Excellent hotel with large, clean rooms! They offer night-time cup noodle snacks that I wasn't able to take advantage of but would be good after a night of drinking. Relatively easy to find and only about a 4-5 min. walk from Taipei Main Station's M6 or K12 gate. The staff were excellent, friendly and spoke good English so that saved me! They even upgraded my room! I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here or any of the other CityInn Hotels near Taipei station again!

I actually booked two different hotels- in different areas of Taipei, but chose to stay here at the last minute. It turned out that finding and walking to this hotel from the main Taipei MRT station was a lot easier and about a 12-15 minute walk (slow). It is a very unpretentious smaller hotel in what appears to be an old part of town. I quickly realized that hotel prices in Taipei are considerably higher than places like Chiang Mai, or even Narita (Japan)! They supposedly upgraded my room, but it was still fairly basic and small. However, it was clean, had a large modern bathroom with great shower pressure. The sheets and towels were all fresh and it must have been a king size bed, everything was perfect for my one night stay (and would have been okay for 2-3 days). I loved it the next morning, because I walked up the street and had some hot soy milk and a type of crepe with chives, and then proceeded to the national museum about 3 blocks uphill, and then I had a very light lunch at an amazing vegetarian hole in the wall half a block away from the hotel- a really lively and animated restaurant with the owner as the star attraction.
