Loved our stay here! Short 5 min walk to the beach. Free continental breakfast which is a plus if you are traveling with kids. There is even a rental car place in the lobby their rates were cheaper than taking an Uber.

Service was great. Overall the hotel is good for its price. The swimming pool area was nice, not too big. I had the pool for at least 1.5 hrs before ANYONE came out, which was nice. Surprisingly tucked in the corner of the hotel is a bar. Nice atmosphere, good drinks, no food. Only a charcuterie board. Make sure you eat first if your drinking. Good music. Salsa, hiphop is what i heard when i popped in. Cool good vibes. The rooms look like they are from 1970. Needs updating. Shower/tub was small but did what it was supposed to do...

We booked the Waikiki Resort hotel based on the reviews. We really enjoyed the property. It is so close to Waikiki Beach, shopping, and dining. We had a great check-in experience with a young man named Connor, who was very helpful. The room was perfect for what we needed. It's a basic, clean hotel room. Each room has a fridge, which was nice. I read some reviews demeaning the rooms or the cleanliness. We didn't see anything negative. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean! We didn't spend a ton of time in our room, so it was great. The property also had a very convenient shop where you could grab things you needed. We also appreciated the water filling stations to refill our water bottles. I had also read some reviews criticizing the included breakfast. I have no clue what they could be criticizing. It is a standard hotel breakfast and the food was excellent. The fresh fruit was delicious. They also had eggs, delicious fried rice, miso soup, pastries, etc. We really appreciated not having to spend money on breakfast each day. The staff manning the dining area were also very efficient and friendly. While we didn't use the pool, we checked it out and it looked great, especially for kids. I had been concerned about the parking, but it all turned out fine. The parking is tight, but we always managed to find a space. You do have to pay about $40 a day to park, but it was worth it. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall a great hotel. Super friendly staff, decent room, and good breakfast restaurant. The decor and facilities are a bit old, but still work well. They have a game room with a pool table and foosball, a fun place for my 6-year-old daughter. Very close to the beaches, and provides towels for beach stay. Parking is 45/day, the underground garage is a bit hard to maneuver around for big cars, but we had no problem finding a spot during the 4 day stay.

Overall a pleasant experience. Facility could use a refresh, but the staff and service was outstanding. Parking in Waikiki is difficult and expensive. Staff here went out of their way to ensure that I always had a spot. Even went so far as to allow me to park my rental car in the employee lot.

We enjoyed our stay and will probably stay there again. It's a nice hotel just a small block from the beach. We had an ocean view corner room 15 th floor. Just 200 a night instead of 400. Rated as a 3 star hotel but closerto a 4 I'd say. Close to a multitude of shops and restaurants. You can rent a car on site, there's a convenience store. A tour guide desk. A quaint bar. A breakfast restaurant. Free continental breakfast. Pool, beach towels. And a really nice open air lobby.

The continental breakfast is filling. The wellness classes and the teacher Julia are absolutely amazing. The pool is outdated and wouldn’t it make more sense to have the pool towels on the same floor as the pool instead of having to go to the basement? Overall nice place I’ll stay here again!

Breakfast needs meat. Bed is ok but room looks old and carpet smells bad. Bathroom is clean but window dont close. Ants crawled to my ear while i was sleeping. The whole building is old, needs renovation. The coffee pot outlet is not working. I definitely not going back to that hotel.

We had a wonderful time and found Waikiki Resort Hotel to be wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff, quiet rooms, comfy beds and daily service. We were only steps from waikiki beach. Overall it was wonderful and we would happily stay again!

This hotel was a complete disappointment. The room was outdated and in terrible shape-scratched-up furniture, a broken bathroom window, and a filthy, chipped tub full of mold. It was noisy at all hours, and the service was just as bad. What made it worse is that the photos online are completely misleading. What we walked into looked nothing like what was advertised. When you're spending that kind of money to visit Hawaii, you expect at least basic cleanliness and comfort. This wasn't it. l'll be posting photos so others can see the truth before they book.I have photos to confirm.

The room was very dirty, the air conditioning ducts were very dusty, the noise was excessive, making it hard to rest. The smell of marijuana wafted through the bathroom window, which was not suitable for children. We went in and out, and the room smelled completely of cannabis. The only good thing I found was the breakfast.

The rooms were cramped especially the bathroom. The room had an AC which made a loud humming noise and the rooms themselves were very unhygienic with a pungent smell, carpets with stains, the beds were smaller than a queen, the room was also poorly lit. The complimentary breakfast was really good containing lots of healthy options and the staff was very kind and understanding as well as having prompt room service, the location is also in a prime spot.

