Sunseeker Motel

I booked a room with a queen bed, but wanted a king. The hotel does NOT have king beds. We got a room with a queen and a twin. Even better, I took the queen and my husband took the single. Then we read a note that said if there are 2 people in the room and you use BOTH beds, you are charged an extra $20 AUS. This seems ridiculous, we booked the room NOT the number of beds. Location was fine, it is a motel. It does have laundry which was the most we've paid to date ($10 AUS total for washer/dryer). If I were to return, I would look elsewhere. The extra charge for using the twin bed really is not appreciated nor is it mentioned on Hotels.com when booking.

Small well maintained motel with very clean pleasant pool. Delightful manager who answered all our queries. Would thoroughly recommend

Everything ok but noone there when arrived or later.Could not get in laundryroom.

Although a little outdated the property was clean spacious and well maintained with a swimming pool. Excellent location for shops and dining all at your doorstep. Highly recommended. We were in Apt 7.

Once again we have stayed here at sun seeker. We have never been disappointed. The pluses are, comfortable bed, nice shower and free parking. The hosts are nice and friendly and the location is terrific across the street from Enzos breakfast lunch and dinner restaurant. Many other cafes and restaurants nearby. Super market is handy also. Pub just up the road. What’s negative? Absolutely nothing. Excellent price.

Great location (quick walk to the beach, enzos and the kids park), nice and tidy and spacious rooms. Nice little pool area. Management are friendly and easy to deal with. Will be back again for sure!

Wo diese guten Bewertung herkommen, ist uns ein Rätsel. Die Toilette hatte Ränder und die Dusche hatte Schimmel. Die Matratze war eine Katastrophe. Die Nutzung des zweiten Bettes sollte AUD20 extra kosten (wird vorab nirgendwo erwähnt), wurde uns aber erlassen. Einziger Pluspunkt - die Lage gegenüber vom Strand.

We were very disappointed by our stay in this place, I truly don’t know how it can be so highly rated in Expedia. We booked our stay before we knew there was going to cyclone hitting the area, when we heard in the news that Hervey bay had been affected by it, we called the motel and they assured us that they were running normal and that the area around them was fine. When we got there the next day at 4:30 pm our room was still being “cleaned” and we had to wait, when they checked us in and charged us to only get told then that the power in the area was out and they were running on solar power and that we couldn’t use the air conditioning, which I would have been fine if it wasn’t summer in Australia and really humid after the storm. The situation of being lied to (they weren’t running normally, and the were deceiving to get the business) was made worse by our room being dirty, as I said when we got there they told us our room was still being cleaned despite check in being at 2pm. Our shower still had the used soap from the previous stay, the room floor hadn’t not been cleaned, the toilet smelled like old urine and the whole room smelled like strong body odor (the AC would have been useful) the next day we left without even brushing our teeth because it felt more hygienic than to use the sink. Also, there were loud men drinking until late at night getting roudy and no one did anything, which made the place feel unsafe. A total disappointment, stay away from this place.

Nice and spacious, beds are comfy enough, showers toilets are a little dated, you can get more modern for the same price but it’s a fantastic location right in the middle of the esplanade with plenty of dining choices

Great for a short stay. Disappointed that the only sink was in the bathroom. Hard to wash up.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, plenty of space and clean, although just rather dated. So convenient to walk across to the beach, park and plenty of food options.

Was suitable for what we needed. Not sure I would stay again, rooms are not soundproof and traffic from Main Street traveled to room, mattress could do with updating, same with tv for streaming. But was adequate,clean, tidy

Booked this 3.5 star hotel with friends. Our room was great, big sitting area and a full kitchen (no cookware though?) for $15 more than our friends. Their room was very tiny and would have exhaust fumes from the cars that had backed into the slits. Spend the extra $ if you stay here. Close to dining areas

Room we stayed in was a little dated, but we didn't pay $$$ for it. The staff were were very friendly, and it's conveniently located on the beach. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend.

Lovely little 3star motel. Spacious, super clean and the bed was really comfy. Everything you could want for a few nights stay. Very convenient location. Walking distance to beach, cafe, restaurants, pub and convenience store. Would definitely stay again.

Great hosts welcomed us on arrival & were most helpful with advice on local eateries & whale watching tour options. Apartment accommodation was well appointed & very comfortable. Only downside was some early morning noise from machinery at Caravan Park refurb across the road which will be finished in the near future. Would definitely stay again.

Property was old but clean and utilitarian. All we needed was a hot shower, toilet and bed for the night, but the shower did not work. This was quickly remedied by a call to the landlord, who came and fixed it. Basic, clean accommodation.

Good value for money. Perfect location for what we had planned. Friendly management. Room neat, tidy and absolutely for our one night stay. I’d easily book this motel again.

Sunseeker was unable to communicate with us because we did not have SMS texting availability so we had to contact a relative in Australia to phone them to find out our room number and how to get in. Our second stay the day after was better for us because we personally met with the motel manager when we checked in the first day.

Julie was very kind and left our keys for when we arrived after hours and when we turned them in she was very curious to know what we liked or disliked so she could improve.
