I had driven 3 hours from Fredericksburg to stay at La Quinta in Roanoke, as I had an important exam to take Friday morning. After struggling to connect to the hotel's "complimentary" wifi for nearly half an hour, I got in contact with a hotel representative over the phone. I was met with the news that the hotel's internet was down for everyone, not just me. He told me there was nothing he could do and to just wait. This was very unfortunate for me because I could have done some last-minute studying prior to my exam, but this required me to have internet access. I let both the evening and the morning receptionists know of the issue when I first checked in & was checking out, but both seemed dismissive and didn't seem to take this matter seriously. Other than this, the AC window unit in my room was noticeably loud as I was trying to sleep. I had it set to Low Automatic Cooling, but it was still hard to stay asleep due to the excessive noise. The room was beautiful & clean, but my experience would have been more enjoyable had the staff been more courteous & my sleep been more adequate.

This hotel just opened up in July 2026 With that said, everything was perfect. The staff was amazing!!! Open for almost 2 months, they are pet friendly. You’d never know because it doesn’t have an animal smell 10/10 exceptional
