Hotel St. Olav is the first building to be completed in the new university hospital, St. Olav's Hospital, in Trondheim. It was completed in the autumn of 2004 and was awarded the Trondheim Municipality's Building Practice Prize in 2007. The Nidelven with the river promenade is close by. It goes all the way to Trondheim Spektrum one way and to Bakklandet with Bybroen and Lykkens Portal the other way. Here is the bustling life with many shops in an old town with a cozy atmosphere. On the opposite side of the river, Nidaros Cathedral towers over the terrain.The city center is a 10-minute walk away, and there are good bus connections to Torget, Solsiden, IKEA and City Syd. Here you will find good shopping opportunities, SPA center and many outdoor and indoor activities.
