The Glenisle Hotel is located in Lamlash with a stunning view across to the Holy Isle- from the top room. Central, and convenient for other eateries and bars, with a Co-op Market a short walk. Hotel was spotless and comfortable, with staff friendly and welcoming. Carpark was small, but enough space at front to park on road. A nice seat across from Hotel front entrance to take in the view 🤗

We had the premier suite on the second floor overlooking Holy Isle Well worth every penny and the climb up the stairs. Weather was superb allowing us to enjoy the gatden and the Tiki bar to the full. Staff all pleasant, happy, smiley and efficient. Scottish hospitality at its best.

We had a lovely stay at the Glenisle but I would say it is a bijoux hotel rather than a boutique hotel. We were on the top floor and whilst the room was comfy enough it was on the small side. However the portion sizes at Breakfast more than made up for the snug sized rooms. We also had dinner at the hotel and the food was amazing. The hotel is beautifully situated opposite Holy Isle with a lovely beer garden

The Hotel was very easy to reach from the ferry port at Brodick. On arrival, I was checked in by a friendly member of their team and shown up to my room - a single room on this occasion. The room was very clean and warm (it was November!). It had a TV, phone, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a bathroom provided with towels and toiletries. Everything worked. The view from the window was out towards Lamlash Church and the bay. I'd booked a meal for the evening - the food was really good, both in the evening and for breakfast (I had the Full Scottish). There was also a bar with a small choice of beers on draught. Once again, the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the food arrived quickly. I was also pleasantly surprised that on the Saturday night that there was also some live music (a guitarist). The view at the front of the hotel was stunning and directly overlooks Holy Island. The only minor issue I had was that the EV charge-point at the rear of the hotel refused to work for me, although that was probably an issue for Chargeplace Scotland rather than the Hotel - there were other charge-points very close by, all reasonably priced. A good stay and a hotel I would gladly return to.

Good unpretentious little hotel with amazing location and hardworking staff. Rooms are not big, but comfortable and clean. Very good breakfasts a highlight. Atmosphere in bar(s) and restaurant lively and fun in evenings. Thank you for your hospitality everyone at Glenisle.

The Glenisle is a cozy place with friendly staff. We had a Seaview room looking out to Holy Isle which was stunning. We were there during storm Eowyne so had a day where we had too stay indoors but it didn’t spoil our trip as everyone is so friendly and chatty. Joy the owner was always on hand and Daz the maintenance man really funny with a lot interesting chats. My only downside would be is due to it being an older hotel there is no lift and difficult for people with walking disability to conquer the stairs which can be a bit dark in places but Joy was always willing to assist with luggage etc . Great ambiance

A lovely hotel in an idyllic location. The food was excellent, staff extremely warm & friendly and the live music at weekends was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

We had a lovely stay from the 24 to 27 July. The hotel is handy to get to but not in a super busy part of the island so is a great base for exploring (10 minute drive from Brodick). There is a car park around the back for around 5 cars. There were a couple of times we couldn't get a space but there is lots of free parking at the front of the hotel too. We had a standard double room on the top floor at the end of the hall which was good as we didn't have anyone through the wall so it was nice and quiet. The only issue we would say is the sloped ceiling was a bit of a problem as we bumped our heads a couple of times! The bathroom was lovely and clean and housekeeping were in every day to tidy up. The restaurant was great for dinner and we had breakfast every morning which was very nice (and which is complimentary!!) The staff were also so helpful and friendly. We are already planning our next trip back to Arran and will likely stay at the Glenisle Hotel again!

Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly. Food was acceptable. The only tiny issue I had was that although the bathroom was clean, a few tiles around the bath needed the grouting cleaned as it was a bit black. But overall it didn’t detract from our stay and I would recommend the hotel.

Great location within Lamlash, being close to everything and very affordable. Our room was decent size however, we found the stains on the sheets and the bathroom window was held shut with nails (handle must have been broken) and it let a lot of draughts and smells in. The bed mattress also probably needs replacing.

We booked a "Double Room", and on our arrival were taken to the adjacent building (this was not specified in our booking). The room looked like someone's badly maintained and not very clean spare room. Lack of gas supply meant there was no hot water from the tap (so washing our hands in February was painful), the radiators didn't work (instead there were two noisy portable heaters which made sleeping very difficult). There were spiderwebs everywhere, the bed was very uncomfortable. Since this clearly didnt match what we booked, we asked reception for a resolution but they didn't have any free equivalent rooms and didn't want to upgrade us to something better. Overall a real disappointment - the only saving point was the view which was very pretty. I don't doubt the proper "double rooms" in the main building are gorgeous, but we weren't given those. To think that the price is the same between the two is unacceptable. A real shame as this was our first holiday in ages.

On arriving at the hotel the parking was easy at the back of the hotel. The reception had a step down from the car park entrance which just had a yellow strip on the edge no sign warning you of the step (there were a few with the same yellow strip) which i fell down bumped my head hurt my knee and leg. We got tea and biscuits on arrival. The rooms were lovely the view from the window was wonderful but we found a old lottery ticket on the floor in the corner and a used coffee packet in the dish and no filled coffee or milk to use we asked at reception and the man gave us them for the room. The breakfast was great plenty on the menu the server was very pleasant. Great hotel to get round Arran.

