Found by chance as needed somewhere to stay after visiting a Christmas Lights event. Under new management 3 weeks ago and undergoing refurbishment. The bar and restaurant gave been revamped and a cozy atmosphere and good food. The rooms are a little tired but a work in progress and have a lot of potential. The bed was comfy and the room was adequate for our stay. The breakfast was delicious abd a good choice on the menu Friendly and helpful staff and will definitely go back.

The Hotel and Pub is nice, good selection of food and drinks. Car park was very busy. We stayed for one night, the room was nice however we were woken up at 2:30am to a fire alarm, after around 10 mins it was turned off. There were no staff for the hotel overnight just one of the chefs there and when we asked what happened with the alarm overnight they wouldn’t say. Other than being woken up in the middle of the night it was a nice room and a nice pub

This is a wonderful little inn. Missed my connecting flight out of Gatwick and needed a place to stay. Got a room here and loved it. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and good food with a large lovely outdoor seating area in the back. Don't skip the dessert. I just can't recommend the pavlova highly enough. It's Amazing. As far as the room goes, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The best thing about this place is the service. The inn's staff is incredibly friendly and really goes the extra mile to accommodate their guests. I'll definitely be back.

This is a great place to stay, if you like pigs. It's a great place to stay if you don't. The rooms are in a separate buildng and not above the pub so quiter (some of them do overlook the pub garden). The pub is fine with good food and excellent service. The menu goes above standard "something and chips"and is well presented.

Stayed one night for an airport stopover. Convenient as there is free parking,good food at the location and close to Gatwick. Rooms were comfortable and provided extras. Just found lugging a heavy case to my upstairs room hard work. Staff were very attentive and the manager helped me out of a bind by lending me a charging plug

We had a lovely time, made even better with a dose is sunshine ! The room was lovely, plenty of coffee and tea to keep us going . The staff were great and very helpful. Super garden to sit and enjoy the sunshine

Tatty, chipped paint. Broken toilet seat, and same said people in opposite room. Dreadful breakfast. Room looked liked not been cleaned properly. Bathroom dirty, mould on tile grouting, tiny basin, no mixer taps. Shower kept fluctuating to cold. Towel rail rusty and missing top covers. A hole in the bedroom wall. TV remote broken. Generally yuck! Will never stay there again

This was an excellent place for a 1-night layover! Uou have to walk through the pub to get to the reception area, but I was greeted promptly ang help with my bags up the steps to my cosy room. Check in was super fast, as there was no wait. I got dinner which was extremely tasty! Beyter than I expected and a huge portion. I didn't get breakfast as I had to leave early for the airport. The staff called to arrange an early taxi pick-up which I greatly appreciated as I only had international data access. The room was super well laid out and clean. The bed and bedding was exceptionally comfortable. I am a very light sleeper, so this and the blackout drapes helped. There is no phone in the room, but there was one in the corridor. Staff were not on hand early in the morning so I had to manoeuvre suitcases down 1 flight of steps. I was able to simply leave keys to checkout. I will stay here again unless I have more luggage. I was travelling with one medium suitcase, one carry-on suitcase and a back pack. Tge wifi worked excellently as well. I will rate this place a 9/10.

Sadly, Martson have let the place run into the ground. What used to be a beautiful pub with EXCELLENT food, is now drab, run down and average at best. Food was weak, drinks were meh, prices still reflected an A* pub. rooms had light bulbs out, flakey paint, holes in walls, noisy floorboards in the rooms above. Overall it's not terrible, it's just run down and needs some life putting back into it.

We arrived here around 10 in morning because of a flight. We planned to see if we could leave our luggage here until checking at 3 so we could explore. They so happened to have a room available and put us in there instead right away. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Traffic a bit noisy, and room very hot meaning I had to have the window open. Its a busy road but the morning sun woke me too early, and trucks are very noisy. Pizzas in the restaurant not as good as they were a few years ago.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed me up to my room. The room was of good size with a reasonable sized bathroom. However, there are a couple of points that need attention. Even with the lights on, the room was quite dark and the area where the desk was located was even gloomier. It wouldn’t be an issue if there was a lamp on the desk. The plug sockets are all in the wrong place and there are no USB points. Trying to recharge a laptop, an iPad and a phone overnight was quite a challenge. The staff were all very pleasant and restaurant service was quick and efficient. The food isn’t gourmet but it’s a popular destination. However Breakfast was extremely good. According to a sign in the car park, the Curious Pig is under new ownership. With a little bit of imagination, the Curious Pig could offer a very good alternative to the larger bland hotels in the area due to it’s close proximity to Gatwick Airport. I would certainly stay again.

My rating of 2 / 5 reflects the amount of time we managed to sleep. The bed was very hard to lay on and at 1.00am someone started walking about in the room above us. The boards were noisy and the walking and creaking continued for over an hour.

