Stratford Inn

The room was very clean and the staff were friendly. There was a large breakfast area with decent variety mix-ins for the yogurt and oatmeal.

We like hotels that aren’t cookie cutters, and the Stratford Inn reflects the personality of Ashland. We last stayed there in the ‘90s and it’s been updated without losing its character. Very convenient for walking to OSF, shops and restaurants.

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights here. We are 100% puzzled as to how some other reviewers positively reviewed the breakfast. It was all cold items, with the exception of a vat of lukewarm oatmeal. The coffee was often out. The breakfast had zero variation across our 3 mornings there, so you can imagine a boring and underwhelming breakfast experience.

Wonderful!

Jacuzzi wasn't very warm. Jets weren't very strong. Tiling was beautiful, however! Breakfast had no eggs or sausage. Porridge was lumpy and cold. Wheat bread was delicious.
