We spent only one night at the end of a Windstar cruise…we were so lucky to be in attendance for the evening traditional Polynesian show…the group was excellent and were by far the most talented group we had encountered in our stay in the islands…I felt that I should contribute to the group but the opportunity was not there…I know these men and women don’t show there talents then put there hand out for money but if there was a fund to contribute to for the teaching of the young islanders about dance and culture I would have been more than happy to contribute…awesome is the word that keeps coming to mind about the evening

Property is under renovation. Some units look brand new. Others a little worn. Construction noise during the day.

We stayed here after a 15 day cruise. On a positive start, the front desk staff was amazing! We forgot an adapter and they found us one for my husband's cpap. The pool area was beautiful except the hot tub was dirty and out of order. Our room on the 5th floor in building 3 was 2 story with spectacular floor to ceiling windows on both floors. You can't beat the view. One problem the shears were missing so choice is black out curtains or hot afternoon sun beating in, however, each night the sunsets were spectacular. Hot water was iffy every late afternoon early evening. There is a place for a refrigerator, but it was ripped out and I was told they did that because they had problems with the mini bar. I think it's because they have an ant infestation and didn't want food in rooms. Or maybe so you had to keep buying their food. Some of the food was good some was not. It was hit or miss and the same thing with the service for food and drinks. Lots of free entertainment that was enjoyable. We booked a snorkel trip through the activities people in the boutique, and it was the best snorkeling we've ever done. The free bus ride to and from Papeete was entertaining with the whole bus singing with our driver. There is no where to eat nearby, so you're options are limited. We had leftover pizza and they charged us $2.50 for a box to take it to room! If you need a place to land before or after a flight or cruise it's a good option for a couple of days. Easy cab to airport.

The staff was friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Our room was very nice and was exactly as pictured. Very clean with nice views.

The room is spacious and clean. Loved that the aircon was on before we arrived and room was nice and cool. Bed was comfy but could hear the waves which sounded like heavy rain which kept me awake.

Das Hotel ist ok für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt, jedoch sind die Zimmer und die Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auch der Pool müsste mal wieder gesäubert (Moos) werden und die Platten renoviert werden. Personal ist jedoch sehr nett!

Unfortunately we were not impressed by this property. We stayed in a signature suite but the floor in our room was so dirty that the bottoms of our feet were black after a short time being barefoot in the room. This was before we even went out to the black sand beach. The property itself was ok but just nothing overly impressive. We also were given plastic water bottles in our room instead of the refillable water bottles other Pearl Resorts locations. It was also quite noisy on the beach right under our window from activity on the beach and loud music coming from the bar area. We would not stay here again.

Beautiful scenery and the sound of the waves . Saw whales from our balcony. Engine’s the same Everyday which wasn’t a big menu and it wasn’t close to anything so could cost 40-50 round trip for a taxi to find a restaurant. Bathroom walls downstairs needed cleaning and a garbage barrel in the living space Would be good as there was only a small one in the bathroom . The bathroom windows in the shower didn’t fully close and there is no screen and the lower window had a lot of mold. The balcony had an area with a lot of bird poop that hadn’t been cleaned in along time. S yr add were awesome. Polynesian show with buffet was very good.

Hotel ground is beautifully located along the black sand beach. Hotel room is spacious with an ocean view; furniture is outdated and draperies were dirty. There was not enough electrical outlets that conveniently located near bed to charge cellular devices. Appreciate the tiny fridge to keep few bottles of water chill. Parking spaces were available on site. Staffs were not answering emails when messages sent through Expedia website for inquiries prior to travel.

We booked a hot tub room, we appreciated the room being ready earlier than the usual time for check in. However, the hot tub had few stands of hair (not ours), so we ended up cleaning and washing the hot tub before using. There were ants in the room and cobwebs. We were by the lift/elevator so we heard the mechanical sound of it going up and down all day. They had a trainee at the reception desk, so because of misinformation of where to retrieve the ice, we first went to the reception desk then to the bar. The bar is located on a different floor and is a long walk from the reception desk, and we have to go the bar every time we would like ice, which is very inconvenient. The hotels’s only one restaurant also had a trainee and when the trainee took our plates after we ate, she couldn’t get a good grip, so it tilted and almost spilled on our laps with the sauces and utensils on the top. When we went to the black sand beach, there was this guy with a dog who was playing fetch and when we were walking towards the water to dip our toes, the guy decided to throw the stick towards my husband and the dog (30kg) ran into my husband and knocked him down. My husband recovered recently from a left knee fracture and that is the exact location where the dog slammed into. Overall, this wasn’t the experience we had in mind. We went out of our way for this hotel and for the black sand beach but it’s the worst experience, definitely not worth the money or the trip.

beautiful private black sand beach, nice environment/facility, wonderful breakfast etc. friendly staffs, clean room. except the room housekeeping is needed to improve, the towels and shampoo were not provided enough someday, seems no standard but depend on housekeeper.