We arrived late in the evening and so phoned to check on late access. They sent me instructions and an access code to get in. I would say the room was shabby chic, there was a well stocked pot with tea, coffee, sugar etc. The unfortunate thing with bed was that it was on casters so when you tried to get into it the bed moved away from you. (suggest putting the casters in something to stop the bed moving) The morning breakfast and service was absolutely great. If I fly from Gatwick again and use the same airport car park we will visit again.

Nice room, quite hard mattress and not a huge bed, standard double I think. Restaurant food was ok, I ordered checken and ham pie which was mostly empty and a bit bland, however overall everything was okay. Service fine and overall good experience.

Boutique style hotel. Wasn’t expecting too much, but when I requested an Iron and ironing board twice and my request was ignored I was put off. I ate in the restaurant every day and the food was Amazing
Boutique style hotel. Wasn’t expecting too much, but when I requested an Iron and ironing board twice and my request was ignored I was put off. I ate in the restaurant every day and the food was Amazing

The Hotel and Pub is nice, good selection of food and drinks. Car park was very busy. We stayed for one night, the room was nice however we were woken up at 2:30am to a fire alarm, after around 10 mins it was turned off. There were no staff for the hotel overnight just one of the chefs there and when we asked what happened with the alarm overnight they wouldn’t say. Other than being woken up in the middle of the night it was a nice room and a nice pub

The staff were all wonderfully friendly, the pillows were so comfy, shower was fantastic, breakfast delicious. I'll absolutely stay again if I have another local job booking in the future.

Stayed one night for an airport stopover. Convenient as there is free parking,good food at the location and close to Gatwick. Rooms were comfortable and provided extras. Just found lugging a heavy case to my upstairs room hard work. Staff were very attentive and the manager helped me out of a bind by lending me a charging plug

We arranged a late arrival and were sent a code to let ourselves in no problem. Very comfy bed a good nights sleep ahead of our flight from Gatwick. The team were very friendly and chatty while we had coffee. Will certainly stay here again when flying from Gatwick.

This was an excellent place for a 1-night layover! Uou have to walk through the pub to get to the reception area, but I was greeted promptly ang help with my bags up the steps to my cosy room. Check in was super fast, as there was no wait. I got dinner which was extremely tasty! Beyter than I expected and a huge portion. I didn't get breakfast as I had to leave early for the airport. The staff called to arrange an early taxi pick-up which I greatly appreciated as I only had international data access. The room was super well laid out and clean. The bed and bedding was exceptionally comfortable. I am a very light sleeper, so this and the blackout drapes helped. There is no phone in the room, but there was one in the corridor. Staff were not on hand early in the morning so I had to manoeuvre suitcases down 1 flight of steps. I was able to simply leave keys to checkout. I will stay here again unless I have more luggage. I was travelling with one medium suitcase, one carry-on suitcase and a back pack. Tge wifi worked excellently as well. I will rate this place a 9/10.

Traffic a bit noisy, and room very hot meaning I had to have the window open. Its a busy road but the morning sun woke me too early, and trucks are very noisy. Pizzas in the restaurant not as good as they were a few years ago.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who showed me up to my room. The room was of good size with a reasonable sized bathroom. However, there are a couple of points that need attention. Even with the lights on, the room was quite dark and the area where the desk was located was even gloomier. It wouldn’t be an issue if there was a lamp on the desk. The plug sockets are all in the wrong place and there are no USB points. Trying to recharge a laptop, an iPad and a phone overnight was quite a challenge. The staff were all very pleasant and restaurant service was quick and efficient. The food isn’t gourmet but it’s a popular destination. However Breakfast was extremely good. According to a sign in the car park, the Curious Pig is under new ownership. With a little bit of imagination, the Curious Pig could offer a very good alternative to the larger bland hotels in the area due to it’s close proximity to Gatwick Airport. I would certainly stay again.

This is a wonderful little inn. Missed my connecting flight out of Gatwick and needed a place to stay. Got a room here and loved it. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and good food with a large lovely outdoor seating area in the back. Don't skip the dessert. I just can't recommend the pavlova highly enough. It's Amazing. As far as the room goes, the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The best thing about this place is the service. The inn's staff is incredibly friendly and really goes the extra mile to accommodate their guests. I'll definitely be back.

Sadly, Martson have let the place run into the ground. What used to be a beautiful pub with EXCELLENT food, is now drab, run down and average at best. Food was weak, drinks were meh, prices still reflected an A* pub. rooms had light bulbs out, flakey paint, holes in walls, noisy floorboards in the rooms above. Overall it's not terrible, it's just run down and needs some life putting back into it.

Nice room, quite hard mattress and not a huge bed, standard double I think. Restaurant food was ok, I ordered checken and ham pie which was mostly empty and a bit bland, however overall everything was okay. Service fine and overall good experience.

We had 4 drinks all the same and were charged more and more each time and the small rooms have no aircon only fans which were useless

The Rooms are rather on the Small size to be honest... and we booked a deluxe double. The Venue itself was Great...a large pub with massive Beer Garden. The restaurant was nice, but they need to do something about the colossal amount of Flies hovering around as it was quite unpleasant, this was also the case at Breakfast. Staff: some Great, Others, no so much.
