The Beach House is a stunning period hotel with an amazing history. We’ve stayed here several times before, and always loved our visits, when we previously found the hotel’s bedrooms to be well equipped, comfortable and spacious. However, on this occasion we were unprepared to find our allocated room not being inside the main hotel but instead was located in a small, draughty annex on the other side of the hotel car park, which wasn’t ideal as we had a lot of wet and windy weather during our stay, and this made the short outdoor walk to and from the main hotel rather unpleasant and so this took the edge off our enjoyment. Our allocated room was described in the promotional material as a “Comfy Double”. Whilst the double bed was indeed very comfortable, I would say a better description of the room itself would be cramped rather than comfy! There was no wardrobe or chest of drawers anywhere in the bedroom, we only had a few pegs on the wall and a handful of hangers, so we kept most of our clothes inside our two small open suitcases on the floor area surrounding our bed, which wasn’t great and somewhat of a trip hazard to say the least, as there was very minimal space on either side of our bed. The bathroom was basic but clean with a nice warm towel rail and lovely big fluffy towels! Would’ve preferred a flexible shower head rather than the static raindance head though. We’d definitely revisit but next time we will make sure we request a room inside the main hotel!

Fabulous location. Beautiful building with stunning rooms with every amenity you could think of. Breakfast choice excellent with an extensive cold buffet to start. As there is no lift staff were available to take our case to our room which was much appreciated. Have stayed at The Beach House 3 times as friends live in Milford on Sea and would not hesitate in booking again.

Very nice stay from start to finish. Large free car parking, check in was very fast and friendly and we were shown to our room which was cosy but perfect for 1 night. The bed was comfortable, the room very clean with lovely toiletries and plenty of tea and coffee. We even had a fantastic view of The Needles. The property itself was beautiful, breakfast was great and all the staff were warm and professional. We will certainly stay here again!

A lovely 3 night stay at this very English Hotel. It is a very old building so don't expect everything to be 100%, there will always be maintenance required. We stayed in The Orchard Room (Room 21) and it was plenty big enough for 2 of us and with all the extras we could use - Canned drinking water, choice of Teas, coffee, Biscuits plenty of Hot Water, good quality hand lotion, soaps and shampoo. The room faced the car park inland but was quiet and we slept soundly. It's an easy walk to the beachfront for a stroll, don't expect sand it's all pebbles or large rocks. Views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and the Needles. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no lift to any floors, you will need to carry your cases, but as stated it is an old building. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choices were excellent and served freshly cooked.