Checked in late in the evening just before midnight. Pierre the night manager was very helpful, kind, polite and informative. Apparently I had been place in a room at the far end of the resort, the last room in fact. He moved us closer as since I'd been through airports in a wheelchair and had mobility issues he felt that I wouldn't even be able to get to the room. The room we got was such a disappointment given we'd stayed prior in a lovely room with views that I had to ask at 2am to be moved. There was a torturous sound of humming from a water tower apparently which was needing maintenance. Couldn't bear it and as we'd been travelling all day and had a 4 night booking we asked to be moved. Honestly sleeping in reception would have been more bearable. They moved us to another room, minus a view, with a rooster crowing all night long. No luggage rack. No water. 2 tea bags. drawers popping open on bedside table next to bed, light on bedside table not working, nothing in the fridge,no milk only creamer powdered, no fruit basket, Asleep we were woken up with a knock on the door and I was hoping it was news of our room they are trying to find us, only to discover it was a guy wanting to check the sheets and asking us if we were checking out. Honestly, the place has gone to ruin since we last stayed and I am extremely disappointed at our stay this time...so far. Now the phone is ringing with news of another room?

Cama confortable. Buenos espacios para colocar la ropa y otras cosas. Belle vista al mar. La climatización en la sala era muy ruidosa. No podíamos usarla durante nuestra estancia. Vino un técnico, pero no fue reparada hasta nuestra salida

Rooms need refreshing

Our room was in newest building and was beautiful with balcony overlooking the ocean. Great black sand beach with amazing snorkeling within steps.

This room was fantastic. The property sits on a black sand beach and has a very large pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only minor issue was that the WiFi was very spotty. When we checked out, the receptionist told us that there is a setting for iOS devices that is needed for a more stable connection, so be sure to check with them when you arrive.

We stayed at this property for six nights. The property itself is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful; However, we did have issues with the room. First, we did not get the rooms we had booked and paid for, even though we booked 10 months in advance. We booked a premium room with a kitchen and the room was not not available. We were given a downgrade as the hotel was fully booked. The onsite manager did credit us with food vouchers. The room we were in had a kitchen but there were very few kitchen supplies, no oven mitts, no coffee maker, no oven tray, inadequate cutlery, only one small pot, etc... We also had a leak from the air conditioner and the sink which was not repaired during our stay, even though we asked three times for it to be looked at. instead we had towels on the floor soaking up the water all week. I believe the problem with this property is general management. The staff were very nice but It appears they are not adequately trained.

Very nice property and probably would stay again. The people were very friendly and accommodating! Just a bit disappointed about the noise from construction and there were areas that needed updating in the rooms (woodwork coming unattached or chipped, paint that needed to be removed before painting again, things I would not expect to see in a 4 or 5 star hotel). The placement, views, grounds and pool were beautiful!

Staff helpful and friendly. Room (Signature Suite) modern/spacious. Common areas/grounds feel a bit neglected. Not much to do if weather bad. Could use a pool table for example. Meals OK. Breakfast good.

I booked several weeks ago, specifically requested for a twin room, the resort emailed me back to confirm the request. But today I arrived at resort, got the queen bed not twin, for 2 guests per room! Tried to communicate with reception desk from 7:30pm, until now nothing ever been fixed! Had to sleep on the floor tonight! Cause after a long international flight really frustrated to deal with… Very very disappointed! Awful service, won’t be back. Plus that’s almost the end resort far from city center, take extra taxi fee… Pls don’t go there.

Friendly helpful staff, beautiful oceanfront grounds with large pool and nice restaurant.

Rooms very nice. Pool was nice and beach area. The service at the restaurant was not good. The food was very average. Not much to do on property and nothing much in walking distance. Front desk staff was very nice! Pierre at evening check in was wonderful. Sad they can’t get servers at the restaurant to do better.

I can not say enough good things about Le Tahiti by Pearl. We loved the location on a black sand beach, the property grounds including the pool, the restaurant with its shows, the spacious and clean rooms with a large balcony facing the ocean, and the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. We were there two days longer than anticipated because of a cancelled flight. The staff was so helpful in accommodating us. Many thanks for their help! I would highly recommend Le Tahiti and would love to come back for a stay!

