Hôtel avec décoration d'époque, très romantique avec tout confort. Sa situation plein centre, face à la cathédrale est idéale pour visiter Metz. De plus, un tarif préférentiel est prévu pour le parking public a deux pas.

Accueil très moyen par une personne peu professionnelle pendue a son telephone mais néanmoins charmante. Elle a été ensuite remplacée par des personnes très professionnelle et serviables. L’hôtel est très bien placé . Confortable. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux . Attention, pas d’ascenseur et le troisième étage dispose d’escaliers « casse gueule »

Stayed one night. Nice room in the annex. Windows was able to block most of the noise from the street . Be aware of the stairs hence no elevator. Pillows a bit too thick / high for our personal liking. Bed good. Breakfast was very nice too.

Meget centralt beliggende gammelt og charmerende hotel lige ved katedralen i Metz. Meget hyggeligt og stemningsfuldt- knirkende, gamle trapper, lysekroner, originale gamle døre. Vi sov i en bygning ved siden af hotellet oppe på 3. etage med gamle bjælker - og INGEN elevator. Meget pænt badeværelse og hyggeligt værelse.

This hotel is located in the heart if the city. The staff were awesome. Old city charm and newer upgrades. There is not an elevator so be prepared for stairs. We would stay again.

Absolutely lovely place with wonderful staff. Convenient location, and waking up to see the cathedral from our room was the highlight of our stay. Stars deducted only because unfortunately our room had no main shower, just a handheld shower over a bath. Everything was clean and well looked after though. Note there is no on-site parking, and in the annexe at least, no lift. The stairs keep you fit though!

An old hotel, definitely had character. Toilet played up a couple of times but quickly fixed. Air con/heating damned noisy. We were placed 3 floors up which with suitcases was hard going on windy staircases. Good breakfast quite plentiful. Didn't eat their otherwise as couscous not our thing. Great positioning for exploration. If you like fresh air in your room it's wise to wait until it quietens as can be noisy. On the whole enjoyed 4 day's here and would stay again. Used the theatre parking which you get a discount with the hotel. Yvette the hotel receptionist was so very helpful and is a great asset as front of house with heaps of helpful information. The lady that helps at breakfast could learn to smile occasionally!

Smooth check in, wonderful and helpful staff. We forgot our wine bottle opener, so we asked at the front desk and the gentleman found one for us as qell as wine glasses to use. No parking however you can use the parking garage near by at a reduced rate through hotel. Great location next the the cathedral and short walk downtown for shopping and food. No elevator, only a very old staircase that had uneven and narrow steps the higher you climbed. This was a challenge with our large suitcases. There were seating areas on each floor where you could enjoybthe city views while having a glass of wine. We can't wait to plan another trip to Metz so we can stay at this hotel.

Un hôtel agréable avec un accueil sans chichi. La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses et le lit confortable. Dommage que la poubelle de la salle de bain n'ait pas été vidée à l'arrivée et que le ferme porte de la porte du couloir la fasse claquer très fort à chaque passage.

Sehr schönes Zimmer in einem Haus mit Geschichte ! Hervorragendes Sonntags-Frühstück mit reichlich leckerem Kuchen, frischen Früchten und hochwertigem Käse bzw. Wurst. Durchweg hilfsbereites freundliches Personal. Leider war das Zimmer im Annex nur über 4 steile Treppen erreichbar; kein Lift ! Die spektakuläre Aussicht auf die Kathedrale wurde leider -trotz hochwertiger Schallschutzfenster- durch anhaltenden nächtlichen Autolärm und lautes Publikum auf dem Platz vor dem Hotel beeinträchtigt. Ein Zimmerservice fand nur sporadisch statt. Also: Viel Licht und einige Schatten. Obwohl das Zimmer über Expedia gebucht war, wurde dies bei der Endabrechnung „vergessen“. Schade.

