It is a very nice place to stay, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast is second to none and there is plenty of parking. Close to the M6. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing i have some criticism is that the TV is way too small. You had to sit on the end of the bed to watch it. WiFi reception was very hit and miss, but propably accepted due the location of the property.

All very pleasant. Good parking, close to M6. Quiet countryside location however close to town for food. Only negative is that the curtains did not keep out the sun in the early morning sunrise.

Beautiful cottage to stay in, all room had en suite. Plenty of towels, loo rolls etc. Host on hand when needed and very accomodation. Breakfast was good and filling and nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money too

We chose this property as it is within easy travelling distance, reasonably priced and welcomes dogs. Car parking is within easy reach of the property on the front lawn. A larger lawn is nearby for dog walking. We were met by one of the owners who showed us to our room on the ground floor of a converted barn. Access was very good. The room was a decent size, airy, clean, simply and pleasantly furnished and adequately met our needs. Tea and coffee was provided. The bedding was clean and well laundered. There was a throw in case we were cold. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom facilities were fine and straightforward. Shampoo and shower gel were supplied. The area was rural, peaceful and quiet except for the owners' 5/6 dogs who barked loudly and often. The owners were welcoming, polite and helpful. There was a range of breakfast items including cereals, orange juice, tea, coffee toast and a selection of jams/marmalade. The cooked breakfast, which included sausage, bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, fried bread and grilled tomato was ample. We were disappointed that there were no vegetarian alternatives to the meat sausages nor were there decaffeinated alternatives to the tea and coffee. The toast was white bread - we would have preferred brown but we weren't given a choice, however this b&b is very reasonable, so overall we were satisfied with our stay and are happy to recommend Balterley Green Farm.

Really quiet and peaceful in the heart of the countryside yet handy for local towns and the motorway network. The room was very clean and tidy, and I had a great night's sleep thanks to the comfortable bed, the absence of streetlights and the total lack of noise. The breakfast was also first class. I couldn't honestly fault anything.

My stay at Balterley Green Farm was superb, I hope to return soon. As a working farm it is lovely, quiet and peaceful location. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable, spacious and had all that you could need. There is nothing negative to comment on.

Breakfast was amazing and the rooms were squeaky clean, comfortable, the TV and internet worked, people were welcoming and l loved to listen to the owls at night. Woke refreshed and had a wonderful shower!

It was good value for the money but there are rooms for improvement. The bedding wer0e dirty but I noticed before check out there were spare ones. The shower water temperature fluctuated (very small heating package system. No slippers and floor was freezing cold. Breakfast was very limited. Location is good if you were on holiday and wanted to enjoy horse back riding. Overall fair value.

Room beautifully co-ordinated in a rabbit theme. Lovely and warm during the colder weather. Hosts Jo and Peter very pleasant. Hot breakfast cooked to order. Definitely stay again if in the area.

Very friendly host, farmhouse had lots of character, good WiFi. Nice breakfast. Would have been nice to have had decaf coffee and tea options and biscuits. Shower not of very strong pressure but good heat. Excellent value, would return. Thanks

After checking in to my original booking at a hotel in Longton, Crewe, I immediately searched for new accommodation. I found Balterley Green Farms and booked it at approximately 9pm on the night I required accommodation. Upon arriving just before 11pm I was received a wonderfully warm welcome from the hosts and was shown to my room. The room was spotless. Comfortable, cosy and beautifully decorated. A wonderful sleep. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order and tasted great. I can not recommend this B&B enough and will definitely return when business takes me this way again.

I arrived quite late in the evening but Jo was very pleasant and showed me around. The cooked breakfast was really nice and the room was very quiet and comfortable. My stay was just a stopover to pick up my granddaughters and drive them back to Essex for a week.

I found a splendid place for my bed and breakfast on the way to Birmingham. THANKS to the hosts for waiting for my delayed flight and letting me in! I had a wonderful night in the true British countryside bed&breakfast hotel! Very neat and cozy! All the best!

Set in a quiet country lane not far from the M6 - but plenty far enough to be completely rural and peaceful. This was a perfect stop off point for heading north. Good hearty breakfast and very friendly owners. Will definitely stay again.

Super place to break our journey overnight. Cooked breakfast excellent, bedroom quiet, clean & comfortable. Lovely walks on the doorstep & restaurant & pubs a short drive away for evening meal. Jo a welcoming hostess. Thank you. Definitely a place to return ☺️

It is a very nice place to stay, quiet and relaxing. The breakfast is second to none and there is plenty of parking. Close to the M6. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing i have some criticism is that the TV is way too small. You had to sit on the end of the bed to watch it. WiFi reception was very hit and miss, but propably accepted due the location of the property.

The property is great but getting there down a single track ’lane’ with many potholes and no passing places was a nightmare. When we arrived we found out that coming from a different direction was a better option.

Really quiet and peaceful in the heart of the countryside yet handy for local towns and the motorway network. The room was very clean and tidy, and I had a great night's sleep thanks to the comfortable bed, the absence of streetlights and the total lack of noise. The breakfast was also first class. I couldn't honestly fault anything.

Very friendly host, farmhouse had lots of character, good WiFi. Nice breakfast. Would have been nice to have had decaf coffee and tea options and biscuits. Shower not of very strong pressure but good heat. Excellent value, would return. Thanks

Breakfast was amazing and the rooms were squeaky clean, comfortable, the TV and internet worked, people were welcoming and l loved to listen to the owls at night. Woke refreshed and had a wonderful shower!

Friendly and helpful hosts. Rooms are warm, clean and cosy. A very lovely country home. The breakfast is hearty and cooked to order. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

We chose this property as it is within easy travelling distance, reasonably priced and welcomes dogs. Car parking is within easy reach of the property on the front lawn. A larger lawn is nearby for dog walking. We were met by one of the owners who showed us to our room on the ground floor of a converted barn. Access was very good. The room was a decent size, airy, clean, simply and pleasantly furnished and adequately met our needs. Tea and coffee was provided. The bedding was clean and well laundered. There was a throw in case we were cold. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom facilities were fine and straightforward. Shampoo and shower gel were supplied. The area was rural, peaceful and quiet except for the owners' 5/6 dogs who barked loudly and often. The owners were welcoming, polite and helpful. There was a range of breakfast items including cereals, orange juice, tea, coffee toast and a selection of jams/marmalade. The cooked breakfast, which included sausage, bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, fried bread and grilled tomato was ample. We were disappointed that there were no vegetarian alternatives to the meat sausages nor were there decaffeinated alternatives to the tea and coffee. The toast was white bread - we would have preferred brown but we weren't given a choice, however this b&b is very reasonable, so overall we were satisfied with our stay and are happy to recommend Balterley Green Farm.

I have stayed here for at least ten years. The high standards I experienced from the first have been maintained. The rooms are bright, airy, well- appointed. The breakfasts are a treat. The Hollins family has been living here for at least 200 years. The sampler that a family member embroidered in the 1820s at the age of 8, on display in the dining room, is for me a wonderful piece of family history that makes this a special place to visit.

A great one night stop over for a family of 4. Loved the shared kitchen facility and the secure outdoor space to let the dog have a run around. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were really welcoming and helpful. If we were in the area we would stop over again.

I'm a fairly regular repeat guest at Balterley Green Farmhouse. It's my first choice for excellent value in this area; the location is quiet, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the owners are very friendly. Highly recommended.
