We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. The room was spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant was great. The staff were really pleasant and were very courteous and seemed to be happy in their work. Definitely a place to re-visit. Oh and LOTS of parking space!

Nice place for a stopover for 2 nights while visiting the air museum. Decent continental breakfast with pastries, fresh fruit, cheese, ham and selection of cereals. Cooked breakfast was £10.50 per person and looked like a huge plateful of food. Room was huge, clean and bed comfortable. Not sure about the faux leather pillow covers but maybe just not my taste! Area outside window could do with a quick clear up and possibly cut the shrubs back a little to let some light in. However, the lack of light did mean we got a good lie in. Staff were very pleasant, public areas welcoming. All in all, fully recommend. Oh, and prices in bar were not a rip off unlike some places in the centre of Cambridge!

Last minute booking as working in the area. Friendly staff, nice bar & restaurant, evening meal was delicious and good selection of ales. Very spacious room with comfy bed and good water pressure on the walk in shower. Also had a fridge in the room with complimentary bottled water. Continental breakfast provided the night before to eat in room10/10

Excellent mid week stay, the rooms were clean and nicely furnished, the bed was super comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and the staff were faultless. I would thoroughly recommend The Old Red Lion.

Giving it an average because it served a purpose. The staff were excellent. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok but limited as a continental. Room condition was "well used" and needs some TLC. Lots of cobwebs when I walked in the room. Close to a busy road with noise throughout the night

A great pub and inn. Would totally recommend. Meal was delicious - one of the best we’ve had on our trip. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room with everything you need.

Everything was great, food, location, staff, service, breakfast, room. The only thing I can suggest is the bed and mattress needs updating very noisy (only have to sit on it) and mattress dips into the middle.

The property is in a remote location. Breakfast was continental (toast and pastry) unless you paid an extra fee, and the coffee was not very good. The rooms were fine, but could do with updating, the carpet, furniture and tv were tired and old. The bed was a double with a solid end - my 6ft partner struggled to be comfy as his feet hit the end - would not recommend for anyone tall. There was also only one bottle of water in the (very noisy) fridge and one pack of biscuits. We ate in the restaurant and the food was quite good, check in was easy.

We stayed in room 9 which was very spacious, room was cold especially the bathroom as no heating was on. Curtains hung badly on rail. Curtain rail over door had no curtains on which allowed light in from outside all night. Tv kept turning itself off the whole stay, but was told that Tv had been checked and was working fine, remote for tv had no battery cover on. Continental breakfast included in room rate was mediocre, which is delivered to your room and placed in a noisy fridge in the room which keeps you awake clicking on and off all night. A cooked breakfast is available at £11.95 per person. If you are going to make your guests have breakfast in there room it may be an idea it have a table to eat it off. On a positive note the meal we had in the restaurant was delicious. Would I stay again:- NO

Great location and comfortable room, but our room was a bit tired. Didn't appreciate being woken up around 6am with the bins being emptied outside below our window. We would definitely stay again but ask for a different room.

Stayed here for a business trip and dined here both nights. The meals and draft beers are higher recommended. The room itself was very basic, it felt like a portable cabin rather than room. Mid week a hot breakfast is not offered so we went to McDonald's instead. I am sensitive to sound and found the noise from the adjacent A road a bit disturbing. Keeping the windows closed blocked the noise out suffuciently.

The Old Red Lion Inn was great for my two night visit to the area. I arrived in Cambridge by train and chose to stay at the Old Red Lion as it was on a good bus route to Haverhill. The staff were all friendly and welcoming which makes a difference and important to me anywhere I stay. My room was fine and the continental breakfast bag delivered to my room was just what I needed. The evening meals I had in the pub both evenings were delicious. The best bit of my stay. I would stay at the Old Red Lion again when next in the area. Thank you to all the staff at the Old Red Lion

The Old Red Lion Inn was great for my two night visit to the area. I arrived in Cambridge by train and chose to stay at the Old Red Lion as it was on a good bus route to Haverhill. The staff were all friendly and welcoming which makes a difference and important to me anywhere I stay. My room was fine and the continental breakfast bag delivered to my room was just what I needed. The evening meals I had in the pub both evenings were delicious. The best bit of my stay. I would stay at the Old Red Lion again when next in the area. Thank you to all the staff at the Old Red Lion

Lovely rest stop. Nice to have a private chalet away from the pub and noise. Continental breakfast was amazing which was included. Upgrade to full English for £10.50. My husband said it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Audley End which is why we chose it.

Stayed here for a business trip and dined here both nights. The meals and draft beers are higher recommended. The room itself was very basic, it felt like a portable cabin rather than room. Mid week a hot breakfast is not offered so we went to McDonald's instead. I am sensitive to sound and found the noise from the adjacent A road a bit disturbing. Keeping the windows closed blocked the noise out suffuciently.

Overnight stay to be near Duxford for airshow. Couldn't have picked a better pub/hotel. Only 17 mins from hotel to show on quiet road. Rooms were high quality, large & recently modernised. My room had shower over roll top bath but father-in-laws had walk in shower. If unsteady on feet, ask for separate shower. Food in pub was excellent & reasonably priced. We skipped breakfast as they don't start serving until 9am on a Sunday & we wanted to get off to the show. We were offered continental breakfast in a bag that would be delivered to the room. Declined offer but it looked pretty good. Great location if visiting Duxford museum or the air shows & not far from Cambridge etc

Last minute booking as working in the area. Friendly staff, nice bar & restaurant, evening meal was delicious and good selection of ales. Very spacious room with comfy bed and good water pressure on the walk in shower. Also had a fridge in the room with complimentary bottled water. Continental breakfast provided the night before to eat in room10/10

Bathroom was very basic with no toiletries other than watery hand wash. No shelves in room for clothes. Lighting very poor so impossible to read. Continental breakfast consisted of an airline type bag delivered to your room the previous evening and containing a croissant, orange juice, cereal bar and apple. Very poor. On the plus side, the bed was large and very comfortable. The food in the pub was excellent and the staff very pleasant and helpful

The size of the room, its layout, the amenities, the service, the food, the atmosphere, its convenience and price were fantastic. However, my upstairs room did not have an air conditioner and as it was hot, I opened the window for fresh air. But because the Old Red Lion is close to a busy "A" road, there was traffic noise throughout the night and again in the early morning.

Warm welcome by staff. Shown to room in adjacent building. Room was tired, hanging curtains at one point t the pole fell down. There was a kettle and tea coffee in room and breakfast was out through door late evening in brown paper bag consisting of a croissant cereal bar apple and carton of juice. Room was very hot and no fan. The shower room had pubic hairs on the floor and sink. Meal at hotel was poor too. Very disappointed all round.

The staff tried very hard but there was a slight disorganization about the service. We missed having a rack/bench to put at least one bag on. Also found it difficult with no rack/soap holder in the shower and no hooks or places to put our clothes while showering. Lastly the only mirror in the bathroom was on the opposite wall from the sink. This made it difficult to shave.
