We have stayed at the Stoney Nakoda many times and the rooms are clean and large, the food in the restaurant is excellent, staff are always helpful. We enjoy staying

Check in was easy, up to the room, it was dirty with an odd smell throughout the halls. The bed was uncomfortable, pillows were nice. The bathroom had been updated and was clean, the toilet had a leak and ran constantly. The wifi cut out continuously. The Cable box cut out every 1-2 minutes tried rebooting and gave up. The in room safe was a safe in the closet on the floor, not secured to anything. The pool was very dirty, from bugs hair & bandaids floating around it was a quick turn around to leave. For over $400/night would have thought standards would be better for cleanliness & comfort.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to me and my 6 year old. The room was comfortable with an amazing mountain view. The pool and slide were fun, and the restaurant had good family friendly options.

The Hotel had apparently suffered a frozen pipe which caused a flood on the floor where our room was. The hallway had dehumdifying fans blowing the three days we were there. The hotel did nothing to compensate for having to walk through the construction zone to the room. The air quality in the hall was terrible as the pink batten inslulation was sticking out of the walls at the bottom where the drywall was removed in order for them to attempt drying the building out. the insulation was not doubt blowing all around the hallway. The room was extemely tired and old and had a very healthy layer of dust in it from the construcion that was going on in the hall and other rooms that were affected by the flood. The pillows on one of the beds looked like that had been used and so we requested new ones. The new pillows seemt be wet as after a while one could feel the dampness and the mattress ended up being fairly wet under the pillow. We booked using "free nights" and were charged an additional amount as the room was listed at some $284.00 per night so we ended up paying more than what the hotel room should have cost in just the overage charges for the room. At best this was an $80.00 a night hotel. This is one of the worst I am sorry to say. Why did I not say anything at the hotel? Simply because it should not have been necessay. I am rethinking the whole hotels.com thing as we had a bum room in Seville in Spain last fall.

I hate giving bad reviews. But we were very much disappointed. TV remote wasn’t working with the TV itself. Smelled natural gas in the hallway very early morning and late evenings, towels and sheets had stains. Very tiny toiletries. The bathroom absolutely needs a cleaning rehab, the sink was clogged. It was absolutely disgusting and on top of it the bathroom smell coming out from the every night was making us awake at night.

Been coming to this place for years, kids love the pool. Rooms are way overpriced, have went up considerably over the years. Hotel is showing wear, furniture damaged, bathrooms lacking proper maintenance, cleaning and repairs. Food was good, no complaints there!

Room was not overly Clean. Asked for the Maid to clean my room but came back that evening and it wasn't touched. Went to front desk and was advised that I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door at 11:15 a.m. I said Yes, I took it down at 11:45 when we left the Hotel. The maid was doing the room across from me when I asked her to do my room. He said it's your word against hers and the sign at 11:15 said do not disturb. I explained again when I left the room and discussion I had with the maid. Pretty much called me a Lier when he turrned and walked away Oct 7 / 2025 evening. The front desk lady asked if she could get me anything. I asked for coffee and sugar. She politely got items and apologized for the other front desks staff behavior. Won't ever Return!!

Bad smell as we walked in. The scent carried into our room. My bed sheet was torn. The bed was comfortable but the room wasn’t clean. The fridge didn’t work. Extremely expensive and not taken care of. We won’t stay again.

The beds ruined it all, they were not only very uncomfortable but they were dirty!! They were full of stains, hair and what felt like maybe sand. I would never stay here again and do not recommend for anyone else.

Most everything was great including the view. The only issue that we both had was with the beds. Very poor mattresses and pillows!! They are beyond being comfortable.

Nice rooms with very comfortable beds. We had a room with a view of the mountains and enjoyed the sunsets. Very good food in the dining area. They have an attached casino they we enjoyed one evening as well. Very nice and friendly staff. Only a half hour from Banff and less expensive to stay

Spent the days in hikes and mostly spent the nights here. Other than wifi didn't use much of the facilities and boy, is the internet bad... it reminded me of the dial-up days. Unreliable and slow. Area around the property is still being developed so a bit messy right now. No option to dine apart from the in-house restaurant unless you drive for 30 minutes. Not bad but for $300/night I'd expect better.

