Great location, beautiful room and great food. Cant wait to visit in the summer as the garden and outdoor dining space is really nice, will definitely be going back as this place is great value for money.

Quirky, old renovated inn. A small number of bedrooms makes the Ragged Cot a great short stay destination. Rooms are not large but more than adequate. Coffee/tea in room. Nice toiletries, crisp cotton sheets. We had Sunday lunch which was excellent. Breakfast included also very good. Good Wi-Fi and lots of on-site free parking. The only small issue that we encountered was that on this occasion we had a ground floor room. Unfortunately, we were disturbed by the guests upstairs moving around.. we have visited on a number of occasions and will return soon.

Not a large place to stay, but big car park . Has old world charm on the outside, and very peaceful, you are treated well as a guest ...you matter to them, which is important . Room was adequate for our needs and the food and drinks were good..

We have lodged at numerous hotels in the area. The Ragged Cot beats them all…Excellent staff, excellent location, excellent food.(especially the free breakfast).Excellent value. Nice warm room. Safe free parking. Good free WiFi. The restaurant menu is excellent. However, I would recommend that the management consider adding a “lighter bites” menu…The portions on the main menu are large! Well done to all the staff.

The Ragged.Cot is a lovely place. A little out of the way, for walk to locations, but an excellent restaurant is on site and it is close to other locations if driving. I enjoyed my stay.

lovely atmosphere, cosy and comfortable. Excellent dinner and breakfast menu, very tasty food and good quality.Attentive staff. Nice basic room, comfy bed. Very good on site parking, plenty of outside areas to sit.

One night romantic stay Issue with room provided at check in but quickly resolved and upgraded to a lager room The room was clean and comfortable with a good shower Fantastic evening meal with great musical entertainment within the restaurant Breakfast could run a lot smoother if they had fresh brewed coffee on the buffet table and not a single coffee machine , and a better toaster I really enjoyed the cooked full English breakfast Great overall service from the staff I would definitely return if in the area again

Very cosy but modernized historic property! Had its own pub and restaurant serving delicious food and drink, and our hotel room included a cooked to order hot breakfast. It’s in a quiet countryside but with easy access to towns for any needed supplies. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Shower and sink were blocked water didn’t drain away quickly enough and the bathroom floor was one big puddle. Breakfast table was so sticky the cutlery was actually stuck to the table. Table was dirty from diners the night before. I could go on but to be honest very average.

Very helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent. Room very clean and refreshed every morning. If I had one criticism to much signage. I would certainly recommend.

This accommodation was perfect under every aspect. Spacious and comfortable room, big and clean bathroom, very nice staff and lovely breakfast. The deal quality/price has been very high. Our room was close to a road and we could hear some car passing in the morning, but nothing that ruined our sleep

It was clean and pleasant. The room had a kettle and hairdryer. Toiletries in the bathroom. We didn't have any problems from the alleged ghosts. I can't comment on the area as it was dark when we arrived and foggy when we left! It seemed to be in quiet countryside.

Adequate for the price and a comfortable bed. Took 10 minutes to wait to check in whilst staff were on break and other staff unable to help. Offered a dining discount but didn't receive, noisy with room next to the road, some menu items not available even at 7 pm. Fish and chips just ok and breakfast very basic and just ok. Friendly service and beautiful garden area

Excellent value for money, great location, nice atmosphere, good menu and food quality was really good. Comfortable room, good size and comfortable bed, only slightly noisy at night with other guest moving around above our room but no biggy really. Would recommend

Only stayed 1 night but felt welcomed and relaxed throughout. The room (no.6) was quirky & spacious with a good size ensuite shower room. Plenty if storage (not that we needed it), tea & coffee facilities and toiletries, oh and a hairdryer! Our only negative would be the noise from the road but that can't be helped in this location. We woukd recommend the Ragged Cot to everyone.

