Really nice place and fairly close to the front gate. It's super central in the old town. Parking was busy, but not as bad as Dubrovnik. Music at night was a little loud, but the bed was comfy and was able to tune it out. The staff were superb and the complimentary breakfast was pretty amazing.

Hotel Villa Duomo is very conveniently located in Old Town Kotor. It is a charming place that adds to the experience of visiting Kotor. There is no driving in old town so you’ll need to pull your luggage through town and up some stairs. I did wish there was more privacy for the tub in room 13, but we were made aware of the tub being outside when we made reservation. The complimentary breakfast on the terrace was a lovely start to every day.”5 K

Beautiful property but very challenging apartment #11. Elevator available for only 2 out of 4 of the floors to travel to attic room. Bedroom was tiny in loft with very difficult steps and no head-space. There was no room for any furniture so all clothes had to remain downstairs. Very little bed covering provided. Bathroom was lovely but very impractical with no counter space even though there was room for a piece of furniture. Living area was not usable - only one luggage rack, a tiny wardrobe with no shelves, no closet, and poor lighting everywhere. Loud music from outdoor bar next door lasted well past midnight. Hotel reception staff was very nice but we had to have her assist with problematic tv numerous times. Breakfast was delicious on outdoor patio. Would not recommend this hotel unless other rooms are much better but still have the music noise issue.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Villa Duomo. The room was very comfortable and the staff was great. Some of the rooms face the church so you will hear the bells ring, but for a few days on vacation I thought it was nice to hear. The location is very central and easy to find (I was a bit worried when looking at the map, but it really is a straight shot from the gate). Parking just outside the gate was easy and the walk was relatively short and flat.

we had a great stay. everyone was very kind and helpful. great communication. very clean and comfortable room. only reason for a 4 star in property was bec you had to go thru some steps to get to the lift. if you can carry your luggage, then it shouldn’t be a problem. highly recommended

Fabulous old hotel inside the old city walls. Renovated, but showing some wear. Location, staff and breakfast were excellent. Note that some websites claim that this hotel offers parking or a sauna; both are false. Nearest parking is 1km away and 2€ per hour. We stayed in a deluxe suite on the top floor and loved it. Highly recommended, but pricey.

Villa Duomo is a beautiful building right in the middle of the old town so a fantastic location to visit everything in Kotor. Lovely breakfast on the terrace. Be aware though that there is an open air bar next door which plays loud music until 1am (there are double glazed windows on the rooms which helps to minimise the noise though) and parking is outside of the old town which can be very busy at times so plan to arrive after 5pm to find a space more easily. We loved staying right in the centre of the old town.

We had a large and beautiful room at the top of a charming historic building, with views over the heart of Old Town Kotor. Very close to all the attractions, bars and restaurants. Good onsite breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. No parking due to the location, but the public lot just outside the closest gate in the walls worked fine.

This charming hotel is right in the center of it all. We just had to step outside and we were close to dining and shopping. Perfect location in Old Town Kotor. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was a bit firm for us but still comfortable. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The morning breakfast was so delicious and they cook made us lattes when we were ready. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and there was a nice variety of food offered. All hotel staff were extremely professional and friendly. We really enjoyed talking to them and they went out of their way to make us feel at home.

A nice quiet room. The dining area was outside and it did not have a heater so it was very cold. The selection of food was very basic and the same each day, no selection for vegetarian, no milk alternatives, ok but basic like a 3* hotel in Italy it reminded me of. The breakfast lady was lovely but she was cold also. The room was spacious and nice. Although it had a jacuzzi bath, the jacuzzi didnt work and the sink leaked from the tap. Some i.provements needed and it could be a lovely hotel stay. Our 4* hotel in Dubrovnik was much better although we did prefer the location of Kotor.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is in a perfect location to enjoy all that Kotor Old Town has to offer! The hotel staff went above and beyond to help make our stay wonderful! The attic room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are some stairs which we were quite comfortable with. Breakfast was delicious with made to order eggs, bacon and omelettes as well as breads, cheese and vegetables!

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Villa Duomo. The staff was lovely and very helpful. I stayed in the attic room which was one of the most unique rooms I have ever stayed in. The room is literally the attic and the bed is lofted above the main floor area. The place was very clean and centrally located. Housekeeping did a good job each day. It was a little odd not having the tv near the bed but it forced me to adopt proper bedtime habits because once you went upstairs to the bed it wasn’t natural to keep going back down. I also note that the shower doesn’t get truly hot- it’s lukewarm at best which was ok given the weather but it stood out in comparison to other hotels I stayed in during my trip. The hotel is right in the middle of everything so it was very easy to get to tour pick up spots and to walk around old town. The only caveat I have is to listen to the reviews. They are all absolutely correct when they say it is loud. I needed noise cancelling headphones to sleep and even with them in it was not easy the first two nights. I ended up staying up late one night (not by choice) and taking a nap midday to make up for lack of sleep. The noise mainly comes from music playing in the various squares. It’s not bad music but if you need quiet, this is not the hotel for you. Everything else about the hotel - price point, free breakfast, location is great. The people running the hotel are lovely.

