Returned to the hotel around 1 am and front desk didnt even tell us the power was out. Key card didnt work to get us in the room at that time as the power was off so we were able to get in our room without it as it wasnt locked. Microwave was beeping when we went into room but power was not working. Went to speak with the front desk no compensation was offered and was told to unplug the microwave myself. This is a huge safety issue. Power finally came back on around 430am and woke us up as all the lights came on in the room. When checking out asked front desk about compensation and staf of was very rude. Contacted corporate and at this point they aren't issuing a refund either. Will not stay with or reccomend Red Roof Inn ever again.

A good hotel for the price. Clean, large rooms, nice refrigerator, newly renovated, budget hotel. Only negatives was neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy, it was located right off interstate so a bit loud, heater/air condition ran loud, and the window had a draft. But none of that would deter me from staying again for the price.

I enjoyed my stay even if it was just for one night. I felt the price was fair and it was nice to stay outside of the city of Chicago, and still remain relatively close with an easy drive. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful.

Stayed here for a concert in Chicago. It's far enough away not to deal with the traffic. However this is the weirdest hotel experience, as it was either an A or a F. The area around it seems moderately safe. We didn't feel an issue, but we were in and out rather quickly. The parking lot is nicely lit. The interior of the lobby and elevator have seen much better years, but no major issues. The room itself, the door was heavy and felt like it didnt want to open or close, but no safety concerns. The furniture, tv, and bed seemed very new...and the room was pretty clean, until we checked the sheets. There was a very large brownish-red stain on the underside of the sheet, and a few spots here and there. There was also stuck on food in the sheets we had to flick off. A few dead bugs in the corner we swept away to be sure they were completely dead. But the biggest issue was the glaring water damage in the bathroom above the shower. There was most likely mold of some kind there, we almost left but the hours of driving and the new comfy mattress (tho the zip mattress cover was stained) gave us pause to stay. If you are coming to Chicago for something and need something that isnt 400 dollars a night and where you have to park down the road, its actually pretty nice.

We rested well as we had a family event. At reception we were well served.. I just think the hotel lacks a bit of ventilation.. but all good.thanks