Zeer centraal gelegen hotel met propere kamers. Onze kamer was zeer klein en met een bed die eigenlijk bedoeld was voor 1 persoon denken we. Voor de rest wel ok. Verzorgd ontbijt voor een goeie prijs. Vriendelijk personeel!

This is a 400 year old hotel, situated beside the cathedral fromm 1220. 2. Floor, no elevator, but charming. Large room, separated toilet and bathroom. Both modern, the mainroom was old fashioned, like it should be. Really charming.

Superb location across the street from the great Cathedral. Breakfast buffet was outstanding- fruit, pastries, meats and cheeses, cereal, yoghurts, coffee made to order and fresh squeezed orange juice. Our room was in the "annex" next to the main building- older decoration but very good bathroom.

Large room very French with fantastic view of cathedral. The building from late 1700’ and for those that want that nostalgic feel of old France this is perfect. Our part of hotel not mobility access as we climbed three floors stairs. But the location outstanding, restaurants everywhere, perfect for Christmas market and the cathedral is a must see.

Charming rooms, but beware several are three doors away in a separate building, and up some steep wooden open stairs - novel, but with no lift. The “shower” in our room was a shower attachment on a kidney-shaped bath, with nothing on the wall to hold it up - so no walk in shower. During our stay we had no working wifi, and no tv, and the zircon wasn’t working effectively, but we received no discount, so our room was not provided as advertised: disappointing. The location is excellent, and the rooms tidy and nicely furnished, but make sure to ask for a view over to the Cathedral. Breakfast is not inclusive: we skipped it and didn’t miss it. There are several coffee shops nearby, and some pleasant places next door to eat and drink in the evening.

This hotel room was amazing, excellent view of the cathedral, lovely furnishings and super quiet. Has a kettle and cups for making tea. Staff very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good. Just one thing, our rooms air con/heating, had a weird loud intermittent buzz sometimes, especially noticeable at night. But overall a marvellous place to stay.

Das Frühstück war fantastisch. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft, frische Obstauswahl (Trauben, Melone, Kiwi, Ananas, Pfirsich, Erdbeeren,...), tolles Brot, Aufstriche - TOP! Zimmer war sehr schön. Leider ließen sich die Geräusche der Klimaanlage nicht beseitigen (trotz Ausschalten). Man war bemüht dies zu regeln. Leider vergeblich. Zimmertausch wäre möglich gewesen, aber mit Umständen verbunden. Preisnachlass fiel kleiner aus als vorgeschlagen und erwartet, war aber zumindest vorhanden. Lage, Frühstück, Personal, Zimmer waren toll - daher kommen wir gerne wieder (und die Klimaanlage wird bis dahin wohl repariert sein). Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Accueil très moyen par une personne peu professionnelle pendue a son telephone mais néanmoins charmante. Elle a été ensuite remplacée par des personnes très professionnelle et serviables. L’hôtel est très bien placé . Confortable. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux . Attention, pas d’ascenseur et le troisième étage dispose d’escaliers « casse gueule »

Staff very helpful and polite, room beautiful super bathroom. Facilities fab, the whole hotel was beautiful and bonus was it had ample parking in a town too. Wonderful medieval town I want to return lots to see and do.

The cathedral view of this property is amazing. In general, the hotel is great - everything functioned, staff was helpful, rooms are really nice. We stayed in the annex, which was slightly less convenient (not a huge deal, though). And it took several hours to get a roll-away bed for our daughter. There is no shower curtain/glass on the bathtub, which makes it really hard to not make a mess. And there was a glass recycling facility right outside our room (not the hotel's fault, obviously), which was loud during much of the day. But the hotel itself was really nice, tons of restaurants nearby, great location.

It's a lovely hotel in a historic house in an excellent location, however there are some shortcomings. Wi-fi was very slow on the third floor, the air con was leaky and made dripping sounds at night, and it would be good to have USB charging points as you would find in most hotels nowadays. The biggest disappointment was being charged an extra 10 euros per night on checkout, without prior notice, for an extra bed for my son, even though we had specifically booked and paid for a 3 person room. They explained that the bed is additional to the basic price of the room, however it really should have been included; this very much felt like a hidden charge, and makes comparing hotel prices impossible.