Staff was great. Hotel was ok. The TV did not work the first night, although got fixed. We had people banging on our door and woke us up around 3 am Sat night and were very loud....they were having a party in the hall. We asked them to be quiet as we were trying to sleep but that did not happen until amost 5 am....we did mention things to the front desk but nobody wanted to do anything and I felt that we paid for the room and should have been able to sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone in the room above you, so likely will not stay again.

Staff were friendly and our room was clean. The only negative thing I would say is that the facilities were quite dated and I felt that the price we paid for one night was a bit steep for a 90's vibe.

Hotel was really great. The food at the restaurant was excellent and their staff provided attentive and courteous service throughout. However, I was disappointed by the experience at the reception. Two women appeared unsure about basic procedures. I hope they are new and still in training, as this would explain their lack of preparedness.

We stayed one night. The room was a decent size, with all the needed amenities, beds were comfortable, room was warm so actually put the air on in December, but otherwise very comfortable and clean. The Casino was clean, bright, smoke free, but staff seemed kind of grumpy - just not alot of smiles in the Casino. The front desk staff though were super friendly and allowed us to check in a bit earlier, and the bartender in casino bar was a very nice man, fast, and funny. The breakfast was delish! Really enjoyed our stay!!
We stayed one night. The room was a decent size, with all the needed amenities, beds were comfortable, room was warm so actually put the air on in December, but otherwise very comfortable and clean. The Casino was clean, bright, smoke free, but staff seemed kind of grumpy - just not alot of smiles in the Casino. The front desk staff though were super friendly and allowed us to check in a bit earlier, and the bartender in casino bar was a very nice man, fast, and funny. The breakfast was delish! Really enjoyed our stay!!

Well. We arrived at 7pm and after a long day of travel we were looking forward to getting into our rooms. Check in is at 4pm. However our rooms were not ready when we arrived and we had to wait in the hallways while they finished cleaning. After dealing with the set back (which alone would have been ok) however, we changed and were ready to enjoy the pool. Only to find that the pool was a mess, no towles were available, which turned out ok as we never even went in the water. We found paper towels and other debris floating in the water, and the area around the pool was littered with used underwear and socks. Gross. We let the front desk know, and while the staffer was original sorry, she was quick to offer no perks for our frustration (all we were looking for was maybe a dinner coupon as the hotel is charging $400 a night) So after being let down at the front desk we went to dinner. Where the food was undercooked and the bar unable to make a simple dirty martini. The drinks we did get were subpar, not enough ice and in glasses far to large to enjoy. After we decided to call it a night we went back to our rooms where the lighting didnt work, nor the electrical outlets to charge our phones. The bed was terrible and you could hear every sound being made in the hallways. Needless to say, I would never go back, nor recommend this hotel. Not worth the money.

Room was not overly Clean. Asked for the Maid to clean my room but came back that evening and it wasn't touched. Went to front desk and was advised that I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door at 11:15 a.m. I said Yes, I took it down at 11:45 when we left the Hotel. The maid was doing the room across from me when I asked her to do my room. He said it's your word against hers and the sign at 11:15 said do not disturb. I explained again when I left the room and discussion I had with the maid. Pretty much called me a Lier when he turrned and walked away Oct 7 / 2025 evening. Staff was great. Hotel was ok. The TV did not work the first night, although got fixed. We had people banging on our door and woke us up around 3 am Sat night and were very loud....they were having a party in the hall. We asked them to be quiet as we were trying to sleep but that did not happen until amost 5 am....we did mention things to the front desk but nobody wanted to do anything and I felt that we paid for the room and should have been able to sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone in the room above you, so likely will not stay again.

This was a great place to stay. Staff was excellent. No free breakfast, but breakfast was delicious. Toasted bannock. Mmm.. Very clean and organized. Great comfy bed. Would destay here again.

