Arrived late night, around 1-1:30am. Checked in, then went back to my car to decompress after a long day. Listened to the audiobook of Barbra Streisand narrating her memoir and played Gardenscapes on my phone. Police officer approached my vehicle. Harassed me about what I was doing. I didn’t understand why. Turns out he thought I bought heroin in the hotel and then shot up in my car and ODed. Even after explaining the amusing misjudgment, he still didn’t believe me and kept shining his light in my backseat. I’m glad he checked on me, but it says a lot about the hotel! “It’s obviously a haven for druggies,” he said at one point.
