Beautiful little hotel right in the old town of Bergamo. Parking was available for a reasonable fee. Staff were courteous and helpful and answered all questions we had, and were very generous with information about activities around town. The furniculare is right next to the building and you will hear it running, but it did not bother us. The room, bed, and bathroom were beautiful and comfortable. We also tried the La Ripa restaurant on the property for dinner and had one of the best meals of our lives. We only wish we had stayed one more night.

Le Funi was an amazing find—we were so lucky to have chosen it for Bergamo. It's location in the upper city is perfect—parking (for a fee) was easy and welcome. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with excellent local suggestions. Walking into town from the hotel was easy and being out of the concentrated tourist section was a relief. The room was lovely, the bathroom / shower was superb. And the downstairs breakfast room was cosy and a totally excellent way to start the day.

Abbiamo soggiornato nella camera 107, molto pulita, confortevole e accogliente. Il letto è ottimo e la doccia eccellente. Viaggiavamo con il nostro cane e il personale è stato molto attento. Siamo arrivati prima dell’orario del check-in e la camera era già disponibile. La colazione è varia e di ottima qualità. Nonostante l’hotel si trovi nella ZTL, registrano la targa dell’auto per evitare multe. Ci è piaciuto così tanto che abbiamo deciso di prolungare il soggiorno per un’altra notte.

Flott, lite hotell med perfekt beliggenhet i gamlebyen. Veldig rent, nydelig frokost og god seng. Effektiv og stillegående aircondition. Svært hyggelige ansatte. Det eneste vi har å pirke på var at badet var dårlig utformet med tanke på vannsprut ved dusjing, og at det manglet noen knagger til å henge håndklærne på. Kommer gjerne tilbake hit.

I am glad to have had the chance to stay here. The hotel is in a great location to walk to the wonderful old town of upper Bergamo. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and I could not rate them highly enough. I wish I had had the chance to stay for the breakfast as it looked wonderful but I had an early flight to catch. The room was as expected and bathroom was clean but the most uncomfortable pillows I have slept on for a long time

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und auch wirklich groß, vor allem aber sauber. Das Frühstück war völlig ausreichend und sehr lecker. Vom Hotel aus kann man wunderbar loswandern, oder alternativ direkt mit der Seilbahn nebenan in die Berge fahren.

This was a very classy hotel at a good price. Everything was great, the room was modern, bed & pillow very comfortable , the bathroom was modern, with a good shower, water pressure good. Great airconditioning, great location, high on the hill, but minutes from old town. There is a slight incline when walking back to hotel. The staff were all outstanding, the breakfast was very good. You could sit outside up stairs or indoors down stairs. Cerials, cakes juice upstairs, but much more down stairs, hot food, savoury, cheese, ham, etc. The staff make you a nice cuppaccino for you. The bus from the airport drops you about 150meyers from hotel, you just have to walk up the slight hill. If you arrive after midnight, you may need to take a taxi, make sure the driver knows where the hotel is, otherwise you get messed around an price can be as high as Euro50, not nice when bus costs less than a couple Euros Try the pizza restaurant just down the road from hotel, it's called Assaje, you get a lot more than you bargain for (few treats, including some alcoholic beverages for free). Overall a great stay and would go back there again

Lovely property just a few minutes from the town centre but with great views and very peaceful and quaint looking yet modern interior. Our room a decent size with plenty space to hang up clothes and had a safe too. Bathroom had all the extras too if required and very large and airy. Breakfast on the terrace or in quaint dining room, always space for everyone when we dined there if it rained! Also had some gluten free options for myself which was a bonus! Staff very welcoming and helpful, Would certainly return to this hotel if in Bergamo in future.

We loved the location of Le Funi Hotel in Alta Bergamo. Our room was nice with our own private patio, nice bed and bathroom. The staff, especially Viola, were extremely kind, enthusiastic, helpful and accommodating with arranging drivers, tours and dinner reservations. We were very happy at this hotel!

I like that the room had a fridge/minbar. The breakfast was outside, in my personal opinion, I would like the breakfast to be inside, but all over the breakfast was good. The staff was very polite and nice. A good hotel I wpuld stay at again.

Lovely property just a few minutes from the town centre but with great views and very peaceful and quaint looking yet modern interior. Our room a decent size with plenty space to hang up clothes and had a safe too. Bathroom had all the extras too if required and very large and airy. Breakfast on the terrace or in quaint dining room, always space for everyone when we dined there if it rained! Also had some gluten free options for myself which was a bonus! Staff very welcoming and helpful, Would certainly return to this hotel if in Bergamo in future.