Hotel cannot find our reservation. Hotel check-in was 4pm but we didn't get our room until 6pm. Restaurant , the ridge, was slow. Took half hour to get menu. We ended up going somewhere else.

Great locaton to stop at. We wanted to visit the Nordic spa but rooms there was $700/night so we stayed there. Its only about 20min from the spa. Gas station is near, Tim Hortons, Tesla supercharging station looks to be coming on to service soon. and its right off the highway. Only complain we have is that the room didnt hv ANY USB chargers. Needed an adaptor to be able to charge. Been at many hotels and lots of the clocks or outlets on the walls with USB charges, but this didnt have 1 at all. So wasnt convenient for us charging out phones, other than that, Its quiet and clean, and comfy hotel. the Washroom is spacious with both tub and separate shower.

Good hotel, clean, food was great. Large group stayed one night as it was close to Golf ourselves and rates were reasonable. Would return no problem. Not much to do around the hotel itself as just off the highway…tons to do if going into Kananaskis or Canmore.

Nice rooms with very comfortable beds. We had a room with a view of the mountains and enjoyed the sunsets. Very good food in the dining area. They have an attached casino they we enjoyed one evening as well. Very nice and friendly staff. Only a half hour from Banff and less expensive to stay

Hotel was really great. The food at the restaurant was excellent and their staff provided attentive and courteous service throughout. However, I was disappointed by the experience at the reception. Two women appeared unsure about basic procedures. I hope they are new and still in training, as this would explain their lack of preparedness.

Went to restaurant in the hotel and when my daughter’s meal never arrived, was just old they forgot to put it in! No remote for tv in the room. Went to desk to see if we could get one. No one ever showed up. Had to go back again the next day and finally got one. Air conditioner/heater not working in the room. I am not sure what’s up with this hotel but service isn’t even on the radar. It’s a one and done. I will not go back

The bed was fantastic! The room itself was alright. The rate which we paid I feel was higher than it should be. Doors to rooms needed painting. Overall the hallway portions of the hotel feel quite industrial. Staff however was all quite good! Minor details. Overall good nights sleep and was quiet. The food in the lounge was not great. I would rate the food average at best. Had a hot turkey sandwich (the bread and overall meal was dry). The mandarin chicken salad was ok. It was just miscellaneous pieces of chicken heated and topped on the salad. And not much chicken!! The berry cheesecake was ok. The cheesecake portion of it was not smooth and quite lumpy. We did not stay in the morning and have breakfast since the dinner was not great.

We stayed here for a week, while touring Banff and I’m so happy we did. First, the staff is amazing! Super friendly and helpful. Second, the room was nice, clean and comfortable and very quiet for a large hotel. The beds were comfortable, the shower had great heat and water pressure. Out the window was a fantastic view of the mountains! The property is home to wild horses which frequent the parking lot and hotel grounds and absolutely beautiful (just be careful if you are returning at night they do cross the roads and parking lot). There are also several really sweet reservation dogs that roam around they don’t bother anyone they just go about their business but it’s a really cool place! Finally we are so thankful we stayed there. Yes it’s a bit of a drive into Canmore or Banff but after visiting both those towns they are jam packed with people, cars and buildings. We go to these remote places to get away from people and these towns are insanely crammed together. Staying at Stoney Nakoda is actually laid back, less crowded and really comfortable! We are super glad we stayed here!

The toilet was loose when you sat on it. The hours for the restaurant needed to be earlier for us. Our room had not been vacuumed and we had spilled some coffee grounds. We managed to catch the cleaning lady and she did come back. We enjoyed the casino and happy hour

Loved the hotel so much it was the first time that me and my family stayed there , I loved how it was just off the trans Canada highway towards Banff Alberta . Best restaurant at the hotel wonderful food and very delicious . We will definitely be back there again next time we go to Banff . The staff are so friendly there , wonderful hottub and beautiful room with a beautiful view
Loved the hotel so much it was the first time that me and my family stayed there , I loved how it was just off the trans Canada highway towards Banff Alberta .