The hotel is a busy pub with the accommodation down a corridor to the back of the hotel. The room was very small, especially the bathroom and although fairly clean had a cigarette/musty smell. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. We were in the area for a wedding so just needed a place to stay near Minchinhampton, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Ragged Cot. Staff were friendly and food was amazing. Had an issue with the shower tray draining which was promptly fixed after it was reported. We will definitely be staying again. Thanks very much.

We needed accommodation after attending a wedding nearby . We were able to drop by in the morning and collect a key to let ourselves in later on as we were going to arrive late at night after reception closed. The lady who showed us how to let ourselves in was also working in the breakfast room the next morning and was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. We had a very comfortable night's sleep and a lovely shower with nice thick fluffy towels. Will definitely come back next time to try their lunch menu as the outside gardens looked lovely

I came back at 11 and couldn’t get in . I contacted the hotel and left 5 messages asking for help . The areas around hotel are unlit and after about 30 minutes of blundering around in the darkness I found a way in . The food was good at breakfast but there is only one station for tea and coffee and toast so only one person can attend at a time . If you want just a room for the night it’s fine but don’t go out in the evening as you may not get in or hurt yourself trying to get in .

Excellent value for money, great location, nice atmosphere, good menu and food quality was really good. Comfortable room, good size and comfortable bed, only slightly noisy at night with other guest moving around above our room but no biggy really. Would recommend

We have lodged at numerous hotels in the area. The Ragged Cot beats them all…Excellent staff, excellent location, excellent food.(especially the free breakfast).Excellent value. Nice warm room. Safe free parking. Good free WiFi. The restaurant menu is excellent. However, I would recommend that the management consider adding a “lighter bites” menu…The portions on the main menu are large! Well done to all the staff.

Only stayed 1 night but felt welcomed and relaxed throughout. The room (no.6) was quirky & spacious with a good size ensuite shower room. Plenty if storage (not that we needed it), tea & coffee facilities and toiletries, oh and a hairdryer! Our only negative would be the noise from the road but that can't be helped in this location. We woukd recommend the Ragged Cot to everyone.

This accommodation was perfect under every aspect. Spacious and comfortable room, big and clean bathroom, very nice staff and lovely breakfast. The deal quality/price has been very high. Our room was close to a road and we could hear some car passing in the morning, but nothing that ruined our sleep

The Ragged.Cot is a lovely place. A little out of the way, for walk to locations, but an excellent restaurant is on site and it is close to other locations if driving. I enjoyed my stay.

Very cosy but modernized historic property! Had its own pub and restaurant serving delicious food and drink, and our hotel room included a cooked to order hot breakfast. It’s in a quiet countryside but with easy access to towns for any needed supplies. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Shower and sink were blocked water didn’t drain away quickly enough and the bathroom floor was one big puddle. Breakfast table was so sticky the cutlery was actually stuck to the table. Table was dirty from diners the night before. I could go on but to be honest very average.

Really good place to stay, old style comfort with large bed, plenty of room to work and relax. Food was good quality, the breakfast was exceptional. Overall a great stay, staff made you feel welcome and valued.

Dinner in the pub was great. Cooked breakfast was served very quickly and was fantastic. As a surveyor, is say that extract fan not working in the ensuite to Room 4 will mean that the room will get a musty smell if not sorted. Would come back certainly. B

Due to very hot temperatures the small fan in the room was inadequate. Decor fine but now looking dated & in need of a few tweaks (peeling paint & stains on carpets) Room & bedding clean. Small Toiletries provided & towels. Staff friendly , food good, lots of parking. Cooked Breakfast was filling with choice of cereal , toast etc.

This hotel is past its best. Very quiet when we arrived at Saturday lunch time. Sticky dining tables - the varnish apparently. Unloved and uninspirational decor. Room 8 : a dark mark on the carpet as you walk in, lacklustre room, light fittings falling off by the bed. It did not feel like a boutique hotel at the price we paid - £120. To the owners - please take a good look around - or go and spend a night in room 8.

Had a lovely welcome when I arrived and the bedroom was very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the lady who served me was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely go again as it was easy for a solo traveller