Начну с плюсов. Девушки на ресепшене приветливые, та которая была в день заезда и выезда, вообще отличный пример как должны встречать гостей, ей 5+. Далее к минусам. Брал номер люкс за 200 евро в сутки, дизайн типа как в старом городе, но больше похож на гараж без ремонта, плюс много пыли. Подушки не удобные. В номере было холодно, пол ледяной, кондиционер работает только на охлаждение. Завтраки очень скудные, яичница и помидоры с огурцами, и сыр, круасаны из не прожаренного теста, гренки вымочены в масле. Далее главный минус, это шум на улице, музыка орет до часу ночи, и это как то можно терпеть, но прямо за моим окном находится огромный блок кондиционера на весь отель или ресторан, от него огромный неприятный гул, который усиливается на кровати. Первую ночь вообще почти не спал, далее спал в наушниках и включал белый шум, стало легче. По замерам телефон показал почти 50 децибел шума, при норме не больше 30. И это люкс номер, в котором заявлена шумоизоляция! Так же тут окна выходят на стену, до которой пол метра. Т.е жил реально как в гараже. Просил вернуть деньги и уехать раньше, но менеджер пошел в отказ. В общем не рекомендую этот отель. Единственно если вы напьетесь в баре рядом, и пойдете сразу спать, то можно и остаться здесь, в другом случае нет.

Otel konum olarak tam merkezde ama temel hizmetleri bile alamadığın bir otelde konumun çok bir önemi kalmıyor maalesef. Öncelikle personel yok, asansör sadece 2 kat için çalışıyor. Girişten itibaren bir sürü merdiven çıkmak zorundasınız valizlerinizle ve yardım edecek personelleri de yok. Odada banyo giderleri bozuk. Küvetin içi, lavabo saç dolu wcleri inanılmaz pisti 2 odanın ikisi de inanılmaz pisti. Önceki misafirlerin kullandığı bardaklar bile odadaydı. Personel iletişimi çok zayıf asla çözüm odaklı değiller. Oda pis diyoruz verilen cevap ise “üzgünüm” giderken de bir dahaki konaklamaya %50 indirim verdiler ama maalesef bir daha tercih etmem söz konusu değil.

The hotel is very well situated but our stay was marred by poor sleep. The good points of the hotel are: - Location - friendly staff - antqiue period furniture and rooms. I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Villa Duomo. The staff was lovely and very helpful. I stayed in the attic room which was one of the most unique rooms I have ever stayed in. The room is literally the attic and the bed is lofted above the main floor area. The place was very clean and centrally located. Housekeeping did a good job each day. It was a little odd not having the tv near the bed but it forced me to adopt proper bedtime habits because once you went upstairs to the bed it wasn’t natural to keep going back down. I also note that the shower doesn’t get truly hot- it’s lukewarm at best which was ok given the weather but it stood out in comparison to other hotels I stayed in during my trip. The hotel is right in the middle of everything so it was very easy to get to tour pick up spots and to walk around old town. The only caveat I have is to listen to the reviews. They are all absolutely correct when they say it is loud. I needed noise cancelling headphones to sleep and even with them in it was not easy the first two nights. Property is very well located in Old Town, you are in middle of everything, and the staff is wonderful. The only thing to be mentioned is that the bathtub is in the middle of the living room so you have no privacy since it has no doors. But the toilet is private and has a door. I thought it was a little unusual. Pay attention on room pictures. I’m not sure if all the rooms are the same but mine was like that. Other than that everything was great and I recommend.

We had a large and beautiful room at the top of a charming historic building, with views over the heart of Old Town Kotor. Very close to all the attractions, bars and restaurants. Good onsite breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. No parking due to the location, but the public lot just outside the closest gate in the walls worked fine.

This charming hotel is right in the center of it all. We just had to step outside and we were close to dining and shopping. Perfect location in Old Town Kotor. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was a bit firm for us but still comfortable. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The morning breakfast was so delicious and they cook made us lattes when we were ready. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed and there was a nice variety of food offered. All hotel staff were extremely professional and friendly. We really enjoyed talking to them and they went out of their way to make us feel at home.

We were made so welcome and comfortable at Hotel Duomo. The location is perfect, so easy to get around the old city and for us within easy walking distance of the bus terminal. Everything was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was well supplied with little useful extras that you might have forgotten to bring and toiletries. Loved our stay at this wonderful boutique hotel. Nikolina - the receptionist was super friendly and detailed, gave us tons of tips to make our trip memorable. The location of the hotel is perfect, right next to the ancient clock tower / square. The building of the hotel has a beautiful antique vibe and I believe it is 18th century build, which makes it even more unique. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They truly made you feel welcome. We asked for restaurant recommendations and we went to two of them. They were excellent. They helped arrange a ride to the airport for us and the driver was prompt and very nice.

