Great reception is manned. Didn’t like that it was £10 a bag to leave any luggage after 1pm only free until 1. Didn’t bother left it at coach station instead

5 floors up and no elevator No internet on the 5th floor,, had to go down to the reception every time. Morning breakfast would have been nice. Comfortable bed even if the TV didn’t work well.

Decent place to stay, just a shame there is no lift. A great location and the staff were friendly. My only point would be they need to have better luggage storage.

Adequate Room for the price, no lift so a trek to top floor, good reception staff allowed 30 min early check in and left luggage on departure day, remember photo id for check in. Local pubs and macdonalds at paddi g for breakfast.

Friendly staff, allowed me to use toilet and store my luggage for the day when I arrived at 8am. A shower would have been nice after a 17.5 hour flight but they did not have the facilities. Stair case is very narrow which was difficult to get my 32kg suitcase to the top level (5 floors). Other than that I had a positive experience.

CONS: No elevators/lifts, so many stairs. If you are not in good shape, or if you are older, or if you have small children this is not for you. There are no ground level rooms and there are soooo many stairs to get to your room Rooms are so small, and so is the bathroom. We equated it to our RV bathroom. No AC, only a fan. We did have a window that opened but the noise from the street was so loud when we opened it. Was a busy street all night long You have to give the staff back your room key each time you leave the property. You cannot take it with you. And when we came back we just told them our room number and they handed us a key without checking IDs. New staff each time we came back. Super sketchy to me. Anyone could have just gone to our room and stole our stuff PROS: price. The price is something you cannot go wrong with. If you do not plan to stay in your room for any real length of time and just need a bed to crash on this is for you Staff is friendly and gives you recommendations on places to eat and things to do So close to Paddington Station

It very cheap hotel considering the surroundings( expensive area I think), very convenient location! You get what u pay for. The stuff is doing their job, I was try to store our luggage there but too expensive and only 4 hours. I find another one close by, it’s cheaper. I give 4 stars is because it’s base on this price range.

There for just one night. Impressed by the cleanliness of my room, bathroom etc. for a budget hotel.

Horrible experience overall. Top points: 1. Extremely inaccurate pictures for the Double Bed Ensuite. Carpets stained, bathroom not updated, very uncomfortable beds. 2. Black mold in the bathroom. 3. When we asked for a refund for the night we stayed in the room with dangerous mold, the staff made it very difficult to talk to the manager. We never got the refund. They showed us two rooms we could move into after the moldy shower incident, and not one room looked like the nicely remodeled images shown in the picture. When I complained to the person at the front desk, they smiled and said, “we can’t put pictures of ALL our rooms on the listing.” In the room we were moved into, the wood window frame was so rotted that we could feel a breeze when the wind blew despite the window being closed. I’m extremely disappointed with this stay. It felt very dishonest to only put their two best rooms on the listing. I would never have booked this hotel if I knew what the state of the rooms would be.

The room was dirty, walls covered in marks, carpet felt grubby underfoot, and fan vent in bathroom fluffy with dust. I didn’t notice till later in the evening the cups were greasy, unclean. Same with the hair dryer, it was full of dust/dirt which I had to clean before using. They have a check/price list in rooms for costs if damage occurs. I made sure they checked the room before I left. The photos do not reflect the reality at this hotel. The only redeeming part: the lovely lady on reception and the location.

This hotel was so grubby and the room had an awful foul smell. It looked nothing like the photos. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

My stay at the Lancaster Court Hotel was rather disappointing. The overall condition of the hotel was far from satisfactory; the paint was crackling, and the amenities seemed poorly maintained. The room provided to me was exceptionally small, which made for a somewhat uncomfortable experience. One of the most concerning aspects was the state of the toilet, which appeared to have been neglected. It was in a disgusting condition for three consecutive days until I brought this matter to the attention of the hotel staff. Moreover, I must admit that the value for money was simply not there. The rates charged for the stay did not align with the overall quality and condition of the hotel and its facilities. While I understand that issues can arise, and some things might be beyond immediate control, I expected a higher level of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall experience considering the price I paid for my stay. On a more positive note, the staff was responsive to my concerns after I reported the bathroom issue, but it would have been preferable not to have encountered these problems in the first place. I hope that my feedback can be taken constructively, as there is certainly room for improvement at the Lancaster Court Hotel. Overall, my experience was not up to the standards I had anticipated, and I am hesitant to consider another stay unless these concerns are addressed adequately. Sincerely, Jim

The building is very run down. The room was clean the the hallways were very run down. The shower had no power so washing my hair was really difficult. The hotel was noisy. You had to leave your room key every time you leave which I found very strange.