We loved the location of Le Funi Hotel in Alta Bergamo. Our room was nice with our own private patio, nice bed and bathroom. The staff, especially Viola, were extremely kind, enthusiastic, helpful and accommodating with arranging drivers, tours and dinner reservations. We were very happy at this hotel!

This was a very classy hotel at a good price. Everything was great, the room was modern, bed & pillow very comfortable , the bathroom was modern, with a good shower, water pressure good. Great airconditioning, great location, high on the hill, but minutes from old town. There is a slight incline when walking back to hotel. The staff were all outstanding, the breakfast was very good. You could sit outside up stairs or indoors down stairs. Cerials, cakes juice upstairs, but much more down stairs, hot food, savoury, cheese, ham, etc. The staff make you a nice cuppaccino for you. The bus from the airport drops you about 150meyers from hotel, you just have to walk up the slight hill. If you arrive after midnight, you may need to take a taxi, make sure the driver knows where the hotel is, otherwise you get messed around an price can be as high as Euro50, not nice when bus costs less than a couple Euros Try the pizza restaurant just down the road from hotel, it's called Assaje, you get a lot more than you bargain for (few treats, including some alcoholic beverages for free). Overall a great stay and would go back there again

We also tried the La Ripa restaurant on the property for dinner and had one of the best meals of our lives. We only wish we had stayed one more night.

I am glad to have had the chance to stay here. The hotel is in a great location to walk to the wonderful old town of upper Bergamo. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and I could not rate them highly enough. I wish I had had the chance to stay for the breakfast as it looked wonderful but I had an early flight to catch. The room was as expected and bathroom was clean but the most uncomfortable pillows I have slept on for a long time

Le Funi was an amazing find—we were so lucky to have chosen it for Bergamo. It's location in the upper city is perfect—parking (for a fee) was easy and welcome. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with excellent local suggestions. Walking into town from the hotel was easy and being out of the concentrated tourist section was a relief. The room was lovely, the bathroom / shower was superb. And the downstairs breakfast room was cosy and a totally excellent way to start the day.

Fell in love with the views from our room on the 2nd level. Fantastic staff, very nicely decorated rooms, one of the best restaurants in town is attached to the hotel. You will be right around the corner from the funicular which takes you up to San Vigilio that has the best views. You’ll definitely enjoy yourself here.

The location was great! A short walk to the main city center and the views were stunning. Really enjoyed the restaurant on premises. The food was spectacular and the service excellent as well. The room looked very updated and spacious, but the staff made all the difference. Super friendly and enjoyable! Loved the fact that we were able to check in earlier, as the rooms were ready for us. I would definitely go back and I would encourage people to stay there and experience that amazing city.

Increíblemente bueno, hotel perfecto para disfrutar de la zona mas bonita de Bérgamo alto, el hotel es genial pequeño y acogedor, ubicado en una fantástica zona, muy cenca del centro de la zona alta, el personal fue genial , y las habitaciones muy modernas y confortables, el desayuno bastante aceptable, los camameros del desayuno eran muy servicialrs asi como los de la recepción, con unas vistas impresionante, el autobus del aeropuerto te deja justo a pocos metros, sin duda volveré a este hotel

Hotel is located near the castle funicular (up a hill), so if you have any medical condition or handicap this is not the hotel for you as the hills to the hotel are quite steep, taxi did drive all the way though. There is an elevator inside the hotel. Besides that its perfectly located near citta alta and nearby restaurants and sights. Very nice staff, the receptionists we met were really lovely and helpfull. Not the cleanest, very dusty behind the night stands and on the floor, also an old ticket behind the night stand from previous guests was still there. There was also some mould (we believe) in the shower. Besides this, bedding was clean. Altough there were no balcony there was tables and chairs placed outside that could be used to sit outside if you wanted to. Since hotel is near the fanicular it is a bit of noise when it runs, every 15 min. (until approx. 00:30 AM), at least in the room we got. Our room was located at a separate area out the back, that could be why it was a bit noisy from the funicular. We did not try the breakfast since our flight was early, but it was 15€ per person (we did not have it included in our booking) and located in a separate area / restaurant.

Don’t bother to book a deluxe room. We did but were probably assigned an economy room (according to the photos on sight as well). We were housed in an annex with no view. This was disappointing and definitely not worth the added cost. One night air conditioning malfunctioned. That being said it’s a charming property and very well situated just outside the old walls. Breakfast is not on the premises but at a coffee shop 5 minutes down hill.
