One ice machine on the first floor (my room 3rd). No ice bucket in the room. No hand soap in the bathroom. No type of breakfast yet your surrounding comps offer some type breakfast. It’s 2024 customer shouldn’t have to settle and I for one will not. Bad experience and will not stay here again.

We love staying at Candlewood. The hotel is quiet, in a great location, had just been newly renovated, they have one of the few beds that are more comfortable than ours, love their walk-in showers, staff was friendly, and they are also a pet friendly hotel.

The booking was wrong. I thought I was reserving a suite, but ended up reserving a studio. Hotels. Com did help with that. I woke up and found little black bugs crawling over the desk in the room. Then a spider ran across the floor in the bathroom.

Since you asked....The aesthetics and staff were nice. After waiting for room 45 minutes after check in Time it slowed me down to get to an event on time. Then no addtional towels (wash clothes or hand towels or body towel). We had just one towel. No body wash in the shower which I didn't find out until I was in the shower. I wish I knew bc I had already came down for towels. The shower floor and doors wasn't cleaned either. I be would stay again, but would expect a better do over.

My stay was ok. The hotel is in a nice area. I was running behind schedule and I was unaware that they cancel reservations if you do not check in before 6pm. I’m glad I thought to call. The front desk was able to check me in which was great. However, I felt cramped in my room. The room was small which was unexpected. The chair in the room was very uncomfortable so there was only an option for me to sit on the bed. On check out day, I get a knock at my door at 10:39 asking me what time I was leaving. Excuse me?! It was the housekeeper. She had a scarf tied around her head looking and speaking very unprofessional. I told her I was leaving at check out time which was noon. She told me that check out was at 11am. I know when I booked my hotel, newly 3 weeks earlier, check out time stared noon ( that was the reason I chose this hotel). I called the front desk and they confirmed that check out was at noon. When I checked out I told the person at the desk that I was lied to by the housekeeper regarding the check out time. She told me that they “just” changed the check out time. How?! I booked my hotel 3 weeks ago so the housekeeper wasn’t aware of the new check out time from 3 weeks ago? No one informed her? Least to say, I will not stay at this hotel again for the unnecessary disturbance before my scheduled check out time.

Had trouble with TV in room for two nights. Had to contact Hotels.com also contacted IHG. Manager came to room access the problem. Put us in another room call tech support, to get my firestick connected and the stay was good for the last two nights.

I booked and paid through Expedia but the hotel charged $131 on my card. They deny the charges but my bank statement clearly shows the transaction as complete. ...having to dispute the charges now...smh!

It took quite awhile to get checked in, but I think the gentleman behind the counter was new…Apparently we had the third level as our room since we booked through a 3rd party…I asked the front desk manger if we could have a bottom floor since we were in town for a softball tournament…She was very accommodating…She was super nice and gave us a floor on the 1st level…Asked for a late check out and that was granted as well!! Except housekeeping knocked on our door @ 10:15 and we weren’t scheduled to leave till 12pm…No biggie!! Overall great stay and would stay there again! Close to a lot of restaurants

One ice machine on the first floor (my room 3rd). No ice bucket in the room. No hand soap in the bathroom. No type of breakfast yet your surrounding comps offer some type breakfast. It’s 2024 customer shouldn’t have to settle and I for one will not. Bad experience and will not stay here again.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Candlewood Suites Montgomery–North. When I checked into my room, it was obvious it had not been properly cleaned. I immediately went to the front desk, and the employee working was extremely apologetic. She explained there were no other rooms available and that she would have to clean the room herself. She appeared to be the only employee on duty, and I felt so bad for her that I actually helped her clean my own room before I could stay in it. No paying guest should ever have to help prepare their room after checking in. I want to make it clear that this review is not about the front desk employee. She was kind, professional, and did everything she could with the resources she had. She deserves recognition for her customer service and was clearly doing the best she could in a difficult situation. Unfortunately, despite contacting both the hotel and Expedia afterward, I was unable to receive a refund. The lack of cleanliness and the way this situation was handled by management left me extremely disappointed. I hope management takes this seriously, improves housekeeping standards, and ensures employees have the support they need so future guests don’t have the same experience.