I stayed in room 606, very poor maintenance condition, bathroom door was full of dust, the whole room needs attention, I stayed there 5 nights and definitely I won’t stay there again. Employees were not friendly. Except one guy at front desk during the morning time. He was super nice. Breakfast was ok. Pool is ok walking around was super easy. But to me the cleaning part is the number 1. This hotel room was definitely not clean

Hotel is 1 minute away from the beach. There is a McDonald's next to the hotel. Lots of places to shop, to eat. it is located in the heart of Waikiki. The mall is a 20 minutes ride from the hotel. No need to call Uber. All you need is a metro card but they call it a Holo card that you can get at any ABC stores.The hotel lobby is beautiful but the room needs a makeover; better lighting, better furniture but overall, I had a great time in Honolulu

There were lots of restaurants within walking distance. The room was a bit small and so were the beds. We asked for an ocean view room and we did get one but it was very small with 2 double beds and the beds weren’t very comfortable. My parents had a suite which was not an ocean view and was huge with separate rooms. Internet access was okay. The breakfast was great every morning and the staff was very friendly. The concierge was extremely friendly, helpful, and polite. All of the staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the resort.

Great location near beach. Good value. Condition of some of the facilities, and bathroom, was mediocre. Wind whistled through sliding glass door, and rattled front door. Was windy week. Bathroom window did not fully close. But beds were comfortable.

Access to the beach and a block away from Kalakaua avenue. We had partial ocean view from the 8th floor. It was great to wake up to that and watch the surfers be already in the water at 6 am! Housekeeping was good. Front desk also very friendly and quick to respond. We did check in at 1:30 am the next day since our connecting flight got delayed (We were supposed to check in at 11 pm). Our reservation was cancelled as a no show a few minutes before we arrived but we were able to reclaim it with a 15 minute wait. The property is a little dated, the tub being a sort of a mini walk in tub and the pool was Ok as well, but a good bang for the buck if you need to only get a good night's sleep. By no means a luxury hotel and they do have a nightly resort fee. The breakfast was pretty filling with eggs, salad and fruit being the staple. That was mixed in with potato fritters and egg fried rice on some days. Yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, bread made up the rest. At the end of the week, we did get tired of some of the stuff but overall a pretty filling free breakfast if you don't mind the repetition.All in all we had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is right behind another row of hotels along the main strip of the beach, but they are aligned in a way that allows for peek-a-boo views of the ocean. I was a little disappointed I selected “ocean view” in my search for a place to stay and we actually only wound up with a view of a triangular section of the ocean between other hotels; I thought we’d have a full, uninterrupted view. The hotel itself was nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a very short walk to the beach, so this is an ideal location if you want to see Waikīkī and be in the heart of the action. Nearby hotels have very loud music till very late in the night. This hotel only has a pool that is not heated, and no jacuzzi. The pool itself is dated and has no nice views around it. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay there, and I would say it is a very family friendly hotel.

Skip it. Book elsewhere. This hotel is so old and outdated. The windows are old glass slates that do not fully close or seal. The room cannot get below 75° because of this which isnt terrible but the sounds of the city go well into the wer hours so if you're even a remotely light sleeper expect to be exhausted for the week. I would say this hotel is closer to a motel 6 than a "resort" there was no "resort" feeling about this. Staff was indifferent at best. This hotel Def takes the cheapest route wherever possible and trust me, what you dont pay up front, theyll nickle and dime you the rest of your stay. There is practically no amenties and avoid the restaurant ilima in the lobby. Absolutely terrible service. It took over an hour for them to bring out 4 breakfast plates, this was not an isolated event either. None of the meals came out at the same time. Plates would come out at different intervals. Servers took their sweeet time and unless you physically stopped them good luck getting a refill. By the end of our stay we checked out super eearly became our toilet stopped working so we just went to the lobby to kill time before our shuttle showed up(3 hours) they litetally charhe per bag for the bell hop to hold your luggage... and even worse, we came back and thete was NO BODY there. I have never stayed anywhere that charges for this. Parking is $50 per night. We rented a car inside the hotel and unless your back by curfew (9 pm) youre paying! Not worth the m