Recently stayed at Hotel Villa Duomo and our experience was made wonderful by Nikolina. She was very communicative with me before we arrived, arranged our airport transfer on our last day, and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. She is so friendly and amazing, I can’t say this enough! The hotel is an amazing a piece of history and I would definitely go back! It was clean, the staff were very nice, breakfast on the terrace was amazing, it’s central in old town Kotor and there is everything you need very close by.

Really nice place and fairly close to the front gate. It's super central in the old town. Parking was busy, but not as bad as Dubrovnik. Music at night was a little loud, but the bed was comfy and was able to tune it out. The staff were superb and the complimentary breakfast was pretty amazing.

Thisis a lovely hotel with a fantastic breakfast and very nice staff. Right in the heart of the old city. Have to park pretty far away if you have a car and have to pay for the parking. The only reason we did not give it a 5 is because we had the "attic" room which was lovely but the bed was on second level in the room and it had a low celing. It is a really charming place though and we would stay again but not in the attic room!

Villa Duomo is a beautiful building right in the middle of the old town so a fantastic location to visit everything in Kotor. Lovely breakfast on the terrace. Be aware though that there is an open air bar next door which plays loud music until 1am (there are double glazed windows on the rooms which helps to minimise the noise though) and parking is outside of the old town which can be very busy at times so plan to arrive after 5pm to find a space more easily. We loved staying right in the centre of the old town.

Kotor isn’t a great place. It’s very touristy and it’s spoiled by tourism. (Perast is much nicer - quieter.) This hotel is expensive for what it is - only worth staying here if you want to be in the centre of a noisy, busy old town.

A nice quiet room. The dining area was outside and it did not have a heater so it was very cold. The selection of food was very basic and the same each day, no selection for vegetarian, no milk alternatives, ok but basic like a 3* hotel in Italy it reminded me of. The breakfast lady was lovely but she was cold also. The room was spacious and nice. Although it had a jacuzzi bath, the jacuzzi didnt work and the sink leaked from the tap. Some i.provements needed and it could be a lovely hotel stay. Our 4* hotel in Dubrovnik was much better although we did prefer the location of Kotor.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is in a perfect location to enjoy all that Kotor Old Town has to offer! The hotel staff went above and beyond to help make our stay wonderful! The attic room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There are some stairs which we were quite comfortable with. Breakfast was delicious with made to order eggs, bacon and omelettes as well as breads, cheese and vegetables!

Fabulous old hotel inside the old city walls. Renovated, but showing some wear. Location, staff and breakfast were excellent. Note that some websites claim that this hotel offers parking or a sauna; both are false. Nearest parking is 1km away and 2€ per hour. We stayed in a deluxe suite on the top floor and loved it. Highly recommended, but pricey.

Villa Duomo is a beautiful building right in the middle of the old town so a fantastic location to visit everything in Kotor. Lovely breakfast on the terrace. Be aware though that there is an open air bar next door which plays loud music until 1am (there are double glazed windows on the rooms which helps to minimise the noise though) and parking is outside of the old town which can be very busy at times so plan to arrive after 5pm to find a space more easily. We loved staying right in the centre of the old town.

Skip this place. We were put in a room in the “attic,” which required an absurd journey through reception, outside into an alley where restaurant staff sat smoking, up some stairs, back inside, up an elevator, and then up MORE stairs. The room itself was a disappointment. Barely any lighting, and what little existed was a horrifically white, sterile glow that made the place feel like a hospital waiting room. The bed was in a loft that required climbing stairs and ducking to get into. To top it off, club music thumped through the night until the early hours, so good luck getting any rest. Breakfast was somehow even worse. I ended up eating a packaged yogurt and boxed chocolate milk with a straw. The coffee machine was clearly designed for a single-family home, not an entire hotel, and constantly needed emptying and refilling. The coffee itself was tragic. The “hot” water for tea was lukewarm, making it impossible to even steep a teabag. And the prosciutto was so cheap and salty that even the street cats wouldn’t touch it. Between the obstacle-course access to the room, nightclub soundtrack, prison-hospital lighting, and breakfast that makes gas station food look gourmet, just save your money and stay somewhere else. Your knees, ears, and taste buds will thank you.

So the first thing to say, based on other reviews, is that yes there is some noise from the bars and restaurants. If you want to stay in the old town this is what you get, whichever hotel. This is minimal and didn’t bother us at all. Stay out of the old town full stop if you don’t like background noise. The staff, especially the staff, the room and the general facilities were of a high standard and had everything we needed. Walk outside the door and you are in the heart of the town with everything within walking distance. Breakfast was buffet style and had everything we needed to set up for the day. It is served on a covered terrace and we had no issues finding a table. Nothing was too much trouble, including arranging airport transfers. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the old town. p.s air conditioning in the room was great and definitely welcomed after a day walking the town.