We had a nice time in London allthough not thanks to the room at Lancaster Court. First of all we did not get the room we booked and the staff wouldn't do anything about it. Our Street View room was instead a room in the basement/half floor down with a view straight into another building on the backside. The room smelled from mold and since the lack of ventilation it was also hot. The bed was narrower than on the room we booked. A narrow "double bed" with my 17 year daughter was not what we had booked. We also found what we believe was a german cockroach in the room. Luckily we did not have to spend so much time in the room since we went to Oasis and did a lot of shopping down town.

Small but clean rooms and very friendly staff.

The hotel room was very basic. No shelving in the shower or bathroom. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Furniture, curtains etc were very basic. No lift and the stairs are very steep and dirty. Carpets were old and dirty. Not a place where I will stay again.

The location of the property was great. Close to Paddington Station and restaurants in the area. Hyde Park a short walk away. Room was on the small side and hot n stuffy. The bathroom window opened into the bathroom which was not ideal and the only form of ventilation to the room. On the upside the room was serviced daily. The staff were fabulous and very helpful. We would stay again as the positives outweighed the negative.

This property was perfect for a one night stay in London. Our room was very small and tight bathroom.

Very small room with a very small bed , very dated , bathroom looked 1970s a fan provided but no accessible plug sockets in total 3 outlets of which one had the TV plugged in which didn’t work , the sockets were in very awkward locations

Room was clean and basic comfy bed but a wonderful surprise a balcony city view we sat out there lovely. Not all rooms have so check first🙂

Very small rooms !!! We didnt have even a space to open the suitcases on the floor. Very good location tho. Paperwalls, can hear people walking and talking. Stains on the mattress. Clean upgrader but small bathroom. Nowhere to put your stuff, no closet, no hangers..etc.

The room was good and catered for all basic needs, such as kettle, tea, coffee, soap, shower gel, a towel, hairdryer and TV (which didn't work for me but usually don't use anyway). The bed was not too soft and there was uninterrupted water supply. Downfall was the noise, as the property is adjacent to a main road and the window not 100 tight to keep things quiet. In addition ever time water was used in rooms, there was a loud noise from the boiler/water tank which woke me up multiple times at night. Great location near the tube and front desk is covered 24 hours.

Stay was so nice all staff was wonderful and helpful room was clean and tidy however the bed was a little hard however that’s just a personal preference

The staff were very helpful and kind. I have a bad knee and they relocated me to a ground floor room and helped me with my luggage. The room was small, but very clean.

Rude manager, apathetic staff. Felt like a shakedown, they aggressively warn you not to break the TV etc. and they charge a lot of money to keep your luggage. Exploitative London landlords.

Check in was delayed by 1hr due to shortage of staff but was able to leave my bags at reception and come back later and check in to my room. Friendly reception staff! Very clean room, a little small but clean and well decorated, it had all the amenities that I needed, small but clean bathroom too. the bedroom had a fan luckily as it was really hot the weekend I visited. I would definitely stay there again, great price and good location too. Lots of restaurants close by, 5-10min walk from Paddington station and on a good bus route as well.

If I could give this property no stars that’s what I would go with. We had stayed just down the street from this hotel the week before and the difference was night and day. First the taken a scan of both guests id’s which is very uncommon and weird, and then the charge you £100 hold on your credit card. They request that you give the key back to them when you leave the hotel for the day, as we were being told this they handed the wrong key back to a guest that was returning. We were on the fourth floor and the stairs leading up to the room were disgusting, covered in dirt. The room itself appeared to be clean. The mattress was a 3 inch foam topper on a box spring, the pillows were an inch thick and that is no joke. The tv constantly cut in and out. Honestly just avoid this place, the bad reviews were correct on this one, their are plenty of other options in this area just please avoid this place

They took 100£ of my card and said it will be returning after my stay its to cover damages if they happen. I checked out long time ago they still haven't refunded me and were extreme jerks towards me when i asked for my refund. I did not get refunded Horrible service and staff rude when you want your money refunded there was no damage in room they confirmed that after i left my baggage in their storage that they charged me 10£ for luggage storage So nothing is free in this hotel there was no information in room except how much thing cost if you break them. I suggest people look for other hotel

Very near from Paddington station. Walking distance from Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. Nice budget hotel for short stay. Within walking distance from multiple restaurants and also Hop on Hop off bus stops.