The staff in the restaurant were great!! Jenny, Graz, Paco and Gladys. There needs to be more food awareness when it come to special diets ie gluten free options. The Thursday night show was fabulous. Front desk personnel were friendly but forgot to make our bed into 2 singles. Also forgot to order our taxi to the airport. All in all we enjoyed our visit.

Everyone seems to speak English and French, and is really welcoming. We had a small electrical outage in the room one day and they took care of it right away. We booked a 1 bedroom with kitchen, really convenient to be able to cook in the evening since the dining options in the hotel are pricey. If you have a car, It's relatively close to a bakery and stores, so we could enjoy french food and they have several "roulottes": food truck around.

Cet hôtel est vraiment merveilleuse mais le service est totalement nulle. J’avais réservé un taxi tôt le matin pour aller à l’aéroport et par chance on a eu un autre taxi puisque celui qui était supposé arriver etait en retard de plus de 15 minutes. Aussi le service pour les excursions n’est vraiment pas fiable. Dommage pour un si bel endroit. À votre place je chercherais ailleurs avant de réserver à cet endroit

The facility was great. However I left an item there and emailed them and did NOT get any response. Very disappointing!!!

The rooms were great and the pool and view of the ocean was awesome. There was easy beach access right from the pool. The only downside was that there is only one restaurant and there isn't really anything in walking distance so you either need a car, taxi or scooter to go to dinner somewhere.

Location wasn’t great but had the best sunset views on the island and beautiful black sand beach the room had views of the ocean which was nice and great to have a washer dryer in the room … overall not bad for the price

No other facilities around hotel and restaurant/bar below average and extremely expensive. Taxis difficult to obtain from town to hotel. Must have a car. Taxes & fees very expensive,.

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach. Staff are very nice and helpful. The happy hour is a plus too. They have a shuttle service. I was also able to use the bus as there is a stop in front of the hotel.

Most of the staff was Amazing! But resort is a long way from city market place and any restaurants.

Le Tahiti is lovely. Perfect spot for an overnight Viking into or out of Tahiti. Just 30 minutes or less from the airport, with great food and a gorgeous black sand beach.

Location is good - although if you want to eat elsewhere, that takes some effort or a cab. The hotel does offer a shuttle twice a day to the town, but I didn't get impression that the concierge was that helpful with restaurant recommendations or excursions. This can be improved.

Located approx 25-30 min from the airport and most shopping and restaurants, so you should rent a car if you prefer a variety of food options. The property is clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. Loved the spa/sauna. The only issue we had were ants in the room. We liked having a living room space, large bathroom, and lounge chairs on the balcony but wished we had a microwave. The restaurant service is good. The way food is prepared was inconsistent.

The place was nice. Big drawback was its location. Not many shops close by. Further no ATM on premises. required to run into town to get sundries or cash. Front desk offered to give cash but at a 5% rate. However the location was the only big issue. Expensive breakfasts were offered by really not that great. Other meals fantastic.

Our favorite property on Tahiti. Great staff, beautiful black sand beach, loved our suite. Only two things we thought could be better, the "hot tub" by the pool is not heated, and the restaurant food was a bit inconsistent. We had great food most of the time but on a few occasions the same dish two nights in a row were very different. Small issues, we will definitely be back.

I thought the food was downright awful and most of the time not edible it tasted that bad The drinks and food were beyond expensive I think $27 for an Aperol spritz is a bit ridiculous Breakfast for two for $80 a bit much Not happy would never stay there again it’s too bad the room was nice

We stayed 2 night in duplex. We had bedroom and full bathroom upstairs and toilet with common area whiche had 2 beds for our kids on.main level. Beautifully ocean facing room with 2 balconies. Very clean!!! Had all we needed. Great staff. Cons: not much of the beach. Ok pool. Terrible dining!!! Food was expensive and disgusting.!!!

Un bel hotel avec de bonnes prestations à l'exception de la nourriture très chère et pas extraordinaire. Le petit déjeuner buffet est hors de prix pour un choix assez restreint. Notre suite a été restauré récemment et était absolument magnifique.

We really liked this resort. The rooms are very big, modern, and clean. The view is breathtaking, the staff are very nice and helpful. We liked the food at the restaurant too, they also have Polynesian dancing on Thursdays and Saturday nights which we enjoyed. This resort is quiet, and the pool was not crowded which I really liked. We stayed at another resort on our way back going home later in our trip and it was the same price as this place but not as nice at all. I definitely recommend this resort.

This was a beautiful spot to enjoy Tahiti! The hotel was comfortable, quiet, safe and we were well taken care of. The pool and restaurant were fabulous and the sunset views from the patio were stunning. Highly recommend this spot for a wonderful Tahitian experience!