An old hotel, definitely had character. Toilet played up a couple of times but quickly fixed. Air con/heating damned noisy. We were placed 3 floors up which with suitcases was hard going on windy staircases. Good breakfast quite plentiful. Didn't eat their otherwise as couscous not our thing. Great positioning for exploration. If you like fresh air in your room it's wise to wait until it quietens as can be noisy. On the whole enjoyed 4 day's here and would stay again. Used the theatre parking which you get a discount with the hotel. Yvette the hotel receptionist was so very helpful and is a great asset as front of house with heaps of helpful information. The lady that helps at breakfast could learn to smile occasionally!

Smooth check in, wonderful and helpful staff. We forgot our wine bottle opener, so we asked at the front desk and the gentleman found one for us as qell as wine glasses to use. No parking however you can use the parking garage near by at a reduced rate through hotel. Great location next the the cathedral and short walk downtown for shopping and food. No elevator, only a very old staircase that had uneven and narrow steps the higher you climbed. This was a challenge with our large suitcases. There were seating areas on each floor where you could enjoybthe city views while having a glass of wine. We can't wait to plan another trip to Metz so we can stay at this hotel.

The hotel is in a charming 17th century building by the cathedral. It is very convenient for walking around downtown Metz, and about a 20 minute walk from the train station. The common areas of the building are generally attractive and well-maintained, though some of the newer fixtures (like room doors) are a bit shabby. My room was clean and well-appointed, though the bed wasn’t especially comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Overall, given the location, price and amenities, I’d stay again.

This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful hotel as it was well worth a return visit. It is located directly opposite the fabulous Cathedral and the decor is like Louis XlV - so lavish. It is ideal for visiting the lndoor Market and quaint little pubs round about. Love it!

Great location right next to the Cathedrale, covered market and lots of restaurants. Hôtel is old and historic with decor appropriate to the historic feel. Bedrooms are spacious and bed was comfortable. No elevator so if you can’t do stairs I would recommend calling and asking for a room on the first floor. Breakfast was 13€ and consisted of breads, pastries, fruit, meats and cheese. Great affordable choice!

It’s a very well located hotel. It’s an old building so it has no elevator, so you need to carry your luggage up to 3 floors (like in my case). Since it’s an old building as I said , the steps of the stairs get narrow at the top, without luggage it’s not bad, carrying the luggage gets tricky. It was the most limited breakfast of my trip in the 11 hotels I stayed this time, but still satisfying.

Das Frühstück war fantastisch. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft, frische Obstauswahl (Trauben, Melone, Kiwi, Ananas, Pfirsich, Erdbeeren,...), tolles Brot, Aufstriche - TOP! Zimmer war sehr schön. Leider ließen sich die Geräusche der Klimaanlage nicht beseitigen (trotz Ausschalten). Man war bemüht dies zu regeln. Leider vergeblich. Zimmertausch wäre möglich gewesen, aber mit Umständen verbunden. Preisnachlass fiel kleiner aus als vorgeschlagen und erwartet, war aber zumindest vorhanden. Lage, Frühstück, Personal, Zimmer waren toll - daher kommen wir gerne wieder (und die Klimaanlage wird bis dahin wohl repariert sein). Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

The hotel is an old traditional hotel situated opposite the Cathedral. We were in an annexe room 2 doors down from the main hotel but this wasn’t a problem. There are a lot of stairs to climb though and this might be restrictive for some guests. The continental style breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Metz.

Very charming hotel in the heart of Metz. Great location close to several attractions and restaurants/cafes. Very friendly staff who were able to accommodate our very poor French. If you are looking for a traditionally classic French hotel, look no further. It helped make our stay in Metz a magical experience.
