We enjoyed our stay at the Red Roof Inn in Charlestown. The location is in a quiet area, and we always felt safe. The complimentary breakfast was also a pleasant surprise and tasted good. We stayed for two separate reservations, and our experience varied between the two visits. On the first reservation, we had to wait about 10–15 minutes to check in because no one was at the front desk. There was a phone available to call the front desk employee, but no one answered. When the employee finally arrived, she did not seem apologetic. The second stay was much smoother as we were able to check in right away. We also ran into an issue after paying in full through Hotels.com. The front desk staff insisted we pay again and said it would be refunded within one to three business days, but that refund never happened. We contacted Hotels.com customer service, and they were unable to reach anyone at the Inn by phone. After we checked in again, the manager was finally able to refund our money. Overall, we were able to get a good night of sleep, and we really appreciate that Red Roof Inn allows pets to stay for free.

Room was clean, breakfast bad, bed comfort fair, no ice machine. No lighting in parking lot. AC good. Shower good. 1 washer and 1 dryer available to use, if you could get it while not in use by other guests. Overall fair considering price.
