Best Western Marquise Cote d'Opale

A clean and comfortable hotel in a great location to visit the museums and attractions in the Pays de Calais area. The room was not particularly spacious but was well laid out with plenty of storage space and a big comfortable bed. There was a mini fridge, a decent shower, safe, air con. The room was quiet. We were on the ground floor near the foyer but were not at all bothered by noise from there or from other guests. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. In the foyer you could help yourself to fairly decent coffee or hot chocolate from a machine at any time (although it was not working on our last day). There is free parking. The breakfast room was nicely laid out. We didn’t use take the breakfast option, so cannot comment on that. The rest of the time it functions as a reasonably well stocked bar if you fancy a beer, G&T or cocktail in the evening. If you opt out of the daily room clean, you get a voucher for a drink instead. The hotel is located on a retail park so there is not a lot going on the immediate vicinity. There is a large restaurant and bar next door - but we didn’t try that. There is also a large supermarket nearby and a McDonalds.

Really new and very clean. My only issue was that the kids bunk beds made quite a lot of noise when they moved. Very good for the tunnel back to England with useful amenities around it.
