Bear Crickhowell

Excellent food and drinks. Staff were all very helpful. Dined in the bar which was a bit busy. Would probably book the restaurant if we stayed again. Bedroom was lovely. A little pricey compared to rooms of a similar standard we've stayed in but that's probably down to the popularity of the hotel.

Booked several months in advance to ensure we could get 4 double rooms with one fully accessible room. Checjed a few weeks before due to stay and was advised we had 4 doublecrooms adjacent to each other and all were fully accessible. We arrived separately and the fist 3 rooms were neither adjacent nor accessible. After a tussle with the receptionist, we were allocated one fully accessible room. I appreciate there are restrictions on a property of this age but why a promise that wasn”t/ couldn’t be met?