The Glenisle is a stunning location on the sea front in Lamlash. Views of Holy Isle, plus a nice walk along the sea front Short drive from the port of Brodick. Friendly staff Nice bar and bistro area plus outdoor seating area. Our room was in the eaves and was quite warm, due to safety the window opened a little way so not much chance of fresh aitmr. Comfy bed and the room was compact. Food was delicious in the bistro and lots of local produce. Breakfast was made to order and a choice of 6 options

We arrived late because of ferry issues, and therefore the guy in reception who was very helpful, was also serving meals. Our room was up 2 flights which did cause my husband issues with his breathing. The room itself was very small, but clean, warm and comfortable double bed. Nice big shower but nowhere to put toothbrushes and toiletries.

The glenisle was a great stay , The room was very spacious with a modern/updated feel to it , everything was clean , view out of window was great ( the beach and holy isle ) especially at sunrise Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from , Beach was right across the road , supermarket 2 min walk and ferry 10 min drive Joy was very accommodating with nothing too much bother as was the owner whom we also met on our 2nd night This property also serves afternoon and evening meals at really great prices and tastes great , Having stayed in many hotels/b&b in arran , this is one of the best we’ve visited and we’ll definitely be back

We stayed on premier room on top floor and the sliding pocket door between the living/bedroom area and the bathroom area did not work. This meant a total lack of privacy when using the toilet.

Absolutely stunning view from our room. Bed super comfortable. No wifi in the room only in public areas (did say this on booking when I checked but just in case you don’t check) We were in room 8. Big room but no decor whatsoever. Curtain for a toilet door. Toilet seat not secure. Dangerous shower going scalding hot then freezing cold every few seconds. Did tell the reception staff. I couldn’t have a body shower due to this. Had to keep dipping my head in and out the shower every few seconds to get the soap off. My husband is a plumber and became aware of what was happening quickly whereas there could be someone in the shower who would get badly burnt unexpectedly. Staff did say they would get this rectified. Staff friendly. Breakfast average.

My husband is a plumber and became aware of what was happening quickly whereas there could be someone in the shower who would get badly burnt unexpectedly. Staff did say they would get this rectified. Staff friendly. Breakfast average.

For the price paid we were expecting a room of a higher standard, not an attic conversion. This was not pointed out at time of booking. We are not particularly tall but continually bashed our heads navigating the space. The dressing table was inaccessible behind sloping ceiling. Built in wardrobe was so small that the door would not close when clothes were hung inside. On first morning at breakfast two blond/grey hairs found on my plate. On second morning of stay, waiting time for breakfast was totally unacceptable. Arrived in dining room 8.30. At 9.10 still waiting. When scrambled egg finally arrived it was stone cold which made it inedible as far as I was concerned. I would not recommend the hotel and would certainly not be staying at it when visiting Arran in the future.

Booked last minute due to the ferries being cancelled following day. Lovely cosy wee hotel. Dinner was lovely, the room was small but really nice. Staff friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the place had a lovely chilled atmosphere. Would come again

Brilliant stay and we look forward to staying again - and have already recommended to family. Rooms large, warm, comfortable and quiet. Views over Lamlash are amazing. The lady who runs the hotel was so incredibly helpful, coffees in the room in the morning, helping with electric car charger - nothing was too much and met with a smile. Breakfast was AMAZING too!

Lovely place, nice location, very friendly staff. We had an early ferry and were offered a breakfast to go, unfortunately no staff was at the desk despite ringing the bell and waiting 15 minutes, so no breakfast, not nice.

A reasonable stay. Good points were breakfast (fabulous) dinner (delicious) and comfort. Staff were both friendly and helpful though at breafast, you had to gently agitate for service. Price is competetive with other hotels but I think its too much. Demand and supply I suppose. I would actually go back, so woukd recommend

We had an amazing stay at the Glenisle on the weekend 3-5th November! The hotel is lovely, spotless & well kept! The staff are second to none! So friendly & helpful, best customer service we have received in a long time. We booked a table for the drag bingo that weekend too, what a great laugh that was. Breakfast each morning was served quick and to our liking (I'm a fussy eater) and nothing was ever a bother. We will definitely be returning to the Glenisle on our next visit to Arran!

Our stay in the Glenisle was unexpected due to our ferry being cancelled. How fab were all the staff ! The check in simple and friendly, and the room was lovely and bright and clean. The restaurant staff and the food were outstanding. The ambience of the lounge for a nightcap was perfect. For me, the breakfast was better than our previous hotel ( Auchrannie). Nathan was also very informative about the ferry issues and displayed an empathy beyond his years. We would definitely book this hotel again. A lucky find in unfortunate circumstances.

The Glenisle Hotel is located in Lamlash with a stunning view across to the Holy Isle- from the top room. Central, and convenient for other eateries and bars, with a Co-op Market a short walk. Hotel was spotless and comfortable, with staff friendly and welcoming. Carpark was small, but enough space at front to park on road. A nice seat across from Hotel front entrance to take in the view 🤗

Looking out towards Holy Isle, this small hotel is a lovely place to stay when visiting Arran. Staff were friendly and very helpful, food was excellent. The garden was perfect to relax in after a hilly round of golf! Highly recommended

Small shower stall hazardous getting in and out. Had a live band that night made it difficult for sleeping. Good location directly across from ocean. Nice views good walking paths around area. Pleasant staff, adequate breakfast selections, however no cold buffet as with most B and B. Quaint room comfortable bed

This hotel was excellent in its location. The room was very good and very clean. However we were very disappointed in the dinner menu and opted not to eat in the hotel restaurant. Whilst the hot breakfast choice was very good, some items were not available and there were limited cold items such as cereals, fruit etc.