You'll have a safe place to sleep and return to, and it's close to Waikiki Beach and all major shopping stores, as well as plenty of restaurants nearby. The parking garage was tightly packed, and our parking ticket had limited in-and-out privileges, despite the claim that it was unlimited, and we paid $45+ a night for it. We requested a kettle and waited over 2 hours for it. When we went down to the front desk, their response was, "Make sure you have someone in the room because we don't want to send someone up for no reason." That was the oddest customer service statement we've ever heard. When we finally received a kettle, it didn't work. My parents' room eventually had a broken lamp that they tolerated, and a bathroom sink that didn't drain well, which had to be fixed. The small gym had broken machines. The "free breakfast" was low-quality and strange, with no major breakfast items like scrambled eggs, bacon, or sausage. We stopped eating the "free breakfast" after our first day. Many staff members seemed unenthusiastic and didn't embody the aloha spirit. To get to the basement garage, there are only staircases, and on two occasions, I had to carry my suitcases down while staff members stood by without offering assistance. Considering it's a 3-star hotel, we've experienced better service and amenities at 3-star hotels on the U.S. mainland with 4-star rating reviews. Bed is comfortable and internet is decent.

The hotel staff were very unhelpful. The information they provided for the laundromat was not accurate. They said you can use ur credit card but actually you have to download an app and register an account to use the laundry. This wasn’t stated in the beginning so other hotel guests were confused. One of the guests actually helped us and then we helped another couple because they were fed the wrong information. Also the security at this hotel is lacking. There were people that weren’t staying at the hotel using the laundromat. We informed the hotel staff but he just disappeared and didn’t do anything about it. There’s a few cameras but cameras don’t do anything until it’s too late. Things should be accessed by using our hotel room key card because anybody can just come in which was happening at this hotel. The free breakfast was super uncomfortable. The staff at this hotel seemed to cater to a lot of Caucasian and Asian guests. I am of mixed race and was not treated the same. It didn’t feel like Hawaii. If I was a Polynesian and coming back to Hawaii to visit family this would be very disappointing and discriminative. Rowena from the breakfast buffet was very attentive and friendly, chef Ronnie was very friendly and made sure there was always food .Customer service from the front desk and Leo from the baggage counter was quick and helpful. The hotel is very close to the beach, dining and shopping . My favorite was the housekeeping made our stay very comfortable. We always came back with a clean room and fresh towel to use !

Hotel is 1 minute away from the beach. There is a McDonald's next to the hotel. Lots of places to shop, to eat. it is located in the heart of Waikiki. The mall is a 20 minutes ride from the hotel. No need to call Uber. All you need is a metro card but they call it a Holo card that you can get at any ABC stores.The hotel lobby is beautiful but the room needs a makeover; better lighting, better furniture but overall, I had a great time in Honolulu

The hotel is right behind another row of hotels along the main strip of the beach, but they are aligned in a way that allows for peek-a-boo views of the ocean. I was a little disappointed I selected “ocean view” in my search for a place to stay and we actually only wound up with a view of a triangular section of the ocean between other hotels; I thought we’d have a full, uninterrupted view. The hotel itself was nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a very short walk to the beach, so this is an ideal location if you want to see Waikīkī and be in the heart of the action. Nearby hotels have very loud music till very late in the night. This hotel only has a pool that is not heated, and no jacuzzi. The pool itself is dated and has no nice views around it. Rated as a 3 star hotel but closerto a 4 I'd say. Close to a multitude of shops and restaurants. You can rent a car on site, there's a convenience store. A tour guide desk. A quaint bar. A breakfast restaurant. Free continental breakfast. Pool, beach towels. And a really nice open air lobby.

Great location in a very high traffic central part of Waikiki. The noise level is pretty intense at all times of the day and night, so if you’re looking for quiet, this may not be it for you. The property is a bit dated and some minor updates, for example perhaps replacing the showerhead and other simple updates would be beneficial. Overall, it was a decent day for a couple of days.

Loved our stay here! Short 5 min walk to the beach. Free continental breakfast which is a plus if you are traveling with kids. There is even a rental car place in the lobby their rates were cheaper than taking an Uber.

Service was great. Overall the hotel is good for its price. The swimming pool area was nice, not too big. I had the pool for at least 1.5 hrs before ANYONE came out, which was nice. Salsa, hiphop is what i heard when i popped in. Cool good vibes. The rooms look like they are from 1970. Needs updating. Shower/tub was small but did what it was supposed to do...

Utilized the free ice and water fountain often, save some bottles. Friendly staff. Clean room. Didn't utilize pool, gym, restaurant, etc. so can't comment. Like many hotels on that side of the strip they are older than further west. But that didn't bother me a bit, stayed here before and will consider in the future.