Overall a nice stay and excellent value for the price. Close to paddington train station and hyde park and the staff were helpful and kind.

Great hotel in central London

The hotel was exactly as advertised - basic but clean/safe/friendly in an extremely convenient location. Just what I needed this trip. - My only complaint at all would we the lack of free/ez luggage storage.

Is the hotel luxurious? No. But it is good value for money: 5min distance from Paddington station (which is super, specially for travels to/from Heathrow), everyone in the staff is lovely, cleaning is immaculate and the location is calm. Highly recommend.

No elevator. No breakfast. Floormat in the was stainy. Bathroom has broken floortiles, which was covered by plastic mat. Some kind of waterpump next to my room, that was noisy all the time. Windows wasnt sealed, the Noice from the street was very annoying when you try to sleep. Needs to Renovate the whole building. Cleaning was good. The location was great.

Very close to underground stations. Very clean and room was modern and recently updated. 24hr reception. Shower was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No breakfast, not unusual these days, which is a shame.

lily the receptionist was amazing so friendly and helpful so is an asset to the hotel i tell you amazing customer service skills and the other staff friendly enough our hotel room very disappointing old small no space and the bed so creaky and uncomfortable the shower was dangerous as no bath mat and the towels don’t even cover you there tiny the tv awful and temperamental and no bbc or itv channels gutted we didn’t have a balcony room as the hotel is lovely looking as it’s old victorian no lift also it is advertised with breakfast on trip advisor and on there website but there is no breakfast even on there business card it says breakfast great location 4 min walk from lancaster gate tube station and about 10 mins walk from paddington 10 minute walk to hyde park

The hotel was charming, clean, safe and in perfect location. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Located a block from Paddington Station for easy access to all attractions. About 1/2 mile from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s clean and the neighborhood is perfect which is what my daughter and I were looking for.

The staff was really friendly, helpfull and accommodating. The room was clean and we got it cleaned when we wanted it. The hotel felt safe and in a good and central neighborhood. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable because we could feel the springs and my boyfriend’s back was hurting after the first 2 nights. The room was small but the size of room was good enough because we was only sleeping in it. We missed an elevator upstairs to our room. If you are bringing large suitcases with you on your stay then you will be missing the elevator more than we did because we only brought small bags with us. Overall it was a good and nice stay that we enjoyed but the hotel and price are matching each other good. A Nice budgetfriendly hotel for couples without childrens or big expectations.

I liked the quaint feel of the hotel and area. I liked the room. I didnt like the fact we were on the very top floor about 7 flights if stairs and no lift. Good job i didnt have a disability! I didnt like we couldnt have breakfast there either. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great hotel—I had a room with a wonderful balcony. It was lovely. The staff was excellent, very friendly, helpful. The location is close to the park, which is wonderful. It's also close to Paddington Station, which is a mixed blessing. Very easy for getting around, but a bit stressful to traverse. I ended up using the Lancaster Gate stop on a different line—which is also nearby—more often. The Pride of Paddington around the corner from the hotel is a fantastic place for breakfast. Delicious. The only thing I'd say someone should be aware of is that the hotel—and maybe others in London—get skittish when it comes to bringing guests to your room. It happened to me and I saw it happen to someone else. One guest is allowed; more than one is not. It was a little weird to have the night attendant react with concern about having a friend over. But again, that may be a city policy. And otherwise the staff could not have better. I would definitely stay here again. In fact I hope to.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. My room was nice and cozy and had everything I needed. Room was on fifth floor so there was lot of stairs but I didn't mind it. Room was small but very clean and cozy and cute! View from fifth floor was also really nice. Staff was really friendly and helpful and there 24/7. You need to leave room key to the lobby when leaving the hotel but this wasn't a problem for me, at least I didn't have to worry about losing it. Wifi in hotel is really good also! Only thing I missed in the hotel was breakfast, but there's many good places to get breakfast around the hotel. Location is amazing, really close to Paddington station and Hyde Park. Overall I had a great experience in this hotel with really affordable price and would definitely book here again :)
